Dr. Nilesh Shah was my son's pediatrician. He was a very compassionate, professional, incredibly friendly doctor and I would have definitely brag about him to just about anyone and make sure all my family and friends brought their children to him because of how sincere he was. My son is deaf and I have never been around anyone that was deaf and I did not know the steps or protocol on how to take care of a child with ear problems as this was my first child.
Dr. Shah took care of my son very well; however, when I decided to put my son on a program to help him from his disability, Dr. Shah turned my son down as a patient. I don't normally talk bad about any physicians and I'm not going to talk bad about him now, I'm just speaking on my experience.
Stuck not knowing how to deal with my child's disability, I didn't know what steps to take or what to do. I ended up changing my child's doctor as Dr. Shah didn't want to take care of my deaf son. I even begged for him to see my child, but he still refused to help him. I'm really disappointed in how everything went with this doctor, I was a young parent who did not know what direction to go and how to help my son. From my understanding, doctor's should be helpful and compassionate and he was those things until my son was diagnosed with his "problem".
You should definitely bring your kids to him, he's a great doctor, but if you're child has a disability I don't know if this would be your best choice. I loved everything about him until the situation arose. Any parent will do anything for their kids even if they don't know what steps to take, they will make sure to help their kids. I hope and pray that Dr. Shah will never have to go thru what I did with my child, it's a horrible situation. read more
