They are not caring medical professionals, but condescending marketers looking to inflate your bill with "tests" , "medications" and "procedures" to make hundreds of extra dollars at your expense. On top of it all they did such a horrible job, it resulted in us having to visit yet another vet to fix what they did with much more suffering to our dog and our pocketbook. NEVER AGAIN.

I took my dog here until May 29th of 2025. On April 3rd of 2025 he saw Dr Costello who was to treat…read morehim for an accidental bite he received on his nose when he and his playmate both grabbed for a ball at the same time. There was no cleaning out of the infection, no culture to determine if the antibiotic would even work and no X-ray. After 2 weeks it still looked horrible so we returned and were told he had a hairline fracture in his nose so he was put into a cone for 6 weeks, given another antibiotic (again NO culture) and told to return in 6 weeks. So, we followed the instructions, finished all of the antibiotic and at the end of 6 weeks it still was not healed. At that point I was told by a second Bet here that "Oh that won't ever heal because there's a lot of bacteria in the nose! SO, we found another Dr (Countryside Veterinary Clinic) and he required surgery because Town and Country never cleaned the debris out of the base of the wound. It took a year, 2 surgeries, a 6 week routine of a liquid oral antibiotic, to finally get the problem resolved because of Dr Costello's poor treatment of an infected would. At one point I was told he might not recover. He was 1 1/2 at the time of the injury. DO NOT GO TO TOWN AND COUNTRY. If I could give a 0 I would.

If I could give this place a minus 10 I would - but as it is I have to settle for a "1". We took…read moreour family german shepherd to Steel Valley Spay and Neuter on Wednesday, 8/12/26 for a standard neuter surgery. Long story short - they removed his whole scrotum - he had a very large surgery wound - he ended up getting very infected within two days even after we did everything right for him post surgery. It's now a week later - he's had to have two additional surgeries to try and make right what these people did and to try and save his life. We had to go to an emergency vet for a surgery on Sunday 8/16/26 and another vet to give him an additional surgery yesterday 8/22/26. We are thousands of dollars involved financially to get him healthy and he still is not out of the woods. He has suffered beyond anything you can imagine with what they did to him. When asked WHY did you remove his whole scrotum? they said that it's mentioned in the paperwork that "it could be a possibility" that this could occur (along with several other things that could "happen" during surgery) - but this was not a "must" - this was an elective decision the vet made to remove the entire scrotum because they said he had excessive skin that could cause him complications in the future- he has severe complications NOW from them removing it. We would never have agreed to have that done if they had asked us at the time they decided they were going to do it . By removing the whole scrotum and causing a much bigger poorly done incision, it opened him up for more risk - risk that did not need to be taken. It has turned a typical neuter into a tragic nightmare for our dog. The surgery itself was poorly done and a hack job. We've had professional feedback that it's the worst butcher job they've seen. Also professional feedback suggesting the infection was from the inside such as possibly dirty setting or instruments. In regard to removing the whole scrotum, Steel Valley's office is standing by the "well it was on the paperwork and your son signed it" - Well prior to a surgery there is always paperwork to sign and basically you have to sign it to have the surgery done . I would never step foot in this place again and if you are concerned about the well-being of your pet and their life - the money you save is not worth it - it's the "TEMU OF VETS" and you end up spending thousands to overcome their negligence. The office manager wants to do nothing but blame the patient . I asked for a return of our money and she hung up on me. Read their other reviews and decide for yourself - they have 2 stars .

So, we took her to this vet we had been going to for many years. Dr. Singh said she'd have to be operated on immediately, claiming it could be life-threatening, but he'd have to do it on a Sunday because they're too busy, and not to let his staff know, which I thought was very peculiar. However, he made it seem so imperative to get it done that we made the appointment. Then, on Saturday night around 8, he called and canceled. When he first told me, my intuition told me something was wrong. So, after he cancelled on us. I went on Yelp and did a lot of research and found another vet. I got a second opinion, and I'm glad I did, because it turns out she was just coming into her cathood, and she didn't need an operation at all - she was completely healthy. I'm just warning others out there: if you go to this vet, I would definitely suggest getting another one and always getting second opinions on your animals, especially if your intuition is acting up.
