Spiceology spices
Naomi S.

This is located in the plaza where Brother's Market is off of Stirling Road and they've been open for less than a year. They have Spiceology spices which my husband was excited to find because he's seen them on IG. The store is very clean and the employee was friendly and very knowledgeable. They have a variety of meats, poultry and seafood which are available fresh or vacuum sealed frozen. The meats are grass fed from Florida and chickens are organic or free range. They also have wines and fish dip which is made locally and recipe cards if you want new inspiration for meals.

Poke bowl made with sushi grade salmon

AMAZING FRESH FISH! My boyfriend and I love making poke bowls. But ironically I am intolerant of the smell of fish or if something tastes at all fishy so it has to be extremely fresh in order for the smell to not bother me. I have tried many seafood markets all over south Florida and this was by far the freshest most amazing salmon I have had in FL. I always ask how long ago the fish arrived and he had said 2 days ago. I was very impressed with the quality, the cleanliness and products offered (wine etc) and the great customer service was the best part. I will be back soon.

Organic Sushi Grade Salmon.

Some things are meant to be appreciated in their simplest form. This organic sushi grade salmon from Niko's Market is just that. Seared over high heat skin side down to create a crisp and crunchy texture. Finished in the oven with salt + pepper to create this alluring piece of fish. Simply seasoned and cooked rare. It was accompanied with Brussels sprouts tossed in EVOO, butter + pancetta. Since discovering Niko's Market years ago we use them exclusively for seafood, poultry and beef.

This place is a must go if you're into fresh seafood and great customer service! They always have the right portions and if they don't, they will make accommodations for you. The owner even has recipe recommendations when you're not sure how you want to prepare it or if you've never made a particular dish before. Would definitely recommend and I will be back!

The exterior had visible trash and debris scattered all over the frontage and parking lot, a poor first impression for a restaurant. Inside, there was an extremely strong fish odor that made the dining space uncomfortable. While some fish smell is expected in a seafood market, it was quite overpowering for a place serving meals. We chose to sit outside, but the outdoor seating area appeared disorganized. Tables and chairs were scattered, the tablecloths looked dirty, and the floor was wet from what appeared to be a spilled drink that hadn't been cleaned up. There was no host stand and no greeting from anyone when we arrived, so it wasn't clear if it was self seating or hosted. we couldn't tell employees from the customers. Eventually someone told us we could sit anywhere. The staff member who assisted us was friendly, but he didn't seem very familiar with the menu when we asked about the differences between the fish options. We were also told they were out of sugar-free beverages and there was no beverage menu available. With some attention to cleanliness and organization, this place could likely offer a much better dining experience. The place seemed better suited as a seafood market rather than a restaurant, so we ultimately decided to leave and dine elsewhere. We hope the management takes note of these issues, as with some improvements this could be a much more enjoyable dining experience.

They own the donut store, have a new tropical fruit business and a hawker street food restaurant and this seafood market. The fact they keep building businesses that work Manh launched in Covid is a testament to their hard work and customer orientation. A few things about the seafood market - they can't filet or clean your fish for you so it means you need to do it yourself- maybe it's licensed as wholesale or their lease doesn't allow for it. About 1/2 the product is frozen fish but remember they are serving an Asian clientele so many want species not available locally so there is a wide range of fish species from Southeast Asia. The fresh fish is limited to what's seasonal and fresh so variety of fresh fish changes and is larger quantities of a smaller range of fish. Everything is either alive in tanks or presented in ice so I don't follow the review that says things in the floor- Asian customers are very discerning about fish being alive or extremely fresh. Prices are great I have received stone crab in colloidal size for the price of mediums and they were almost 1lb a claw. Live crabs and lobsters are under $10 and usually the fish is fairly priced and below the supermarket prices. They are still building g the store it's in "sift launch" mode the fish and the tropical fruit store are selling online and wholesale as well as retail so imagine like all their restaurants and stores they will perfect over time but it's a good edition to Davie

There were at least five tables available inside the restaurant and only two occupied with couples and I wanted to sit inside, but she didn't allow me to sit where I wanted to sit so she sat me outside. There were mosquitoes it was dusk. I wasn't too happy plus it was windy, but anyhow, I ordered a Scooby and I asked her was it the Scooby like the ones that they serve in coconuts in Fort Lauderdale it is like oh yeah it's the same chef that worked there but they serve it a little different well when her Scooby's came they were the size of my pinky and it was seven of them and it was $27 very overpriced. I also ordered fish and chips which she said was extremely popular, it was so greasy that I asked for some paper napkins and she brought me two paper napkins, and I put one of the pieces on top of the paper napkin and it was soaked, so I asked her for more paper napkins and she brought me some more paper napkins and then I just got grossed out. It was too much grease. I ordered a glass of wine their house wine. And my total bill for one person was $67. They never asked me if everything was OK so I just paid the bill paid the tip and left. I wouldn't recommend that place to anybody.

Everything is kept in neat order. Prices are pretty reasonable. And the fact that it also has some mini takeout/restaurants on site is a huge place. We could finish the shopping while waiting for the order to get ready. The place has a huge parking lot. The store is in progressive village. The traffic here is a lot lighter. They have a fish market where we can get fresh fish cleaned and cut in a way you like. The only minor complaint was that nobody was there to assist when I went. Maybe they were under staffed. This place is a must if you are Asian and need a big bag of rice. Count me as a regular customer here.

Now I don't have to traipse 30-40 minutes to Davie/Pembroke Pines/sunrise/Miramar just to get my Asian groceries. While this Asian supermarket is on the smallish side, it does pack a whole lot of goodies in. It caters more towards the Korean cuisine but they do have many Chinese & Southeast Asian products that I can pick up in a pinch. I will say their aisles are very narrow, only allowing for enough space for one way traffic flow. But their shelves are nearly organized compared to Mango Tree supermarket in Davie. Their produce section is small but they really pack a whole lot of unique produce that are hard to source elsewhere. For example they have Lion's mane mushrooms that I have not seen anywhere else. Their produce is fresh and reasonably priced. They have great meat section and all the kimchi and Korean banchan ingredients with some already prepped items available for purchase. The fresh fish section is very limited and nothing to write home about so will skip. But there are lots of frozen food items drinks, desserts, bags of rice and a few fast food restaurant stalls at the mouth of the entrance. Now when I'm cooking and find I need coconut milk or bean sprouts or crab sticks, I can run over to Kimchi mart in a pinch.
