Well maintained and freshly made. They also sell box lunches at the stand outside so if you're in a rush, you can grab and go. There are a few tables shared in front but they can get busy.

I'm of Asian descent. I often shop for my Asian seasonings and groceries at places out west, closer to my home (Enson or New York Market). But I do love this new store! It offers some of the same items but is heavily stocked with Korean-centered products. Mostly, I loved the eateries on site. There is a sushi place that is teaming with take-out containers. Also, a "bb.q Chicken" (Korean fried chicken) franchise is a part of the integrated food court. Already-cooked Korean items like corn dogs and bibimbap are available, as well as baked goods and lots of other alluring food. None of the other places where I shop offer such a variety of fast food. Of course, the store carries lots of fresh veggies, fish, and all sorts of frozen dumplings and desserts. You name it, and they probably have it. They even had a refrigerator of just roe. I have never seen that in any of the other stores. I love roe! Although the store seems stocked and is very clean, I encountered one major problem. You cannot get two shopping carts down an aisle side by side. The store needs either bigger aisles or smaller carts. Maneuvering can be difficult, especially with uncooperative shoppers who are not congenial. The frozen food section is tremendous with a myriad of offerings. I had to control myself and left with just a bag of frozen japchae dumplings. I would have bought much more, including some passion fruit bars that were calling my name, but I had another stop before heading home and everything would have melted. Next time. Since I pass the mart at least once every two weeks on the way to a volunteer job, I am sure I will be popping in often.

Opened last week in the Shoppes On Arts Avenue with some parts still under construction although extremely busy. The fresh squid and the live lobster are definitely an attraction. Some of the traditional asain items are rarely found at Publix or Winn Dixie. The sake sets are beautifully designed and reasonably priced. The white onions at .99 cents each were massive, literally the size of my hand (see pic). The Kimbab Ramen eatery displayed fresh sushi priced between $7.99 - $10.99.

This place is the best! So happy they have opened in the area. It is an Asian Market lover's dream! Very helpful & pleasant staff, too!

Kimchi Mart is a welcome addition to Fort Lauderdale, especially East of 95 which has a dearth of Asian grocery stores. Kimchi Mart is all new, with clean aisles, fridges and freezers. Goods include neatly packed produce, fish and meats. It's not a supermarket destination the size of Enson or Mango Tree. With the name Kimchi, the focus seems to be on Korean groceries, frozen seafood and dry goods. I'd guess 75%, with the rest a mixture of Asian items. I hope in the future the stock is more balanced or else I still have to trek to Lauderhill, Davie, Plantation and points west. Produce, fish and meat prices are reasonable, and most are definitely cheaper than Publix (ie., ginger root $1.29/lb vs $5.00/lb !?). The store was not busy on a weekday afternoon, but it was still a bit hard to maneuver the aisles. Narrower shopping carts would have been easier to get past other carts and the stacks of boxes on the floor. The floor staff seemed nice and responsive to questions. I can tell they are still learning their jobs. The cashier was quick and on point.

OMG...so many brands of Asian lychee and found the one I needed so bought two jars for $3.99. They have four cute restaurants inside - bbq chicken, sushi king, K-Roll Yumsem, and K-Sides. Everything looks so fresh and some odd too lol. Check out was easy.

Wish I could call this a hidden gem but it already seems to be a hotspot for some fresh and yummy casual Korean food and supermarket! The produce prices are very good. Fresh fish and every kind of ramen or Asian noodle one could want. Bags of all kinds of rice at great prices. The food stalls are open from 10:30-8 and serve up sushi, freshly fried Korean chicken wings, bibimbaps/noodles/soups, and more. The wings take about 20-25 min to make but are worth it. They are HUGE and 8 is more than plenty for a meal. My husband and I split 8 soy garlic and 8 spicy fried wings. I would compare the taste of the spicy fried to a Popeyes style spicy fried chicken (but much better quality.) The soy garlic was very good, similar to BONCHON for those that have tried that chain. This one was a bit more breaded which I liked. I liked having a side of rice too, and the pickled radish (you can opt in or out of this with your wings, it's a nice refreshing bite.) We are looking forward to returning and trying other flavors! There is a row of 10 or so tables which were all full. You can bring your own water or drink OR grab one from the grocery fridge (but the payment is separate for all grocery.) They also have prepared foods (kimchi of all kinds, japchae, etc.) but you have to be quick or they sell out. They are being made fresh onsite. So excited to have this in town! Plenty of parking.

Loved the shop-and-eat vibe at Kimchi Mart! It's a tidy, organized market with fresh produce, reasonably priced meats, and helpful staff. We grabbed sushi (tasty, comparable to Phat Boy Sushi) and galbi Korean fried chicken (flavorful, great with the included radish). A pro tip: order the chicken first, then shop. We did, though we missed a text alert when it was ready--a minor hiccup with their system. The small seating area makes for a unique, cute lunch date. Left happy with our meal and a bag full of kimchi, marinades, and ginger for home. Definitely a winner!

Just checked out the newly opened Kimchi Mart, and I'm so glad we stopped by. This place is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood, especially if you enjoy cooking or hosting sushi nights at home. The fresh seafood section immediately caught my eye -- the selection was impressive, and the salmon roe was a standout. Everything looked incredibly fresh, well displayed, and very reasonably priced compared to other specialty markets. The food court is truly the highlight of the store. We picked up some freshly made sushi, and the quality honestly exceeded expectations. The fish tasted clean, fresh, and expertly prepared -- the kind of quality you'd happily pay much more for at a restaurant. It made for an easy, delicious meal without any prep at home. The store itself is clean, well organized, and easy to navigate, making the shopping experience enjoyable. Staff were friendly and efficient, and checkout was quick despite the store being busy. Overall, Kimchi Mart feels thoughtfully curated, with great products at fair prices. It's a perfect stop whether you're planning a special dinner or just grabbing something quick and tasty. I'll definitely be coming back to explore more of the seafood options and food court offerings. Highly recommend checking it out!

Looking for hard to find seafood or live seafood at reasonable prices? Seems this is the spot for…read moremost of it! Rolling up, it seems this is a market that caters more to commercial clientele, but they are open to the public too, which means you get access to all the goods. Walking in I noticed live seafood tanks that looked specific to fish, but couldn't see anything in them. I'm assuming you just had to ask. In the first case I saw nice looking shrimp and shellfish, and around the corner there were whole fish, including many of my favorites I don't often see for sale. Mutton snapper and hogfish, both around $8/Lb, lion fish at $5, and some lesser known species of grouper and smaller delicate fish as well. This selection is what makes me give them a higher rating. We were there late in the day, and the cases were mostly empty. I assume earlier in the day there's more! It's worth noting the whole fish still had guts in tact, so if you want to buy one you might ask them to clean it for you. We were on the hunt for stone crabs, and when we called they said they had them, but when we got there they were all in the freezer. Freezing shellfish definitely changes them, and not for the better. I can't imagine eating frozen stone crabs. In fact I've never heard of buying stone crabs frozen at all. So we didn't. I'd definitely go back for fish!

Surprisingly impressed. Very fresh, well-seasoned, but not salty, grilled salmon. With the first…read morebite, I could tell this was really fresh fish, not something that had been sitting in a display case for a few days. The portion was great for 9$. I actually split the hot lunch special with a family member-you know, trying to reduce portions. The steamed veggies were waterlogged, but at least they were a healthier side option to counterbalance the other side of white rice. Didn't take long for the friendly fishmonger to grill up my selection, he was even considerate enough to ask how well done did I prefer the salmon be cooked. The mild flavor of the flaky salmon definitely peaks my interest to return and sample more of the lunch specials. The cashier is all business, no smile. I don't understand why a person raises his or her voice, if you don't understand his/her accent. Just a cultural thing, I guess. I'll plan my next visit better, so that I can also buy some fresh uncooked seafood.

I finally decided to try 15th Street Fisheries after noticing it years ago while staying near the…read moreHilton Fort Lauderdale Marina. Because of the incredible online ratings, I honestly went in somewhat skeptical, wondering if it was simply another overhyped waterfront tourist restaurant. Thankfully, the food completely proved me wrong. The location itself is beautiful. The restaurant sits right on the marina with gorgeous waterfront views, yachts everywhere, and that classic Fort Lauderdale atmosphere people look for when visiting South Florida. It feels upscale but still relaxed and comfortable at the same time. If you are staying nearby without a car, getting there can be a little confusing because you have to walk around the waterway, but by car it is extremely easy to access and only a few minutes from the Hilton Marina area, airport, and cruise port. Complimentary valet parking was also a nice touch. We arrived around 9 PM and were seated immediately upstairs with no wait at all. The dining room was not packed, which made the slower service a little more noticeable. Our server was polite but not very engaging or energetic, and drinks and ordering took longer than expected throughout the evening. It did not ruin the experience, but it definitely was not standout service either. Unfortunately, the cocktails were by far the weakest part of the night. My wife ordered a Bellini that tasted artificial and overly sweet, almost like a premade mix instead of a fresh cocktail. I ordered a margarita with Código tequila, which is actually a very good tequila, but the drink itself tasted bottled and processed rather than fresh. My sister-in-law had a strawberry gin lemonade-style drink that had the same issue. Honestly, the cocktails felt low quality compared to the level of the restaurant and food. I would definitely recommend ordering wine instead. Now for the food, which was excellent from beginning to end. We started with calamari, shrimp cocktail, and a tuna teriyaki bowl. The calamari especially stood out because it tasted fresh, lightly battered, crispy, and not greasy at all. It did not have that frozen seafood taste many restaurants serve. For entrées, everyone ordered seafood, and every plate impressed us. The mahi-mahi was fresh and perfectly cooked. The salmon was flavorful enough that my niece actually finished the entire plate, which almost never happens. The seafood pasta was rich, creamy, and loaded with lobster, scallops, shrimp, mussels, and other seafood. My wife's red snapper was also excellent and cooked beautifully. The best dish of the night, however, was definitely the sea bass. It was perfectly cooked, moist, flavorful, and honestly one of the better sea bass dishes I have had in South Florida. Everyone at the table kept taking bites from my plate because it was that good. Desserts were also very solid. The crème brûlée had a thick caramelized crust done properly, and the brownie dessert disappeared quickly thanks to my son. Overall, I completely understand why this restaurant has such a strong reputation. The seafood quality was genuinely impressive, the marina setting is beautiful, and the atmosphere makes for a great Fort Lauderdale dining experience. The cocktails definitely need major improvement, and service could be more polished, but the food alone makes this place worth visiting. I would absolutely return again, especially for the sea bass.
