The name of this place. Horrendous…read more... But pretty good gym for the price. The equipment selection is very vast. It's never insanely busy here even during lunch and after work hours. So you will always hone an area or machine freed up for you. My only complaints is that they blast booty rap really loud through the speakers. Like the loudest gym ever where you can barely hear the people at the front desk when speaking to them. Other times they will play butt rock which is just a tad more tolerable. Some may not survive without head phones. The men's bathroom is not the cleanest. Always smells. If you are a sauna user. It is also just mid. My other bigger complaint is that the heavy bags upstairs are unusable. They hung em on chains so high that they are pretty much unusable and they run into the ceiling frame. Kind of a safety issue on that part..... Other than that, better than most other gyms in this area of the price point

DONT GO HERE, shitty staff AND DIRTY. I'm a gym fiend, I…read morelike to go to the staples and try out what they got. Worst experience I've ever had with gyms. Don't even ask for trial passes and one week pass. Same price as the membership. This place is just trying to bleed you of money. They don't care about the gains like their name states. Day 1 when I tried signing up I arrived at 6am, stood at the front desk for nearly 20min with no one around. Turns out dude was in the restroom making TikTok's. Signed up, no tour, no info on the gym, no idea what he was even really doing. Day 15 I walked in to the gym, signed in. Walked past front desk, went to warm up and forgot my water bottle in my car. Went to grab it then came back in. While I was walking back in the front desk dude yelled with insane attitude "hey sign in" I replied I already did, maybe if you weren't on your phone looking down when I walked in the first time you would have known. I am all for understanding, but you raise your voice at me like that? Not my jam, but I kept it cool cause I just took some pre and figured I was just raging from the pre. But it pissed me off and ruined my lift for that day. Day 25 they don't seem to know which is a standard for their foam roles or straps. One person lent me the foam roles, another person required an item to check it out. I attended this gym for maybe 3 or 4 month and went right back to BigTex cause this gym sucked. They say 'Mecca' or whatever but this place is Mecca crap. Scummy management, save your money. Go to BigTex, MetroFlex or even Fitness Connect. Prices are similar. Loud music, and when I say loud you have noise canceling headphone on and you still hear their gyms music. Dirty! cleaning staff is there but somehow it's still nasty, dried sweat on the window for months on end. "Ohh it's busy" I drew an 8 on the door with my sweat and it stayed there for nearly a month. I'd rather be at metroflex with the weight outside in a barn basically. Restrooms never seem to be working properly, one of the showers is always running. Yet no one is in there. Haunted or busted water system? Final review it's a NEW gym but somehow feels like it's already 4 years old. Cool equipment, shitty staff, shitty management, shitty deals, shitty across the board. Yet they are EXPANDING and making ANOTHER gym? Focus on one make it awesome, then start another. Money grubbing at its finest

This gym is super spacious, modern with state of the art equipment. In addition, the gym has a posing room (yep! posing room!), hydro massage and sauna services. There is something for every discerning gym member. I went for a total body workout early this morning. While the time was early morning, the gym was in high gear with a fully packed gym...not an original idea. It was not long waits for the equipment....so, the selection of equipment is good. My goal was to do 3 set of 15-20 reps. Goal accomplished...in addition, it is centrally located with easy access from Burnet Road. With standard Gold's Gym membership, you can access to this gym with no extra cost. Monthly membership is $29-$49 dependent on access level and premium amenities.

It wasn't just a matter of the weight I had packed on in the past few years. I also knew I was terrible at holding myself accountable to actually go and DO the workout. I'd make every excuse possible; work is too busy, it's too far, it's too expensive, I can do it on my own.... (fill in the blank). After talking to a few trainers (at other companies), I settled on Shawn who had been introduced to me several months prior in relation to Real Estate (I'm a Realtor). I reached out, and found his approach to be thoughtful, well prescribed and he actually LISTENED! I explained the health challenges I had, what my expectations were, and what experiences I had with working out. I simply cannot work out at super intense levels with my health concerns. I wanted a trainer who would be willing to understand this and not just throw me a generic workout plan because that's all they know. In terms of Shawn himself and everyone at FxFit... awesome! Shawn is very accommodating with my ever changing schedule, when he was travelling for the holidays, he lined up a trainer to work with me. He sends workouts during the week to keep reminding me of what I could be doing this week in between workouts. He recently got Crossfit trained, and is always looking to improve his skill set as well. He know's his stuff, hires great trainers, is humble, thoughtful and actually listens. If you're still reading this, why? STOP. Go sign up already!

Very knowledgeable and respectful, but also friendly and professional, "no-nonsense and all about the work out" and the technique at the same time type of experience. I especially like that they don't waste your time but challenge you while simultaneously teaching you how to "get better" working with what you've already got and adding on to what you need to learn without being condescending or too ridiculously intense. I made the decision to invest in myself recently and got Very lucky in picking just the right trainer. Experienced and professional, but not afraid to push you after assessing where you are at in your fitness. Justin met me where I was at, not insulting my fitness level or intelligence by giving me any "fu fu" wussy work outs, but also evaluating my form and helping me work through some old injuries and incorrect muscular patterns so that I would perform to a higher level while preventing any further injuries in my body while training in a more technical and smarter way. If you're looking for a unique, respectful, and professional trainer that will create a great custom work out plan just for your body and individual needs, this is a great place to start on your fitness journey and the road to growth and improvement. I highly recommend him!

I'm impressed to see this place is still as beautiful as the day I stopped by when I saw I came back in 2017, and now as a mom who needs to work on her mobility, health and core strength meets posture, this place did not disappoint! My sister and I did the 1-month unlimited intro package for $180 and completed 20 classes, so we…read morereally got to experience the studio! Overall, we enjoyed the pace and structure of the classes. Most sessions are a slower burn with a strong focus on legs and glutes. The 45-minute format is a great sweet spot - it feels efficient and effective. Parking is also easy, with a few spots up front and a larger lot just a short walk away. That said, there are a few areas that could improve the experience: * Modifications: Instructors do a great job offering more advanced and challenging variations for experienced clients, which we appreciated, but they don't consistently provide modifications for those on the flip side. While we've seen instructors occasionally bring over balance poles or offer tweaks, this could be done much more consistently. Some students clearly struggle with certain movements, but rarely get offered alternative options like switching to forearms or adjusting spring tension. It often feels like you're either expected to push through or figure it out yourself. Including more beginner-friendly modifications would make the classes feel more inclusive and supportive. * Form corrections: Most instructors give general cues to the room, like "keep your hips square," but there's little individual feedback. It would be helpful if instructors walked around and gave personalized adjustments (with consent), especially when someone's form is clearly off or they're unsure if they're doing something right. Small, specific corrections can make a huge difference in both results and injury prevention. * Muscle engagement and intent: One class with Minjae really stood out - she explained exactly where we should be feeling the burn (outer glutes), and offered a simple adjustment (shift hips back) if we were feeling it in the wrong place (quads). That kind of clear, technical guidance helps so much in understanding how to activate the right muscles. More of this across instructors would be incredibly valuable. * Class structure: It'd be great to have some targeted classes - not every class needs to be full-body. A few sessions focused on arms/back or core would help people build a more balanced weekly routine and keep things feeling fresh. * Stretching: The cool-down at the end of class is often rushed. Adding even just 5 minutes of guided stretching would help release tension and end class on a more intentional note. * Studio space: More mirrors would be super helpful for checking and correcting form. Right now, only a few sides of the room have mirrors, which limits visibility. All that said, we truly enjoyed our month here and felt supported and challenged throughout. The instructors bring great energy, and the studio offers a solid foundation for anyone getting into Pilates. Thank you for creating such a welcoming space - excited to see how things continue to evolve!
