The staff was super kind in giving me a tour and ensuring I had everything I needed! The facilities were very clean and the class itself was great. I got a good sweat on and was able to keep up despite being a first-timer. Kudos to a great teacher who set me up for success! Upon the class ending, I was once again greeted and asked how class was. They made sure all my questions were answered, and I left feeling great. I will definitely return to try one of their other offerings (strength, cycling, etc.)!

The facility and equipment (free weights, treadmills, TRX, Infrared Sauna, bio-metrics reader etc.) are top-notch, the training staff is excellent, and the classes are great. For the classes, the staff certainly wants to help you see results, but you do train at your own pace. Which is a good thing because with like CrossFit (which I've done) workouts turn into competitions and competition lead to injury, Fit Austin is self paced. Ultimately, you're only competition is yourself and what you decide to put into it. Special shout out to Lane, who always brings the energy + excellent WODs to the table. Do yourself a favor, drop the gym membership that you rarely use and when you do you just got through the motions. The workouts are tough but the best thing is that they are ALWAYS different. It's never the same boring old routine. They recently got an infrared sauna too! Their class times align to people who work long hours in addition to people who don't work as you can attend the 6am or 7am classes ( that's where I'm at ) or the 12pm or 5:30pm classes. I enjoy this class so much more then I ever enjoyed Barre, Yoga or CrossFit. It's just a true combination of everything and that makes it so much more doable as it never gets boring. Random body parts are always sore. They also always provide alternatives if you have an injury. The class is super diverse. People of ALL ages and ALL weights. It's refreshing. You're not intimated but you're also motivated. Personal tip: If Lateef doesn't immediately respond to your email just email again. He's an actual owner hustler as he teaches so many of his classes and does a lot of personal training and he doesn't have an assistant so he juggles it all on his own. Not only is the workout great, but there is no commitments, unlike some gyms that have super high prices per month unless you commit for a year, it's still cheaper than camp gladiator with a 6 month commitment. Stronghorn is still less than 2 years new and growing very quickly so there will be more locations and times soon to make it easier to make a class. Jess, the founder, is genuinely one of the nicest, most fun people I know. He is great at motivating you to push yourself beyond what you thought your body could do and making you laugh and smile while doing it. The group is also still relatively small and has lots of social events, happy hours, and other nutritional challenges. If you're looking for a new fitfam in Austin, Stronghorn will be a great new home for you.

When I first started working out with OTL bootcamps, I was out of shape, always the last one to…read morefinish, and the self-described "weakest link." I remember being so frustrated that everyone else was so much stronger than me -- so much better than me. But Courtney reassured me that no one started the class being perfect; just like them, I would need to keep at it! So I did. I started doing bootcamps twice a week, and within a year I had dropped 20 lbs and gained so much self-confidence and strength. Eventually I moved up to going to indoor OTL twice/week plus bootcamp twice/week -- after two years of OTL I am so in love with this gym! I'm down 35 lbs total, 5 inches in the waist, but what I am the absolute happiest about is how healthy, strong and confident I am with myself. David is a fantastic motivator during his 6 a.m. classes and Courtney accepts nothing but your best during PM bootcamp! I stumbled across an add for Blush and decided to give it a try. A year later, I am a full on Blushie addict. I love that it is an all female environment. I love the women I work out with-who push me, encourage me, laugh when I cope with a tough workout by using sarcasm, and show up with me. Elliott, Kristina, and Travis are passionate about helping people learn correct technical form to avoid injury, and they are all really good at adjusting workouts to make them work for you even if you have pre-existing injuries.
