My dog was also severely burned during a spay at Nikki's place. They tried to blame it on the vaccines. My dog came very close to dying. After lots of $ and several surgeries it was amazing that she lived. I have pictures and testimony from other vets that it was not from them giving her a vaccine before the spay but that their heating pad did it. They didn't even refund the money for the spay. I wish I would have sought out a attorney. Do not take the chance on your dog, not with the savings! read more

Niki's is not following CDC guidelines. I went to take my cat to Niki's for shots. No one had a mask on nor were any CDC guidelines being followed for the prevention of Covid that were mandated by the Maricopa Board of Supervisors. There was no plexiglass or sanitizers to be found. Then a veterinarian technician came into a small room that was no bigger than 6' x 6' without a mask to look at my cat. She asked that I hold the cat while she stood close to me to examine her and weigh her. I told her I was not going to stand near her because she wasn't wearing a mask. I asked the receptionist why they weren't wearing masks and following the CDC guidelines and she said it's because the owner does not make them wear masks. I left without getting the shots. I suggest that if you don't care about getting Covid then this place is OK but if you don't want to get sick and want to protect your loved ones, I would stay away from Niki's Place. read more

Called to make an appointment for shots and they said we could just walk in. Drove 20 min away for them to say that it is by appointment only. When I told them I called and they said to just come in, the receptionist was snarky and said that I could just go to a higher priced vet, not even offering to set an appointment. SO VERY IMPRESSED AND HAPPY! Recently needed to get a dental cleaning for our dog and update vaccinations. Called multiple nearby veterinarians in Gilbert looking for dental estimates and kept getting the same vague answer about fees which always makes me uneasy. I was pleasantly surprised by Nikis Place. They were very upfront over the phone about their fees. Appointments were easy to make. I went in and they assessed my dog and gave me a written dental quote which was FAR below other estimates that I'd heard from other vets. The first visit for exam checkup and vaccines, and bloodwork was only $70. The second visit was for the actual cleaning. Drop off is quick and easy. When I came to pick up our dog later, they gave me a report of the surgery and they told me that some of my dogs teeth were loose and needed to be pulled, but they kind of fell out during the cleaning so they DIDNT EVEN CHARGE FOR IT! I was so impressed by that type of honesty and integrity. I will continue to bring my dogs here. Total bill for cleaning was only $200 (a vet who is a personal friend of mine said it could be $1500--HUGE difference) The staff are very friendly nice young ladies. (As a side note, this is not an animal hospital, it looks like they provide basic treatment, spay neuter, cleanings and vaccines, so have reasonable expectations. They are perfect for what most people need a vet to do!) DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT A MORE EXPENSIVE VET! read more

I took my dog to this morning and he has trouble seeing and barked at the doctor when she knocked on the door to come in. when he barks the girl freaked out and had us muzzle him. keep in mind he wasn't lunging at her just sitting there barking then laid down. she then left the room and came back and said they can't take him bc he's too aggressive for barking while other dogs in the back were barking. a year and a half ago they took our other dog that was adopted and scared of people and would snap and i had to go in the back to pick him up. so i asked her why they could take him and not my dog now and she got an attitude with me and went and got the doctor. the doctor came in and immediately pulled down her mask to show me she had a scar on her nose from putting her face in another dogs face a few months ago that was aggressive and proceeded to tell me they would have to pin him up against to wall to drug him and that have pinned dogs up against the wall before. She was very rude and bitchy toward me and everyone there had an unprofessional judge attitude. This place is not the place to go they do no treat the dogs nice, pin them against the wall and no one is nice there. read more

Just took a litter of 8 puppies here this morning, and I can't say enough nice things about the staff. From the time I called to make the appointment and up until we left everyone was super nice. I foster for the Rotten Rottie Rescue and I dropped off PapaRottie today to be fixed. I can't say enough good things about the staff. They knew when I got there he is a special case and they cleared the waiting room for us, and had me go right back with him and gave him a shot right away to calm down. I LOVE this place! I've had dogs and been to vets for the majority of my life and this was THE friendliest place I have ever been to, period. My 11 week old Labradoodle puppy was treated so nicely - from EVERYONE there, even the administrative staff (who have an open reception desk area) pet him and gave him attention - unheard of. He got excited over all the attractive friendly girls there (lol) and spotted a little - they did not bat an eye in cleaning up after him for me. Their genuinely warm demeanor only aided in his demeanor and behavior. They took him back for his nail trim ($10) and were back within a jiffy while he barely yelped and had no visible marks or blood from his trim. The vet gave him his shot ($20) after her sharing with me a wealth of info in aiding my decisions to neuter him or not (my first male dog) and about shots plus a myriad of other things. She did a thorough exam of him before the shot at no extra charge. Oh - and speaking of pricing, WOW - just wow. Their prices are cheaper than my last puppy I had over two decades ago! Tell me when you have heard that anywhere before. They have nice benches with cleats for leashes and the whole place was SUPER CLEAN and bright plus it smelled great - did not smell of pets or chemicals. Nice open area with two completely separate dog and cat entrances and staff. A very nice convenient location, easy to find in the Fresh 'N Easy center on the NE corner of Higley & Ray with ample close to the entrance parking. Tremendously affordable pricing - the total with nails and shot is less than my haircut/style. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. This is where Harvey and I will be going from now on. I have a 7-month old Wheaten Terrier puppy I wanted to have spayed. Had really exorbitant estimates from three veterinary clinics, including my own long-time vet. My friend told me about Niki's Place. I was extremely nervous about leaving my puppy at a place where I had never been and didn't know a lot about. I couldn't have been happier ! The place is VERY nice, VERY clean, the staff is friendly and caring, and they took excellent care of my puppy. I had my miniature poodle neutered at Niki's place and was treated so well. They are so compassionate and really helped my emotions and worry about my brand new puppy. It's hard to get a new baby and then send them under the knife! They calmed my fears and told me what to expect. I have heard amazing things from this place, and I have tried multiple times to give this place a chance, however today was the last straw for me. I booked my dog for a hernia repair and spay (they won't do the hernia without the spay, but whatever, I didn't mind having that done.) I took the day off, booked three weeks in advance, and made adjustments out of my day to get my dog in to get what she needs. The front office staff was wonderful. Very kind, informative, and professional. The vet tech treated my dog with respect and I could see she was comfortable being held by her. I was just starting to calm down and feel I made the right decision, until the vet walked in. Dr. Kelly Collins is rude, dismissive, and makes you feel like a horrible parent. My dog has an inguinal hernia, and she is twelve. It's gotten larger over time, but my regular vet has always suggested massage and watchful waiting as she has not been in pain and it has never bothered her. I did as my vet advised, and Dr. Collins, instead of considering the advice of a fellow veterinarian, decided to belittle this decision. She walked in, lazily took a look at my dog (who was trying to jump off the table; this should have been the point where I took her and ran. TRUST your baby's instincts!) and told me she would not treat her. No explanation as to why. With more questioning she stated only treat umbilical hernias on puppies. Okay...so when I scheduled and specifically stated my dog is TWELVE that was just overlooked? Overall, I left with my baby happy that that woman didn't touch her. I'd rather pay triple the amount at her regular vet knowing she is in trusted hands with someone who treats her right. PLEASE specify the ages you will treat, as well as what you will and will not do. It's just disappointing that I had to waste my time and put my dog through the stress just to be turned away. Frustrated. Dr. Collins, might I suggest a change in career if you hate your job so much. read more

We are all about affordable Animal Care and have finally found our new place here in Higley (Gilbert Arizona). Niki's Place is the best for price, service and location for us. They also offer other services like teeth cleaning and boarding etc. They have plenty of experice and treat our animals with care and compation. It is great to get excellent service but wow what a benifit of unbelievibly low prices makes it a home run in my book! read more

It's a great place to go, but the hours are VERY inconvenient. They could probably generate a lot more business if they were open other hours than just the normal daily hours people are at work. Great experience getting vaccines for my 2 dogs and 1 elderly cat. Kinda crazy during the hour they do the vaccines in the morning. But staff seemed to handle the cauous very well. Took the dogs one day and the cat the next. Saw 2 different vets and both were friendly and helpful. Please note that if you bring a cat in, they must be in a carrier even though the waiting areas are seperated. I had carried my elderly cat (17) in a towel and was told that I had to have a carrier for safety reasons. I asked if I had to leave and was told that normally the answer would be yes, but they did go in back and get a carrier for me to use. I greatly appreciated not having to return another time. Think this requirement needs to be noted on their website! I will be returning here in the future for spaying. read more

I brought my foster dog Harley in today for a dental. It was my first time going to Niki's Place as I had never heard of it before. The staff was very friendly and courteous as they helped me to check in and get my dog's blood work done. I spoke with the owner, Elliott before Harley's appointment as well as when I picked him up. She took the time to explain a little about the company and all of the services they provide. I was amazed at the prices and the quality of the work done on Harley. I wish I would have known about this place before as I have spent hundreds of dollars getting my other dog's teeth cleaned in the past. At least now I know and can bring my dog Rusty here next time. I first went to Niki's Place in January, took my 3 year old Pit bull to get neutered and let me tell you they did an AMAZING job! Was recommended to go here for my pugs vaccinations. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly nice and helpful. The assistants were very sweet to my baby and were informative. The vet however is a different story. If you go here please ask to not have Dr. Kelly Collins. If she's the only doctor DONT GO. Whenever I asked her a simple question, she would get combative and aggressively reply to go to a full service vet. I got the impression she did not like her job or the company she worked for the way she talked about the clinic. It seemed like she didn't want to be there and seemed agitated that she even had to work. (Girl, I don't want to work some days too but we don't have to be acting like this! So unprofessional!). I understand that my pugs mouth desperately needs to be cleaned. He is our family dog and I'm only 22 trying to pay $2,000 and survive normal life bills but that's a different story. I was sweet and trying to calm the doctor down but anything I said or did - I was basically walking on eggshells from how agitated she constantly got. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, maybe it was a bad day or something. However I can relate to a lot of the reviews that are rated badly because of her. This place is amazing, the whole vibes, the rest of the staff, but she left a really bad taste in my mouth. The front desk lady asked me to send my pugs medical records over so that they had something on file for him for next time. I'm not even sure there will be a next time because of how negative and unprofessional my first visit was with Dr. Kelly Collins. read more

I just picked up my Yorkies from Niki's place after getting their teeth cleaned. They are both older and had significant problems including infection, extreme periodontal disease, and needed multiple extractions. Dr. Bley was very thorough in the initial exam of both dogs. She explained the extent of the possible damage and gave low and high end estimates. She also explained the results of the blood work, and the possible complications for one of my dogs, whose kidney function was questionable for anesthesia. She was extremely kind and patient in answering all my questions. The assistant, Jocelyn was also very knowledgeable and sweet with my dogs. Considering all the risks involved, it only cost me $680 for both dogs combined! I was shocked that the procedures went so smoothly, and that both dogs cost me less than the estimate from another vet for just one dog. All the staff members (including the owner) were absolutely amazing! I can't imagine taking my dogs anywhere else! I will be brining my yellow labs here for their teeth cleanings/vaccinations as well. They truly have top notch service at extremely reasonable prices! read more

I have brought 3 pets there for surgery and they are always in a rush to push them out the door, whether they are awake or not. It seems to be more important that they get off on time than if the pets are safe. There is just no way that a dog that was spayed at 7-8 am should be on their way home at 11:30. The last of my pets that was there hd his dewclaws removed. They positively butchered his dewclaws and we are still dealing with the problems over 2 months later. When we approached the owner, she was very rude and we ended up going to our regular vet and paying hundreds of dollars to fix what Niki's Place had done. There are much better spay/neuter and vaccination clinics if you care about your pet read more
