So happy I was referred here!!! My vet was going to charge an arm and a leg for teeth cleaning and so I wanted to consider other options. Other places were going to make me come in for a consultation before booking a cleaning Niki's place did not make me come in for a separate visit which is amazing. They discussed pricing range and took blood morning of to make sure my pup was good for anesthesia. Everyone was so friendly and it was a super easy and quick drop of and pick up. Their system is spot on. My 11 1/2 year-old dog needed teeth, cleaning and six extractions. They took good care of her and got her home to me by 11:15 in the morning. My Vet quoted me from $1681 to almost $2300. Niki's Place charged me $605 complete with bloodwork and including extractions. I recently brought my cat, Nyx, in to Nikki's Place to be spayed and I have nothing but good things to say! We came in on the cat side which was perfect for my girl because she's super skittish and doesn't do well with dogs. The girls up front were very friendly and we were put into an exam room right away. A nurse came in and briefly examined Nyx and answered all my questions I had since I was nervous about her surgery. I got to meet Dr. Pete who was performing her surgery. He was very reassuring and gentle with my kitty during her exam. When I came back to pick her up after her spay, there was a bag with her name on it along with her paperwork which I thought was awesome. Her post-op care was explained to me very thoroughly and once again answered all the questions I had. I was very impressed with my experience and will definitely be returning! Can't recommend this place enough. My dog needed a dental cleaning and we had gone to his regular vet for a price estimate. The high end total was upwards of $3k with multiple extractions needed. I decided to shop around and am so glad I found Niki's Place recommended on a local Facebook group. I called and was able to schedule an appointment for the following week. Upon arrival to the clinic the office was clean, office staff were friendly and check in was a breeze. My husband had accidentally fed our dog breakfast that morning but they assured me it would be ok, and they scheduled his surgery to be the last one for the day. Third time having my dogs teeth cleaned. First two times very impressed. This time I was not. I was told to be there by 7am which I was. Found out my dog had not been started until 11:30. Told he'd be under about 40 min. He was done in 30 min. Which sounds great but they charged me 545 which made no sense to me. When I inquired as to the cost she became defensive about it. this is my opinion. That's how I felt. The vet tech who came in after the dr had told me it would be in the 400's so I just wanted to know why the charge was in the 500's. Moderate plaque, blood work, no extractions. Vet said my dog would benefit from the cleaning but was not serious. She seemed to be ticked off that I would ask about the cost and said here this so you know next time and she was kurt with me. All I wanted to know was the facts how they came up with that number. She said it's based on amount of plaque and time. Well it couldn't have been that bad if it was done in 30 minutes and I have a right to know. Is it arbitrary? Just tell me how you got to 545? It's not difficult to just tell me with a good attitude. She reduced it then from 545 to 495 which is what I had expected but she made me feel I was being berated by even asking. Not a good attitude and I'm not going back. I gave many referrals to this place. My dog had to wait over 4 hours to go into surgery and was rushed out by 1 oclock. He couldn't even walk out. I'm not impressed this time. read more

I was so hesitant to book an appointment at the Mesa spay and neuter clinic, due to the fact they take FOREVER to check you in and out! Luckily, I've heard so many great things about Niki's place and decided to book my Goldendoodle Macy's spay here! To my surprise, check in was a BREEZE!!!! Zero long lines when I showed up at the exact 6:30am check in time (I went on a Tuesday) ! At the pet clinic you would have to go before hand and there would be a line that wraps around the building. But at Niki's place it was pretty much in and out for the drop off and pick up. I would say once they open their doors at 6:30am we were instantly invited into a waiting room and was screened by the vet. All of which only took 30mins which is QUICK compared to any spay or neuter place I've been to which could take an hour to check in. I also love how they give you take home directions and ask if you needed any other services added on. They also ask if you have a time preference for pick up which is so thoughtful! SO once they called me later on to schedule my pick up time I was able to go when I needed and pick up my pup. Once I arrived to pick up my pup after her spay, I noticed how organized they were. They had already set out her pain medication baggie and take home e-collar! They also lined up the other dogs for that day as well! I was so impressed! It was so that people could easily grab their aftercare, pay and go home with their pets. They did such a great job handing off my pup, breaking down the cost and allowing me to ask questions about their aftercare sheet that I was able to take home. Honestly, they were also SO affordable! I priced it with the other spay and neuter clinic and they were around the same cost if not a little cheaper with better service and shorter wait time for checking in and out! I payed $140 for my goldendoodle female pup for her spay. She weighed 49lbs and that price came with her pain medication, directions and an e-collar! Couldn't be more happy! A little disappointed when I took my dog in a couple of weeks ago to have his teeth cleaned. The cleaning went fine but after some confusion and miscommunication was clarified. I have an senior dog and one of his blood levels was high. They called me to ask if I wanted to continue with the service and I said I did and would have my pet checked out by our own vet in a few weeks as they recommended. A couple of hours later they phoned and asked when I'd be picking up my dog and I thought he was ready after the cleaning. Nope...they hadn't started because they thought I said no to the cleaning. It was frustrating but we got is straightened out. The cleaning was fine and the vet was very nice. The biggest issue I had is the staff were not wearing masks. I didn't ask because you know, people can be belligerent about that in this day and age. All clients in the waiting area were wear wearing mask though. Not sure I'd take my pup back. It's a bit of a drive and the prices are better than my own vet for sure. read more

I have been a customer of Niki's Place for a long time. I have taken my dog there numerous times to get his teeth cleaned under anesthesia. His teeth came out beautifully and he recovered from the anesthesia very nicely. I started going to Niki's place only after I surveyed many veterinary practices for their fees. What I found was that Niki's Place offered a very affordable fee for regular teeth cleaning for my six pound dog. Price is very important to me because I live on Social Security. Recently, I decided to get my dogs teeth cleaned again. I had planned on having Niki's Place do it for me. They have all their prices on their website, and they raised the hell out of their prices, to the point where I could no longer afford to let them clean my dogs teeth. Something is wrong with this picture because prices have not gone up by that much, but their prices have gone up very substantially. I think it is a case of unbridled greed. No matter how much money they charge, they always wanna make more profit. Now I have to find somebody else to clean my dogs teeth, but that's OK. read more

My 6yo Chihuahua was here many years ago for for spaying and they were amazing awesome then. This appointment was for vaccinations. I had an early appt and was able to get in and out quickly with little wait time, which I greatly appreciate. I wasn't sure which shots were needed and they vet tech explained what was needed and why it was needed. The front desk gals are friendly and efficient. The exam room was so clean, you could probably eat off the floors. I give 3 stars because it's cheap, and usually there's never been an issue. This last time I went will now be the actual last time we go. My husband brought in our GSD to update her vaccinations. She's the sweetest baby, never had an issue with anyone. The vet assistant came in and instead of saying hello to our GSD or trying to l warm up to her, instead she went straight in for her mouth, which resulted in our dog moving back and letting out a growl. She then insisted we strap a muzzle to our GSDs mouth and said that "it's a German Shepard thing"? What's that supposed to mean? For any dog, being at the vet can be scary, so for someone who's supposed to know how to approach a dog they've never met - that was ridiculous and unprofessional. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. My sister and I decided to take our 3 dachshund's there to get their teeth cleaned instead of going to our normal vet because they were cheaper. BIG MISTAKE!!! If you love your pet and want the best care for them DO NOT GO HERE. Two of my dachshunds have back injuries and have been paralyzed before, so when the vet tech came into the room I asked her if everyone there knew how to pick up a dachshund correctly to prevent further injury to their backs. I guess that offended her because she became so rude and snarky and said "ma'am we are trained and we know what we are doing. You're more than welcome to go somewhere else if you want". Wow! I should have walked out right then and there. Then the Vet (if you can call her that) came in and we were explaining how our other dog is a handful and is terrified and he should be sedated before giving him the IV. We called the day before to explain how he can be aggressive when he gets scared and that we would muzzle him before coming in. They told us not to worry, they would take care of him. Apparently that's not true either! The Vet said if he needs all that special care, then we should go somewhere else because they don't have the "time, the medication to sedate him, or the space" because they would have to put him in a bottom kennel. Really??? Giving him sedation and putting him in a bottom kennel is too much trouble and too time consuming? Then what kind of care are they giving the animals there if using a bottom kennel and a little sedation to calm him is too much trouble? The vet was extremely rude. We took our 3 dogs and left. I guess you get what you pay for. So if you want your pet to get loving, personalized care by professionals, then DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE! They are obviously trying to rush through as many pets as they can and do not have time for loving, compassionate care. When we got there, one of my dogs was refusing to walk through the door and was pulling back as hard as she could because she did NOT want to go in. She has never done that before, and we've been to a lot of veterinary clinics. I should have taken her cue because she was right! This is by far the worst, most unprofessional, rudest business I've ever been to. I've never left a review before, so the fact that I'm taking the time to write this one speaks volumes! Niki's Place came highly recommended from a friend. We took our 1 year old Golden Retriever there to get neutered and chipped. The whole process from booking to pick up was very easy and professional. Surgery went great and he is recovering comfortably at home!! The only thing I would like to note is his paws were covered in feces and when I got home I spent about 10 minutes cleaning them with soapy water since he can't have a bath for two weeks. I'm sure he was scared and had to go after surgery, they may not have noticed. But something for staff to pay attention to in the future. Overall great experience though! read more

I took my dog to get neutered here a few weeks ago. Not only are they efficient and super helpful, the cost is so reasonable. What I got quoted from the regular vet was 3x more than what I paid. These surgeries are their core competencies so they are very good at it. They are also very responsive on getting back to you with any questions. Best time to get ahold of them is early morning. They do not answer the phone or call back messages. I've called every day for weeks and they never called back. It's always risking taking my pets here and only do it for financial reasons. They cut my cat during shaving and tried saying I brought him in like that. And released my kitten after a neuter and on the way home he was bleeding out. I have been searching for a fair priced veterinary office for over a year. Niki's place was one of the only places that had fair pricing. I was very nervous taking my dog in to get some teeth removed. When I walked in the energy I got from this veterinarian office, made all my nerves go away. The staff and doctor were beyond friendly and put my stress at ease. My dog came back perfect. They sent me home with a happy and clean dog, decorated medication bag, and a overall great experience.
