I was manipulated into buying a warranty that I did not want. The salesman, who I won't name, started his long spiel on the warranty that I was not interested in purchasing. After the unsolicited speech, I asked if it came automatically with the purchase. He said "yeah". Then proceeded to charge me the warranty (Which I didn't find out until I was already in my car looking at the receipt). He also asked for my phone number for the transaction. I said I didn't have one and don't want to put one. He then asked if I knew someone who would put their phone number in. I said no. I also asked If I needed to put a phone number to make a purchase. He said "yes". After I said I would not give him a phone number, we continued the transaction (which means the answer is no). After everything was done he gave me a pamphlet and told me to text a phone number for my receipt. Look, anytime I give this company my information it spams me with promotions that will never matter to me and clutters my messages and email inbox. I DON'T WANT TO GIVE THEM MY INFORMATION. I understand that it is within the company's interests to collect as much data from every transaction, but I also believe I have the right to shop without having to give any of my information to anyone. I don't like to put employees on blast for doing their jobs but this instance has made me decide that I'm never shopping at this corporate establishment (all locations) ever again.
