Been to nightmare on Clark st this place is nice the decorations are very cute and scary lol. Wasn't really scared they didn't have a lot of actors wish they did . They gave us drinks with our tickets and cups as well. Food and drinks here was good. Dj was a good vibe! Staff was very friendly gave us shots on the house because of how lit was ,but far as security they suck! While trying to enter back in the bar to get food they pulled me and my cousin from our group we came in with being rude then ask for our ID like when you enter with your ticket they ask for your ID. That didn't make any sense! The security here always sucked need to learn how to talk to people!

Came here on a Thursday at 5pm and we were the only ones in the house which I loved since it's more adventurous that way. They only had two people that scared us. My favorite part was the black out at the end where you cannot see a thing. Overall good entertainment a bit steep. I wish it were longer. But my friend said it was just right. Wish they had more actors to scare you.

Deuces does it again. Known for it's seasonal pop-ups. Nightmare on Clark doesn't disappoint. Sportsbar fully decorated in scary memorabilia from our childhood's worst nightmares. This was opening night of the attached haunted house. We came for the haunted house but didn't end up going in. It was advertised as $10 bucks on Timeout Chicago, when we got there it was $20. So buy ticket in advance and maybe score a cheaper ticket. I wasn't thrilled about the markup. So petty to not go in, but I was over it. Maybe next time. Decor is solid 5 stars. Food options 5 stars. Music is so good here. Crowd is so-so, some drunks a$$ on Molly started to come in after 11pm. Customers service was not as engaging as usual but I think it was because opening night of haunted house, trying to figure out that ebb & flow. Drinks. I got the taffytini and it was too sweet. I wanted more Effen Apple and it was overdone with the carmel liquor. Prices on drinks are kinda unknown. They sell small, med and large with no prices so be prepared for this if you are economical. Check this out and closer to Halloween, come in costume. Definitely could be a fun night.

Bar midway. Look around at all the details here!

I went into nightmare on Clark Street with almost no expectations after reading some reviews, and hearing about others experiences, but my group and I had a really great time overall! I will say that going at 8 PM on a Thursday night might affect some of this review, but overall I was really impressed that we did not have to wait at all to get in to the haunted house. We did have a few drinks prior to going in and I will say that their themed Halloween drinks were fun, but very sweet overall, so if that's not your thing, I would opt for something different. If you enjoy props, animatronics, fun sets, and overall ambience when it comes to a haunted house, then I think you'll really love nightmare on Clark Street. The amount of time, money, and dedication it took to turn the space into what it was is actually incredible. Every single corner, ceiling, tile, and walkway is adorned with some kind of prop or wall decals that make it feel so immersive. Make sure you take time to look up, and around so you can take everything in. We did also enjoy that there was a bar in the middle of the haunted house. It was a nice break and stopping point. My only complaint is that this whole experience could've been elevated by 1000% if there were more scare actors. I think we counted a total of three throughout the entire haunted house, and with how sprawling and lengthy overall it is to walk through this (we were there for about an hour but I'd you don't stop at the bar maybe like 15 min walkthrough), there could have easily been way more people. Again, we did go on a weekday, so not sure if they are just more staffed on weekends, but really, this was a great experience overall and I truly hope they add more scare actors and we would definitely be interested in coming back to check it out!

3.5 We destined here on a very busy weekend before Halloween. My gal pals are Halloween enthusiast me not so much so I was walking around looking like a boss. But the ladies was given. We need to be given all cute and spooky. Deuces as well decorated and many of the staffs are in costumes as well as the patrons. As I understand the upstairs is a haunted house which we did not do basically we were on a bar crawl and this is the second stop of the night. Initially we had a picnic table seats table which we did not like and we're requested to go over to more towards the bar area or it was more intimate and like that better. It was very nicely decorated and near the bar and pretty good customer service. I believe the server was relatively new. He had to keep looking down for the menu to confirm things but it was fine. My order I did the $5 holler dorito nachos my girlfriend and I split the chicken wing basket and Italian beef fries. I definitely do not recommend the Italian beef fries. That were my least favorite, but the dorito nachos was a hit as well as the chicken wings and jerk flavor and our drink. We went with just a single serve beverages and I believe I had an apple martini . It is a timed entry event. We had a blast and commanded all the attention . Fun times

I came here with my friends on a Thursday around 8 PM and it was so fun! Granted, I'm absolutely terrified of haunted houses/anything horror, so the haunted house experience was torture for me, but my friends that enjoy horror LOVED it! After the first part of the haunted tour, we walked into a bar area where we had their signature whiskey cocktail. It was so so good, and there were even actors dressed in costumes walking around, scaring people, taking pictures, etc. Overall, it was a fun experience. I would recommend for a fun activity/date night!

Really glad I tried it. I tried stopping by one day when they'd been opened fewer than two hours I…read morethink but was out of luck; they were sold out. So I came by one Sunday before opening and was surprised that there were only about five people ahead of me in line shortly before they opened. They threw the doors wide open precisely at noon. Asa, the proprietor, clearly has a passion for the work she does. She's a bit of a cross between a poet and a pastry chef--check out the descriptions she writes of her pies if you don't believe me! Each slice is unlike any pie I've ever tasted. She had a pie with fig, and that was the closest to a conventional pie she had (if you can call it that--as I said, I find it hard to describe her offerings). All were creamy, decadent, and unique in the true sense of the word. Her crusts were amazing. Also unique is the way she runs her business. She is based out of a little counter in the Poke San that's on the corner of Wells & Huron. The hours she keeps are minimal. And it's a total of two people--her father, who takes payment, and her. Her passion comes out in the care that she takes with each slice: She bakes the pies, of course, but then she adorns them upon ordering. You will wait several minutes once you've ordered your slice, and if you are in line you will be waiting for a while depending upon your place (being 5th or 6th in line, I was finished about 15-20 minutes after the shop opened). It's clear she sees this as artistic expression, and honestly that is plain to see in how she finishes each slice: A brûlée'd top on this one (caramelized whilst you watch), decorating that one with local--real--flowers. It's an experience and if you like to try new things, or just taste something that is fairly unlike other local offerings, you should consider giving it a try before she moves on to new ventures.

The slice of pie was incredible and this is my new favorite dessert spot. It is quite pricey ($14…read morefor a singular slice), but a more special occasion type of pastry treat. Got the second one which is creamy cinnamon flavor with a brûléed top. There's some poured rice and cinnamon crème fraiche on the top. It wasn't overly sweet (huge compliment), and the crust was very flaky. How it works: -you can order at the window and there's little menus that are handwritten with the four pie options -the base pie is already done, and she will finish and add the decorations and toppings after you order Packaging is beautiful and very high end. Service was very fast (no one in line on a Sunday afternoon). Definitely will be back!

Before checking in for our reservation, there were a few photo opportunities outside. Once we checked in at the hostess stand, we were seated immediately at a table. The server explained the concept of the bar and left us be to read the menu. Santa Baby Bar is a multi level restaurant with bars and photo opportunities. If you're at a table, you get a 90 minute time limit. You can explore and order drinks & food, but the table is yours for that time period. Food and drinks come out when they're ready. The inside & outside of this place was decked out in holiday decorations! My family and I decided to order a bunch of food to share. Everything ended up being so good too! The giant (emphasis on giant) holiday pretzel is a must order! It came with 3 dipping sauces: cinnamon toffee sauce, queso, and cranberry mustard. My favorite was the toffee one. The Santa's Sampler was another great appetizer to order because it had a little bit of everything: mozzarella sticks, fried mac 'n' cheese, chicken fingers, chicken wings, mini corn dogs, and sweet potato fries. My husband and I ended up also splitting some dessert - Santa's Sundae. This was vanilla soft serve ice cream with a ton of candy in it and it even came out with a giant sparkler. While we waited to digest in between courses, my husband and I walked around to the different floors to see all the decorations and photo ops. The place was crowded, but did not feel overwhelming. Although the place was buzzing, I could not hear other conversations when we were back at our table area. Service was A+ too. The server was a pro taking care of us and all her other tables. She was also extremely nice. Santa Baby is only around for the holiday season and turns into a normal bar in the off season (Stolen Saddle). The service and food were so good that I definitely would recommend it anytime during the year.

For an event pop up, I thought maybe they would play some wicked music (even remixed) but it sort of felt like it was an afterthought. Even the "decorated" side of the bar was empty and not being served at that bar. I walked over to take pictures of that side but I wasn't sure I was supposed to lol. When we got there, we had to ask about the happy hour because it wasn't mentioned. When we got the okay, we ordered drinks and pizza. Only after I got back to my hotel did I noticed that the pizza rang in full price. The drinks were creative and fun but I wasn't sure ready to leave after a few loud minutes.
