Menus and water were served promptly and the food was brought to our table piping hot. Even the fries, the failure point for most restaurants were hit and crisp. The pizzas, described as Chicago Style, were a thin crust pie. (Somebody needs to visit Chicago-Town for a primer). But, both pies disappeared. A fajita bowl and burrito bowl both vanished. My Greek gyro was overstuffed with lamb and fillings. Absolutely fantastic. And the spicy chicken fingers also vanished. Zero leftovers on ole servings. The food was that good. And service was attentive and water was consistently refilled. Just one caveat, for larger groups, Nighthawk Tavern adds a gratuity to the check. They're very transparent, as the tip is clearly shown. I still added a few bucks to the total. If you're in Dahlonega. you'll be more than happy with Nighthawk Tavern. We stopped in at the Nighthawk Tavern the evening before a town festival. It was busy but we were seated immediately. We chose to sit outside. Service was quick and we ordered guacamole and Da Chicago pizza. We both really enjoyed the pizza. The crust was crispy and the peppers brought a perfect amount of heat. We had dinner and drinks at Nighthawk Tavern and absolutely loved it. The staff was amazing--friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. We sat at the bar and ended up meeting some really wonderful people, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The food was fantastic. unassuming little place in downtown dahlonega - we had no expectations coming in, as we were starving and wanted to grab some food on our drive up a cabin. we ordered the hot honey pizza, which came out almost immediately. If you've been to Dahlonega you know how busy everything can be. We were happily surprised when we arrived around 2pm and were able to sit a party of 8 right away. The server was kind and helpful even though it was clear she was busy she never made us feel like our questions were a waste of her time. The food was very good, typical bar bites so nothing that stands out at a winner taste wise but after a long day of hiking in the wet weather it was a perfect diversion before we headed home. read more

What a most amazing experience it was eating at Nighthawk Cafe, Dahlonega. Me and my party at five had a most amazing time of it at lunch there last weekend. Every sandwich was over the top incredible and the salads were amazing too! All members of myparty give it an A+ plus! The staff were super courteous, especially to our disabled member of the party, who had to have accommodation for his wheelchair. We went looking for a place that had Greek Pizza, because we have had it numerous times. The reviews for this place looked good.This one had very little if no meat and was burnt. Food is great. Like others say you will probably have to wait to get the food but worth it. I had the steak tacos, which were delicious. I tried my son's spicy chicken fingers and fries which were very good. Fries had a yummy Seasoning but could have cooked a tad longer. My husband got a burger. Well the service was a bit odd..took a while to get noticed and then helped by about 3 different people...cold ipa on draft but ran out and switched to another. We came around 6:30 and were seated right away. The restaurant has a cool vibe with a bar and a large window facing the square, definitely a great place to people watch. We ordered the Wednesday wing deal which is 8 wings, celery, fries and a drink for $12, great deal! The wings tasted great and my waitress Peyton was super sweet and accommodating and let my freind get multiple different flavors on their wings. Sorry, but we stopped in on Sunday, October 13, 2024 around 2:30 and sat at the bar. The restaurant was very busy, but we sat there for over ten minutes and no one behind the bar even acknowledged us! They could have given us a menu and told us they would be with us soon, but we received no service at all! We got tired of waiting and walked out and down the street to Spirit's Tavern, where they seated us immediately, even though they were very busy too! Glad to see a restaurant in the square with a good variety of food. Staff is friendly and attentive. My party was immediately greeted and we chose to sit at the bar. My boyfriend and I ate here for dinner. We ordered the coconut shrimp and BBQ pizza. Our shrimp was brought out and we bit into it and it was raw. Still cold and completely raw. Our server brought us a new plate of the shrimp which were also raw. Although we did not have to pay for the raw shrimp we did not have a manager speak with us, or any other form of apology.
