The salon is nice and clean. The people working there seem very friendly. However, after two visits, I am disappointed. On my latest visit the tech Used acrylic powder for basecoat of dip manicure. Two days later nails are popping off. The shape of my nails are weird and also did nothing to clean underneath nails. The nail tag also did not create a smooth surface before applying the shellac topcoat so the nails are lumpy and bumpy. Normally I would go back to the same place and just have the problem fixed. However, I'm so dissatisfied with what I have now I am not going to have them do the same quality of work again. read more

Came for mani/pedis with my mom, I asked for the #2 pedi and was told it's for children and pressured to upgrade to the $45 pedicure??? - Tech wasn't paying attention while scrubbing my feet and made me bleed (picture), told me it wasn't bleeding and stuck my foot back in the water. - finally, tried to pressure me into gel instead of regular polish and spent the whole service time for the manicure lecturing me about how my manicure won't last. I had made an appointment on Monday to get my nails done on Thursday(my sister was treating me for my birthday). I wanted a certain tech to do my nails and was told he was busy later in the afternoon so the lady on the phone said to come in at 11. Show up on Thursday at 11, then am told oh no the guy I asked for is out of town!? Since I'm already there I went ahead and get my nails done by another guy.. I am happy with how they turned out. I typically use HD NAIL in Webster but decided to come to Nico's since I live close. Ms. Ann did my pedi and can't say much. Very blasé. No clue on cutting cuticles and lifeless stone massage. No point paying for anything other than the basic spa pedicure although I purchased a pricier option. Nice place and nice chairs but very average pedi. Also, the technician eating pistachios at the nail counter and making sucking sounds was pretty annoying. I will stick to HD Nail in Webster. ‍ read more

I usually don't go to this place for my pedicure but this place looked like a really nice spa from the outside. I got Ann. She went through all the motions but barely buffing, barely pushed the cuticles back and no trimming of cuticles. I've never had a pedicure that lasted 30 mins from start to finish, and I paid for an extra 10 mins of massage. After she painted my toes she started putting the top coat on and got distracted with another tech. She missed 2 toes. She got all indignant when I told her about it. Absolutely worst service. No one knows how to do a clean coffin nail shape. My nails were hideous and didn't have time to fix them as they took 2 hrs to do them and had to keep switching out the tech because she didn't know how to do them herself as well as adding chrome to them. I was treated very disrespectfully. The young Caucasian girl that works the counter has no customer etiquette experience and certainly no care attitude about how you feel. If you see the picture I selected a color changing polish. However what they advertise is not what I got you can see the color never did change from the time I had it on. They charged me $15 to get it off. I told her that I thought this wasnt right and I asked to speak to the manager and she said she could not reach the manager. I asked her several times about speaking to the manager she never offeredto call him kept making excuses and she avoided me. I will never step foot in this place. So it's false advertisement even if it's a color changing when you see the color you select that's what you want. Instead it was more like a lilac and I mention to the girl before that I wanted gray.
