Plus this was a full meal, with all home cooked food. Unfortunately this is a tiny place with counter space for maybe 10 and I'm guessing 4 or 5 small tables. Not for a group! They also do not take credit cards so bring your cash! So nice to have these little diners still around. We sat at the bar and quickly waited on by Darrel who is bartender and owner. There was a specials list for the weekend, New York strip; ribs and prime rib. We weren't quite as hungry to justify a steak or rib; thus we went with a side salad and chicken steak/w side salad. The salad was decent size and the chicken was covering over 1/2 the plate. My wife had just a salad. The chicken was tender and seasoned well. The sauce is a secret sauce of the bar! Drinks were good and priced well. While we were there I seen an order of ribs by a patron; they did look really good and by what I could tell he liked them but he couldn't eat them all. A patron sitting next to us ordered the prime rib; its smoked prime rib and flash finished over the grill that doesn't affect the finished doneness. It was huge at about 1" thick and done perfectly inside to the patrons delight. It's $40 but probably won't finish it all. Definitely when in the area will stop back.

I ordered what I came for, a cheeseburger. I watched them make it on the grill. They started out with a handful of fresh ground beef. Then they smashed it nearly paper thin. The patty was thin and big around. They put slices onions and seasonings on it. When they flipped it over, the onions were grilled into the burger. They also pit a slice of cheese and the top of the bun on.. when it was finished the put it on the bottom half of the bun with the condiments. This burger was very good. What put the burger over the top was the fresh baked bun they used. I was told their buns are brought in fresh daily from a Bakery in Two Rivers. This will be on my best burger list.
