They advised us on the removal of a very large Black Birch tree on our property that was developing a very deep pit at its base that was holding water. There was a fear of it falling on the house or cars. Additionally, they trimmed and pruned three very overgrown Honey Locusts and shaped and pruned our wonderful Red Maple. Lastly, they shaped a Mulberry tree and removed a Pine that had grown inside the Mulberry. It was a very big job. Sven and Jake were pleasant, amenable, and professional. They cleaned the spaces as much as possoble. I strongly endorse Tree Lion Tree Services!

We first contacted Tree Lion through Yelp after a tree fell and affected multiple neighboring…read moreproperties. Initially, they indicated they could come out on Saturday, July 4, but the estimate was ultimately confirmed for Sunday, July 5, between 11:00 am & 12:00 p.m. I was coordinating the appointment on behalf of a loved one. Because the property owner doesn't live at the affected house, they traveled from another part of the city and rearranged their schedule specifically to meet the estimator. We also learned that the neighboring property we initially believed the tree had fallen from is vacant, making it even more important to determine responsibility and move the process forward. Unfortunately, no one arrived for the scheduled appointment, and there was no phone call, text, or Yelp message to let us know they were running late or needed to reschedule. We understand that delays and emergencies happen, but a simple courtesy message would have been appreciated. The lack of communication wasted people's time and delayed addressing a situation affecting multiple properties. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend a company that confirms an appointment and then fails to show up or communicate with the customer.

A guy came out and gave me an estimate. He was supposed to call the next day to schedule the removal. He never called, even after I called him again to prod him. I finally checked Yelp and found Santos with his good reviews. He came out quickly, gave a fair estimate, said he could do it the next day. He arrived a little late with his truck and small crew but went right to work and did the whole job in just 3 hours. I had expected a lot of chainsaw noise but they did a lot of cutting with handsaws, using the power tools mostly to cut up and grind the wood. Very impressive work and a great personality. Friendly and straightforward and very professional.

We got 3 estimates on the removal of a mammoth tree that was banging on our house for two days…read more OMG! I thought I would have a heart attack and was terrified that the tree would cause structural damage. This was also 2 days before a monumental snow storm was on the way on January 22, 2016. One company needed to remove fences, time to schedule and other scary things for a home owner to digest with a tree from hell killing our house on top of the cost. The other service said that the tree was mammoth and required the highest level of skill and precision to remove the tree safely without damaging our house or putting workers at risk. We were referred to COLONIAL in SOUTHAMPTON, PA who assessed the situation several times before assuring us that they had the skill and the crane to remove the tree safely without fence removals and possible damage to our home. They also understood the urgency of the job with the tree causing more damage to our home with a major storm on the horizon. THEY DID A SPECTACULAR JOB! We are so pleased. The crew was friendly, they helped us "push" our car out of the way that wouldn't start, they cleaned up every single limb, twig and branch that fell on and around our property. and they charged us a far price for the job. Just be aware that tree removal of this nature is NOT CHEAP. What's important is that you do your homework and choose a company based on skill and service and not the cheapest price. I hope that others read this review and give them their business. I will use them again without wasting time on estimates. They were worth every dollar. JOB WELL DONE, GUYS!
