    Salad with house dressing
    Abby R.

This is a very classic throw back establishment. There were a lot of these in the 90s and I'm sure earlier. It was a classic place to grab a basic hamburger steak, gravy, and potato. They have complimentary bread, butter, and crackers when you are seated, sometimes you just gotta ask. Most of the people here are older and continue to come here because that is what everyone used to done before there were chain restaurants everywhere. Classic simple spaghetti with salad, fried half chicken, simple baked potato, huge fries as a side... just simple things. I am sure if someone had never enjoyed this food when they were younger... they would not like it. However I've grown up knowing what almost every item on this menu tastes like and enjoy it. We went with a group of 7. Everyone enjoyed their food. Hamburger steak with onions, gravy, and mashed potatoes. Hamburger steak with cheese and fries. Kids shrimp with fries. Salad with a delmonico steak and green beans. Spaghetti with chicken parmesan.

We really enjoyed it. Not high on the list but perfectly acceptable. A fatty piece of steak, though very tasty. Good s'getti.

The outside was deceiving. No one but us at first, but the server was very kind and welcoming. The food was good and reasonably priced.

We waited about 40 min for a table and we all got comfy for what ended up a loooong night. I wish I caught the name of our server but it was very loud, louder than usual. She was very sweet and friendly, but kept forgetting us. We put our full order in at once thinking to save time. Not really. It took us about 40 min to get our drinks...and the order was wrong. Our starters came shortly after and we had barely finished when our mains came out. Now, I can fully appreciate it was a busy kitchen, but there were some boo boos. To start, I ordered a Southern Revival. It comes in a whiskey glass. The thing is, I saw several of these being served and they were all full serves where mine was about halfway. If I'm paying $12 for a drink..give a full pour right? The wings that my brother in law ordered were the wrong ones. He asked for the mild buffalo and got super hot. Poor guy has Parkinson's so it was a rough go for him. We were all so hungry though that we just kept our food/drink. I ordered the YROC salad and wow. What a fantastic salad. Spinach, walnuts, apples, cranberry, and red onion with a raspberry vinaigrette. YUM! My sister got the cheese curds and from the way she devoured them I'm thinking they were pretty tasty. We all ordered a range of dishes as mains. I got the Mahi tacos (since the Huli chicken wasn't on the menu), mom got the captains special, her friend got the Trifecta, sis got the bang bang shrimp tacos and b-i-l got a burger. With the exception of the burger it was an amazing meal. We were so very full by the time we left we could barely walk to the car. We took a few moments to admire the view before heading home. This is a very casual, come as you are place for a good meal. Not sure about conversation if you eat inside, bring a sweater for eating out. If you don't like crowds but dig the vibe try lunch. Parking can be a challenge especially when they are really busy. There is a run off lot but it's a bit of a hike. Still...so worth spending a Saturday night with good food and great ambiance. Just wish we had a more attentive server.

Situated right under the York River bridge, not far from the Yorktown museum, is the cutest village. I'm sorry, they can't claim it as part of the original Yorktown but it is cute. There is a lovely river walk...hence the name of the restaurant. They have some of the BEST views in the area being right there. We had reservations however it being the busiest day for restaurants, we had to chill our heels for a few moments before being taken back. I was more than ok with this as we ended up getting a window seat (see above for reference). Thank heavens they put the name of the server in the receipt cuz y'all know my Swiss cheese brain. Cara was the wonderful server who took care of us. She was always there ready for me to get my mum good & spoiled. Super friendly and very helpful. The buffet, it was impressive for a buffet and while not a big buffet, it was specialized. First up were 3 different kinds of salads, then a fruit platter, and bagels & cream cheese. They had a raw bar with shrimp & oysters next, then breakfast stuff (eggs, potatoes bacon etc) mac & cheese, garlic mashed taters & then a carving station with turkey, ham & lamb. Finally a small but respectful dessert table. If you couldn't find something to fill you, you weren't looking. The single sour note of the buffet was the salmon and Mac & cheese. I'll know better next time. Overall the River Walk has come back with perfect timing and style. I highly recommend a visit. Parking is a pain but patience will help

When I found out they were having a set menu for Vday I called the week of and we were able to switch our reservations to Friday February 13th. I downloaded the InKiND app as well and they gave me a $50 off discount if you spend minimum $150. The open table app did have a $20 per person fee for reservations and that will be applied to the final bill. Our reservations were at 4pm and we arrived early and the parking area is ample with a parking garage and some street parking. We started walking to the restaurant at about 355pm. This time of the year seems to slower with ot being cold. Once inside we were greeted by the young ladies up front. We were offered a table or booth and we chose a table. We did sit at a table with the view of the water which was nice. Jason our server came over within seconds to pour us water and take our drink orders. We both wanted sweet tea with lemon. Since we knew ahead of time what we were ordering, we gave our appetizers orderes first. We ordered the soup of the day which was the she crab soup. It is highly recommended. We only ordered a cup and not a bowl because we were unsure of how it tasted. The Caesar salad had no anchovie flavor like we are use to and was just medicore. We ordered the meatballs which had lamb and pork in it. They were juicy, tender and just needed a little more seasoning. The Calamari was fried to perfection for me and could've used a pinch of salt. The sweet tea was everything and I would recommend it. For the main entrees, we chose the shrimp and scallop risotto and the beef braised Ragau. There were two scallops and four grilled shrimp and few asparagus with some chopped up bacon. This dish I highly recommend as well. The beef was tender, seasoned and pasta was cooked perfect. Overall, this is a nice and quiet place to dine at anytime. I would recommend and will definitely return again. Jason was on point with his promptness.

The bar area, even though i didn't try looked decent. As for service. Sorry can't remember the servers name. So when I do come back in this area i would absolutely consider visiting again. I hope you give it a try.

We only waited about 15 minutes. But the view of the water made the wait enjoyable. The atmosphere was appropriate for a casual place. Lots of dark wood, a bar, booths and, I assume, faux copper ceiling tiles. We were seated in a high table near the window with a view of York River. Our server was great! She helped me make a choice of beer. The double IPA was citrusy which I like. I was torn between the fish tacos, a loaded baked potato with "famous" chili, or grilled crab sandwich. She said beyond a doubt get the tacos. She was so right! I love fish tacos. The Booming Tacos, an off-the-menu item, was over the top. I mean there was so much rockfish it was over the top of the grilled flour tortilla. The moist blackened fish pieces laid atop spring mix and drizzled with a creamy spicy boom boom sauce. My husband had the Rachel, a turkey sandwich on rye with Russian dressing and coleslaw, it came with french fries that seemed to have a bit of a coating that made them very crunchy. Everything was great. If ever back in the area, this will be the place to eat.

Their clam chowder was salty. And other than the fried seafood, it wasn't worth the cost. Need to remind ourselves this is tourist trap with bumped up prices for quickly made (and not properly seasoned) food. Major disappointment and a waste of $30 for a sandwich, fries and a cup of chili
