Like the other reviewers, this is a no-frills barber shop. It's actually pretty gross on the inside with electrical outlets hanging out of the wall, a busted apart baseboard heater... it's just an old, worn out place. A good cleaning, a fresh coat of paint and some other repairs would make a big difference to the aesthetics of this place. As far as the haircut. It's $14 and, apparently, you get what you pay for. I asked for a "light trim" and explained it had only been three weeks since my last cut. He removed at least two inches of hair leaving me with hair so short that any shorter and it would be a flattop. I can barely part it. It's only hair, and it'll grow back... I get that. I came here because my normal person was not available and I needed a cut ASAP. Next time I will fork over a little more and stick with a salon.

They take walk-in's but I recommend getting an appointment, especially if you like a particular stylist. Charlie has been doing my hair for over a year now and I've never looked or felt better. She really knows what she's doing. She always remembers me and how I like to wear my hair (and all the particular things to, length, what to do with cowlicks etc). You can call for an appointment or set it up online now - very convenient! When you walk in to Style of Man, you are greeted by a friendly receptionist. If you are early, you can relax with a beer and watch some TV in their comfortable lounge area. When it's your time, you'll get a relaxing wash then it's off to your stylist. Standard service is $35 and includes wash, hair cut and style, straight razor neck shave, and a short neck massage. Don't let the $35 price tag throw you off. It's a great haircut and really worth it. Also, in between cuts you can just pop in a get a FREE CLEANUP. Great service and really makes my hair cut last. The neck shave is great too. A lot of places just do the electric razor on the neck, but after a few hours it's hairy again. The neck shave buys me at least a few extra days. All in all, great place for a hair cut. They do an awesome job, lot's of perks, and the free clean ups really put this place over the top.

I work in the city and had some solid haircuts there but the service was lackluster and at $55 quite the rip off. Then there was Earl. Great haircut. Took his time to make it perfect and a just the right amount of interesting conversation. All for under $20. My hair is the stiff and coarse Asian hair that barbers find challenging because every mistake shows. Earl was more than up to the challenge. How good was the hair cut? So good, I bright my 2 year old to get his haircut. I was worried because he usually goes to the kids salon with the cars as barber chairs and TVs. Earl Connected right away. I put a tablet in my kids hand and he just smiled through it. It seemed to me like he knew he was about to get a serious haircut with a nice hard part and all. We walked out with what my wife said was "his best haircut yet." I uploaded some pictures for you to see. The guy at the front desk (name unknown) asked Andrew who said he was behind. He tried to pass me off to another Barber. My reply was, "ok but I am not happy about it". Said guy got very belligerent with me. His attitude is this is a barber shop... things happen. In the end he cancelled my appointment, followed me outside, cussed at me about not liking my attitude. It was the most unprofessional behavior I have seen in a long time. His last comment was, "you don't like it asshole call the owner". I previously had an issue in Phoenixville but not nearly as bad.
