You want a great haircut go to Sal's. I have been going to the Plymouth Meeting Shop since 2015 and…read moreI wouldn't go anywhere else. Where else would the owner open the shop up extra early for you because you were getting married that day. There are people complaining about the prices going up and the booking fees. It's called inflation and you can bypass the booking fee by calling the shop directly. I could go to hair cuttery if I am worried about the cost but the cut wouldn't be the same. Over the last five years Sal and his barbers have become more like friends, nay, more like family. So if you are looking for a great, and I don't throw that around a lot, haircut and shape up of beard, then there is only one place I recommend wholeheartedly. Do go see the Barbers at one of Sal's many shops. Thank you guys, especially Jay in Plymouth Meeting Shop, for always making sure I look great when I leave.

I got my hair cut by Jared on a Monday. During my haircut, Jack was cutting his customer and they…read morewere chatting about the plumbing problems Jack had been having since the night before. On Tuesday I called Jack's to try to make appointments for my three sons, who have been getting haircuts from Kenny for about a year. Nobody answered, so I left a message on the answering machine and laid out our availability for the next three days (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) because when I was in the store on Monday Kenny mentioned that other than Saturday his schedule was open for that week. After leaving the message on Tuesday I heard nothing on Wednesday or Thursday, so on Friday I picked my boys up from school and drove to Jack's hoping we could get lucky with walk-ins. We walked in and sat down. Jack and Jared were there. Jared was cutting the hair of a young boy -- probably eight or nine tops. Jack was looking at his phone -- NOT talking on it. We sat there for 20 minutes and nobody said a word to us. Jack and Jared had spoken to each other about Kenny's whereabouts, and it sounded like Kenny had walked to Get-Go, but neither bothered to acknowledge our existence. So after another couple minutes I asked Jack if we were wasting our time waiting on Kenny. His response was terse and inappropriate, saying that he had no idea what Kenny's schedule was (NOTE: Jack is the owner...) and looking through Kenny's appointment book, mumbling about how we are not listed as having appointments. I explained to Jack that we were walk-ins because I left a message on Tuesday asking for a call back to make three appointments but never received a call back. Jack actually got pissed off at me for expecting a call back. He said that he doesn't check the voice messages and that I should've used the Booksy app to schedule. I calmly explained how the app charged my ex-wife for three appointments that she attempted to cancel immediately after scheduling them and realizing she was scheduling the wrong week. It cost her around (or over) $100. I mentioned that I didn't want to use the app because it requires a credit card number and all it takes is one unforeseen event and the customer gets screwed -- especially a customer with three kids. Jack accused me of "bitching" about the app every time I come in and then used his plumbing problems as an excuse for not checking the messages at his place of business. (Note: Go on Yelp and you will read about several other excuses Jack has used on customers for ignoring them...) Jack was inappropriate, unprofessional, unappreciative, and indignant -- and he lost four customers. Rather, Jared lost one and Kenny lost three customers. Hopefully Jared and Kenny will help Jack to manage his anger issues, or maybe they will move to the barbershop next door so my kids and I can continue to get our hair cut by two guys we truly liked. Jack blew it.
