I called this company to help install 3 chandeliers and switched out over 50 old lights for the Led ones. Nick came 2 times to finish the job. He did a great job installing the chandeliers . He's not an artistic guy, just putting lights up. I said that cuz he hung my chandelier really high so I made him redo it . Here is my big problem with this company : He's not "Honest". First time , he told me the led lights cost him $30 each plus $10 installation. I let him do like 30 lights. He ran out of the lights. So he had to come back for the second time to finish the job. I ended up finding the led lights at Costco for about $20 for 2 lights. I was very upset and confronted him about the ripped off and the lack of integrity. He swore his lights were purchased by his dad on eBay for $30 each. I ended up buying all the lights at Costco and had Nick finish the job at $10 installation per light for the remaining lights. He only did the job because he was already at my house (40min) away otherwise, he would not have come. Nick was very upset that he only got to charge $10 per light ... then he tried to increase the price of the dimmers saying its different from the dimmers he installed a week ago and this one is $10 more ect.. he basically tried to nickle and dime me for whatever he can... then he left quite upset and hung up on me over the phone because I called him out on being a liar and dishonest. read more

Nick electric Slam Dunk I had solar put in a year ago. Never worked. Solar company would not come out to even look at it. I called Nick with in 2days he sent 2 of his guys out no charge and within 15 mins. They found the solar company did not put a converter box int. I can't say enough about Nick's honesty and integrity. I had a previous company out who wanted to charge me $6000 to rewire my entire house after using his X-Ray eyes to diagnose the problem. Nick came in spent an hour diagnoaing the problem for free which did end up rewiring the house in the end. He gave me the price upfront to fix it, he along with his assistant went to work. They ended up finding a hot wire that had been stripped of it's insulation during the original build of the home in 2009. That finally shorted causing two appliance failures which almost caught on fire while I was actually there when it happened. He replaced and updated all breakers in the panel and showed me with a thermal imaging gun the havoc in my breaker panel because of the short. I'm doing a major remodel in my home and my contractor hired Nick's Electric to do all of the electrical work. Nathan and Randy worked so hard for 4 days straight to get the job done. I have an old 1955 house so they ran all new wiring in the kitchen, added recessed lights all over the house, including the living and family rooms, hallway and the master closets. They installed a bathroom fan, pendant lights, ceiling fan, a new panel to handle all of the new electrical, added a lot of new electrical outlets and worked with my interior designer on the sconce repositioning. Nathan and Randy were very professional and accommodating. Nathan even helped me carry things into the house. Total scammers and don't know what they are doing. Had them come out to look at my house's electrical problems. Nick's brother(forgot his name) couldn't even find the problem with a electrical on/off switch. (solution propose: rewire the line) Couldn't figure the problem with a bulb connect.(solution propose: rewire) Both rewires were quoted at $1000. Couldn't figure out that the problem with our electrical panel was due to line problem with Edison.(Solution propose: tune up our panel or replace). I was so stupid to take the tune up option. Took him a solid 5-10 minutes. Charge me $250. Call Rick's electric(Journeyman). Issue with on/off switch....solved by tightening the wire connects. Issue with bulb connect...solved by buying a $2 connector. Panel issue....solved by telling me to call Edison to check. Edison replaced the whole line....cost to me $Zero$. Total bill for spending coming out twice and doing 2 hours of work $100. read more

I have changed my rating based on Nick's need to make things right with me. Nick reached out to me after my initial review and expressed his concerns on why I was not satisfied. He really did go above and beyond and made things right. I would say, there was a miscommunication. But he did come back out and made things right and to my satisfaction. He definitely knows what he is doing and is very efficient at it. He is always very quick to respond to you. I contacted Nick to have 2 ceiling lights installed. He was very good at following up before the appointment and was able to schedule me on a Saturday. Nick and Michael arrived and was able to get the job done quickly and efficiently - within 45 minutes! I will say that the price quote was a tad on the pricier end as I was told there was custom work to be done for one of the lights, but I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for - and Nick did the job skillfully, professionally, and efficiently. I have to start off by saying that this review does not have anything to do with the quality of work by Nick's Electric. It has to do with poor customer service from Nick. I called Nick after reading the positive reviews but it's unfortunate I didn't get to see any work completed. I called Nick on a Saturday to request an in-home estimate. He informed me that he would be calling me on Monday and would be sending out 2 of his workers to my place. He asked if I would be willing to let his workers begin work the same day. I told him I was open to that. I took Monday off from work for this reason. Nick did not bother to call nor send any employees out. What a total waste of my time.
