Camp Snoopy... I mean Nickelodeon universe is a great place to spend the day. Anyone old enough remembers the park opening as Camp Snoopy but I get why they had to rebrand to keep everything relevant. Yes, I know it's been Nickelodeon for a while but it certainly takes you back when you take a ride on the log flume or swings which haven't changed a bit from an experience stand point. I suggest getting there early and running your day with an unlimited wristband for the best value. While the rides have changed over the years, here are some key things that stood out to me. There is a new mystery mine ride (remember that?) except now it's not included and is extra. Well I didn't go on it, the reviews aren't so great on top of it being extra. While you will find your favorite classics such as the log flume and Pepsi coaster there is more to be discovered. For example the SpongeBob coaster is excellent and won't disappoint. Since the park is in door you will definitely have the opportunity to go on every ride if you like if you have your day planned here. Now no one likes waiting in line but there were just too many things out of service for a busy Saturday. Multiple rides had maintenance issues resulting in less people being able to ride at a time leading to even longer lines. The Pepsi ripsaw was also completely closed which was a major bummer. Just observing most ride operations throughout the day there is no doubt that better training would lead to faster line times. An example of this the swing ride in which a rider would not put their phone away despite being asked 3 times. The ride operator then stopped the ride, took the phone away once the ride was stopped then had to recheck every swing to make sure it was latched and then resumed the ride for the short time left. Why the person with the phone was allowed to continue to ride doesn't make any sense and just slowed everything down. To close the park has done a good job to stay relevant with the times but needs to up its game on training and ride maintenance especially when you're dropping cash on multiple unlimited wristbands you want to ride as much as possible. read more

Nickelodeon Universe - Multiple chairs broken bringing down the total riders to only 9 per cycle resulting in long and slow line. - Amusement Parks Near Me - Bloomington, Minnesota

See all

Went early on a Sunday. Lots of good rides, but they are understaffed so the ride operator is also checking tickets and doing safety checks. They need at least two employees per ride. The lines were long, but if you can stand it it's a pretty decent indoor amusement park for midwinter minnesota. If you're using a military discount you have to get your passes in person versus online. read more

I've lived in MN all of my life and have never been to this place before a few weeks ago. I took my almost 3 year old son for a day of fun and we had a blast! I took him on Tuesday which is toddler Tuesday so rides are cheaper I would suggest that if you can swing it. It wasn't that crowded we got there at 10am. Also, my son is just 36in so we could go on a ton of ride. I was worried there might not be enough for him to do but there were definitely enough rides. Lots to do and see for kids, great thing to have in MN during the winter makes you feel like your outside or at valley fair. More rides and things to do than I thought. You can buy ride packs as you go, they are a little spendy but they have deals so look for those read more

3.5 - 4 stars - a fun place (albeit expensive - $31 for a day pass) to take our 9 year old daughter who loved the log flume (still decorated from back when it was Knott's Berry Farm Camp Snoopy) and the Orange Rollercoaster (so gentle even I could go on it!). Very clean and short lines - so that's cool. Great for younger kids - but not thrill seekers - everything is rather tame (but I like it that way - I am a wimp!) read more

I dont care that's it Nickelodeon or Camp Snoopy or whatever cartoon world people fancy. I'm only rating the rides! (That's what were there for, right?!) Theyre so-so.....not extreme and none to scary. Great for kids! My favorite is the lumber ride, the rest are enjoyable but extremely short. Great place to let loose and act like a kid for a few hours. ENJOY! read more

Awesome amusement park within the Mall of America. My hubby is from MN and he said there only used to be one "mild" kid rollercoaster, but now there are about 7 or 8 "grownup", scary coasters and thrill rides here! We went on the Fairly Odd Coaster - my hubby wasn't scared but I was shrieking like a banshee the entire time! I did not even open my eyes. It was very twisty and turny, and the car that we were in was doing swivel type rotations very fast the entire time - yikes. Don't even ask me about the blue Spongebob coaster - that was absolutely terrifying with huge steep drops - I did NOT go on that! My husband decided to do the zipline, which was great and only $10.99 - great deal! However, we had to wait over 50 minutes in line to just get harnessed up - for a 30 second zip line ride. Not so fun. I would so go back here next time we visit family friends in MN! read more

Really like the after 5pm rate; especially since you never know how distracted the kids are going to get with something else. The boys (13 and 10) had a blast on all the rides. read more

Bad crowd management, and highly inefficient. I have been there on non-peak days, and it was just fine. Asides from some rides always closed, at least lines were not bad. This time I decided to go on Tuesday of winter break, even though it was more expensive, because the school was off. I started, the previous night, by checking their website for hours. Their website mentioned all holidays off days and hours, and according to that they open at noon on Tuesday. So we arrive at 11:40 am, because there is usually less rush in the first 2 hours of opening. Guess what, the park was open since 10 am. So we start off at a bad time, and get there in peak time. Now time comes to RIDE. almost 1/3rd of the rides were closed and all remaining rides had very long lines. We started with the rides which can take more people per round, thinking it will move faster, but we were surprised at the speed we were moving. When we arrived at most of the rides, we found out that they were not being efficient at all. So many seats would go empty. Each round takes way too long to start. I mean they had a couple people managing for bigger rides, but either they are busy talking, or they are just being super slow. From when we enter the line, and to when we are done, every ride took about an hour, and it gets very difficult to wait with little kids. I have been to Universal, and Disney during the winter break. They get thousands of people everyday, They are not only fast in preparing and starting rides, but they don't let a single seat go empty. I can understand if it takes too long, just because you have more people, but there are ways to manage the crowd, and this park definitely doesn't care to do so. After spending about 7 hours at the park, we still didn't get to do 3 rides. Kids were tired and we had to leave. It was disappointing, to not only pay more, but to have the worst experience ever. read more

I don't usually write reviews but I want to WARN everyone to please be careful. All the cash was stolen from my bag when I left it near the ride. I also had two portable chargers that were stolen as well. If I can't take my bag with me on the ride then it gets stolen!!!! read more

It is such a great amusement park for everyone even the littles. I personally enjoyed the fairly oof coaster

My daughter absolutely loves this place! Even though you can buy "tickets", they print out like a wristband that no one helps you put on and makes them easy to loose. There are a ton of rides for all ages and I really appreciate that they have a lot for the younger ones too! We ended up spending half the day here! read more

We have been here several times and there are multiple kiosks, instead of allowing mobile orders and just picking up bands to control attendance, They are forcing everyone into a line that twists 6 times so that you have to wait over 30min to allow everyone to purchase individually. Complete waste of time and unnecessary waste of time and intentional crowds. We got here at 10:45am and are still in line at 11:15am waiting on people to pay and get bands. If you have mobile capability why would you go back to old school ways if you are trying to promote social distancing. We only had 2 hours to spend here and you just wasted 45min of our time waiting in your useless line waiting on every family to figure out what they want, how to pay etc. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT OF WHAT COULD BE AN EASY AND STREAMLINED ONLINE CHECK IN PROCESS. Purchase bands online, show your pass, get band for rides, avoid a 200 person crowd! Easy? Here is the best part they then make you wait in another line for 1 employee to put the band on every person? They also are now charging you $5 to watch your kids ride? They need a sting lesson here in what is social distancing and minimal contact as they just forced a huge amount of contact to enter. read more

I like me some rides, my kids like rides, so this place is a fun option on occasion. Its expensive (imho) so its a treat. The rides from a big-kid perspective are decent, and actually pretty good when you consider the limitations of an indoor park. The little kid rides are okay (though that big rig ride is totally lame). When they became Nickelodeon Universe there was updating, and new rides have been added which really improved the quality of both little and big kid options. I enjoy going myself, and I enjoy seeing the smiles on my kid's faces when I take them. read more

Five Stars!!!! the Best indoor amusement park I've Ever been to! They have sooo many fun Rides for All ages!!! My Family and I love the park! They have great service and fun rides. We never had an incident at the park. And we Always end up leaving and wanting to come back for more!!!! Definitely Recommend coming if in town!!!! read more

This place exceeded my expectations. There were so many entrances that there was no line to get in like a regular amusement park. There were, however, lines to get on the rides. We went on a Sunday. I would recommend going during the week when there are less people shopping. The brain surge was by far the best ride. The Ferris wheel gave a beautiful view of the whole park. We didn't have time to do any of the coasters because we stood in like for about 20-30 minutes waiting for the rides we did get on. Overall wonderful experience. read more

What a horrible experience at the Nicks Choice Awards event at the American Dream mall. The organizers at the event were rude, disorganized and unaccommodating. There weren't enough goodie bags. There were limited character experiences. When asking a manager for help they told us that they only sell tickets and can't help with anything happening down on the floor with customers. The woman on the character meet and greet wouldn't allow us to get on line even though we were standing there before she closed the line. We had a disability pass and still couldn't meet the character. She was rude and said only 33 families could meet them. The event had hundreds of guests and only one opportunity for guests to meet these particular set of characters? No exceptions. The amount of money spent for tickets is absurd for what you are getting. The customer service was appalling and the experience for my son was such a disappointment. I had a sobbing child at an event he waited weeks to attend. We NEVER had any experience like this at Disney World. We'll never be back and I would discourage all families from subjecting their children to such disappointing experiences. read more

Always a fun time for the kids. Very crowded on a weekend and could be hectic for parents, so plan appropriately.

This place was epic! My child loved it too. I was really amazed that a amusement park could be placed right in the midst of a mall. The lines moved swiftly. Lots of children of course. The purchase for "all day riding" was a reasonable $37.00 and some change. I would do it again. I only watched my child have a great time but I may go back again for my own pleasure. read more

We visited Nickelodeon Universe with our 2 year old during a family trip to Minneapolis. It was a decent sized indoor theme park, though many rides were unfortunately closed due to covid. The admission price was very cheap compared to most other theme parks (not sure if price is always like this or if it's due to most rides being closed) and you get to ride unlimited rides for 2 hours. My husband did not ride so he paid $5 to just be inside and watch our stroller. Parents of freshly turned 2 year olds who don't quite understand the concept of face masks yet, rejoice: unlike Disney World and other theme parks, Nickelodeon Universe understands that a 23 month old does not magically learn how to wear a face covering once they turn 24 months old, since they still think like a baby, thus they do not require masks for toddlers that young. There were a few rides my 2 year old really enjoyed, and social distancing was enforced (we even got to ride some rides all by ourselves because of how slow it was). The workers sanitized each ride with a spray in between riders. I am subtracting one star because most of the ride workers were kind of rude and clearly appear to not enjoy their jobs. It was a stark contrast to other theme parks we've visited in the past where employees are very friendly. Many times I would talk to them and they would look directly at me and not respond. Not sure why...overall though the rides were fun and enjoyable for my 2 year old. This is a fun stop if you're shopping around the Mall of America and want something fun for your kids to do. Be aware that there is a capacity limit (I think it was around 150 people allowed in the park at a time?) so be sure to take that into account if planning your trip during covid times. read more

All the rides are fun, but it is drastically understaffed so the lines are insanely slow. The surfboard ride has one attendant and many of the seats are out of order. Don't come unless you have time to waste. read more

Worst money spent $260 for tickets for three, opened at 10 closed at 3pm was only able to get in 3 rides, what a joke. You're better off going to a park and COVID protocols forget it, yeah they have sanitizer but that defeats the purpose when you cram 100,s of people into what is a park the size of a large food court. I never leave reviews but if I can help one person avoid this s$&t hole I think I've done enough lol read more

I remember going a few times back when it was Snoopy's Camp theme park at Mall of America. Enjoying the rides back then and I have to say I still enjoy them to this day. In March 2012 they opened up a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ride called Shell Shock which got me to visit the Mall for the first time in over 10 years. That weekend I took the time to ride most of the rides in the park. We shared as much of we can from our visit on the Cowabunga Corner website. Including reviews for each ride I went on. I had a blast and even with a fear of heights went on their tallest rides. The rides, themes, layout, and workers have all been great. I look forward to my next visit to this fun theme park! read more

Was more fun than shopping. Rides range for all ages with some old classics like the log ride and a new Nickelodeon theme different than I remember in the 90s. Food options nearby could be better, but after all, you are still in the mall. Can take train from downtown or airport. read more

I'm writing about our most recent visit to Nickelodeon Universe in the Mall of America. This trip was our 4th over the years and the absolute worst! My kids were on spring break and we decided to take them plus 2 friends. When I was planning the trip I called to find out about the restrictions and prices yada, yada, yada. The very nice woman I spoke to informed me that their covid restrictions were that you could only by tickets for 2 hours at a specific time of day and only two hours, that you couldn't buy 2 hours more than once a day. I told her that wasn't worth it to us because we were driving 5 1/2 hours to get there. She then informed me that because of the 2 hour time slots and the reduced amount of people there was virtually no wait for rides. The kids could just run from ride to ride no problems. I thought, okay we were also staying at the water park down the street and this still could be fun. If they ride their favorite rides over and over without having to wait in lines they would have fun. Short lived fun, but still fun. They did reduce the price to $24 a person so it cost us $125. because I like the rides to. Also, when I purchased the tickets on line the website stated that I could redeem my tickets from one of many kiosks with in the park. LIE LIE LIE after LIE! So horribly, terribly, worst disappointment! We get there and go through the checkpoint and are instructed to the area to redeem our tickets and we find out all the kiosks are closed. You have to stand in line to redeem your tickets regardless if you prepaid or not. Now, your 2 hours do not begin until you ride your first ride, so okay not that big of a deal, but still this was the beginning. They LIED about the lines. My kids got to ride 5 rides in a 2 hour span. HORRIBLE! You had to wait a minimum of 20 minutes for the popular rides. 20 min per ride adds up fast! The people running the rides where also rude and seemed like they hated their jobs. I don't know if they were understaffed or the mall chose to have a skeleton crew or not. The whole experience was terrible and we will never go back. If I would have not been LIED to about the line waiting we would not have gone! A total waist of $125 dollars! They lie people, it isn't worth it don't go! read more

LOVE coming to Nickelodeon Universe! It's always so much fun! If you get the unlimited wristband, you can ride all the rides. I don't go on the rides very often, but I'll go once in awhile. When I do, it's always fun! Tickets are a bit expensive, so if you or kids do plan to ride more rides maybe getting a wristband is a good option for you. read more

We are from Mn so we usually go on the non peak days. Today was crowded but the lines went very fast and people were courteous . The park was very clean. Our only complaint was the NICK character (not sure the name but he was bald ninja ish) who was roaming around, he scared the kids . Not just ours but other children too. Good job MOA!! read more

Fun spot to take the kiddos, rides for older teens and adults too that are pretty fun. Love that it's indoor because it sure helps with wanting to stay most of the day. read more

I have two children ages 6 and 12. It can be hard to find activities that they both will enjoy, but this indoor amusement park is one of them. We live close enough that we can go several times a year and I would highly recommend getting an annual pass if possible for anyone who will go more than three times a year - it really pays for itself. We usually go after 5:00 on a weeknight when the girls don't have school the next day. This is cheaper ($20 wristband) and the lines are a lot smaller. The girls can go on rides over and over again without waiting 20 minutes each time. There are a lot of rides that both girls enjoy including a couple of roller coasters. My oldest also enjoys the ropes climbing area right next to Nickelodeon Universe. I would highly recommend this attraction to anyone who is going to visit the Mall of America for a couple of days. It is a great way to let the kids have fun while the grown ups are shopping, though I would never let the kids just run on their own. read more

Unfriendly atmosphere. They won't even preview your ride photos unless you buy. Scam. Edit, two great ride attendees made me a believer again . Kids had a blast! read more

Wow! Our daughters (2 and 5) had a total blast at their first theme park - Nickelodeon Universe. Over 7 acres of indoor, air-conditioned fun with dozens of attractions and sights that kept them entertained for hours. $35.99 a head during the day for unlimited rides and admission is a deal considering there's tons for everyone and it's not insanely packed like Six Flags or even most local carnivals. Adults ride free with smaller kids (depends on their height if they are allowed to ride alone), security is tight but friendly and everything you need for an awesome day of fun is located on the first floor of Mall of America! read more

The kids had a blast and that's what matters. None of the food places are open due to Covid which is okay but should be noted. Only drinks are in vending machines. Around half of the rides are down. But I have little kids so they enjoyed it. It was nice to go today as there were literally no lines. We went about 11:15 on a Thursday. Everyone is following safety protocols and the staff were wiping off rides after every ride. We would go again but will be waiting until all the rides are open to return. read more

With proper planning, Nickelodeon Universe can be a great deal. My kids don't like scary, big rides, so they are happy to go on "Toddler Tuesday". The great thing about Toddler Tuesday is there's no age limit (despite the name) and parents can ride free as chaperones. It's $12.95 for a 5 hour wrist band which is more than enough time. It includes all the typical "kid" rides and even the Ferris wheel. There weren't any rides my kids couldn't go on that they wanted to go on...but if your kids like big roller coasters and the like they might not be satisfied. Toddler Tuesday is also a great deal because many restaurants have a free kid meal with adult entree that day. So after we do the wristbands all afternoon we go out for a meal where the kids eat free! How good of a deal is Nickelodeon Universe otherwise? Probably pretty decent if your kid likes to ride a lot of rides. All I know is the toddler Tuesday promotion makes for an amazing, inexpensive day for my family. read more

Fun! Three of us spent a couple of hours riding some rides and enjoying the space. Not too expensive and clearly adults and children alike were enjoying the rides. read more

Waking through here I remember thinking that the rides looked cute but wouldn't be that great, and boy was I wrong. Got an all day pass and went on nearly every ride at least once, and there are many good ones! The water mountain and spongebob, fairly odd parents... had to stop when I almost barfed after 20+ rides of getting my money's worth. When friends visit me from out of state I will bring them here if they like amusement parks. read more

I'm sorry that we attempted our first try at the park over Presidents' Day weekend. Have been here for 2 hours and only got to one ride as the lines were so long and rides kept breaking down. The walk ways were crowded and a majority of the staff looked extremely depressed to have to work there. Overall would not recommend. read more

Do not go with shopping bags or a purse. Roller coaster itself was fine. But when you get to the coaster the staff literally grabs your bags from you and sets them on the platform in a totally open/unsecured area while you ride. There was no advance notice of this anywhere nor did staff tell us about this set-up until after they'd taken our tickets. You'd think they'd have secure lockers available. read more

Considering how much I seriously can't stand malls, this is one of our favorite places to take the kids. If you buy the unlimited wristband online, which saves you about $5, you can ride all day for about $26! Not bad considering an adult rides free with the child! You can't even take a kid to Chuckie Cheese these days for that price, and this is WAY cooler! If you go during the day there are hardly any lines & most of the time the workers won't even make you get off the ride if you decide to go again. The only downside to going during the day is that not all of the rides are open at all times. They are on a rotating schedule so you have to figure out which ones are open when, and then take advantage :) read more

Toddler Tuesday's so fun for my littles 3 year old and 11 month old. $13.99 for 5 hour unlimited junior ride pass...

Never again! Bought wristbands ahead of time had a horrible time with that even with a receipt, my son and I got grabbed by a ride attendant and yelled at by him for not having our wristband secure. This all happened within ten minutes if being there. We walked out. Tons of money lost but not worth the issues we had. read more

Always a great place to take kids during break! If you want shorter lines and more riding time, go during Monday-Thursday. Food/water inside is actually more expensive than vendors who are outside the amusement park. Ordering your ticket online will save you an extra 10, instead of buying it there! Rides available are mainly for little to middle school kids. Although they do have some rides for adults if you're still looking for ways to have fun! Get the unlimited wristband. Trust me you won't regret it. read more
