The item was pricey for the size of the Gyro, but what isn't pricey these days. The gyro was soggy and they must have put 2 or 3 fries inside cuz it was non-existent and I kept looking for it with each bite. I also ordered a side order of fries and it was also soggy and cold. Like it had been sitting there for a while. Didn't taste like fries and I would never order again for sure! Would I come back? No, I doubt it! Absolutely unacceptable customer service. I was placing a DoorDash order and called Nick the Greek in San Leandro because I needed to add items that DoorDash didn't give me the option to add. Someone answered, told me to hold, and then apparently forgot I existed. I sat there for 5-6 minutes listening to everything happening in the restaurant in the background. Nobody came back. I finally hung up and tried calling again -- probably 15-20 times -- only to find that they apparently hadn't even properly disconnected the original call. The line just stayed engaged. So not only did they leave a customer sitting on hold indefinitely, they effectively made their phone unreachable afterward. I couldn't add what I wanted and had to submit my order as-is through DoorDash. I eventually spoke with Jennifer, who told me she was the shift leader. Her response was basically an apology. While I appreciate an apology, this wasn't some complicated problem -- answering the phone, returning to a customer you've placed on hold, and making sure your phone line remains accessible are absolute basics of running a restaurant. What bothered me most was the complete lack of attention or urgency. If this is how customers are handled before they even receive their food, it says a lot about the level of service being provided. I don't recommend this location based on my experience. Management needs to seriously address its customer service and phone procedures. Being busy is understandable. Forgetting a customer on hold and then leaving your phone inaccessible is not. read more

Garlic fries had minimal flavor and fries were thin and soft and dry. Garlic was almost nonexistent on the garlic fries. There was no notice that dine-in was closed, and it didn't feel that late to already be shutting down seating. We ended up having to take the food to go when we specifically came to eat inside.
