First time visiting. Young man at the counter was very helpful. Nice clean restaurant. My items were made fresh. Quick service. Food was tasty.

    Grand opening! May 12, 2026!

Arriving at the grand opening of Fairfield's new Nick the Greek, I was definitely not disappointed! They did an amazing job advertising the event and getting the word out to the community. Even though the parking lot and restaurant were packed, there was still plenty of parking available. Yes, the line was long -- but honestly, free food made it absolutely worth the wait! The process was simple and organized: walk in, choose your meal, and enjoy. The owner/manager and another staff member were especially attentive and helpful, answering everyone's questions with patience and enthusiasm. When people in line asked how it worked, they clearly explained that each customer could choose one free meal, which made everything smooth and stress-free. The portions were generous, and you can tell they truly came prepared for the crowd. It was really impressive to see them giving out so much free food while still keeping great attitudes and excellent customer service throughout the rush. The ambiance inside is modern and welcoming, with plenty of seating, and every staff member I interacted with was friendly. Overall, this was a fantastic grand opening experience, and I'll definitely be coming back to support this location in the future!

SAVE THE DATE: MAY 12, 2026!!! Nick The Greek's GRAND OPENING! From 11 am to 2:30 PM lunch is on Nick. Yes, that means FREE! I had such a great experience at Nick the Greek! The staff was so attentive and welcoming from the moment my son and I walked in. The restaurant is very spacious with plenty of indoor seating, plus a few outdoor seats if you prefer to dine outside; esp on those nice warm days. Our food came out really fast, and everything was packed with flavor!! The portions are a great sharing size, too! Or you can be selfish and have it for yourself lol If you haven't been to a Nick The Greek, just know that they offer a lot options including salads, wraps, rice plates, bowls, and desserts, so there's a little something for everyone. My absolute faves from here are the Chicken Gyro Pita wrap and the Beef/Lamb Gyro Plate with Rice. The Beef/Lamb Gyro Plate was so satisfying to eat. The protein was tender and seasoned so well. I honestly enjoy eating that with just the pita bread (which btw my son absolutely loves now!)! The Pita Wrap is fun to eat because there's such a mix of flavors and textures, your tastebuds will be dancing for sure! And it's not a visit to Nick The Greek without ordering a size of their Falafel!! So good! It was a good size and not hard. Very easy to bite into and easily enjoyable with or without sauce. For dessert, I had to try a Froyo with Dubai Chocolate. It was the best mix! Their Froyo is so different from your typical froyo. It has this tanginess that'll make you go "whoa" and want you to keep eating it lol That and the mix of the sweetness from the chocolate was a great balance and dessert to end the meal. Overall, I'm so glad Nick The Greek is in Fairfield! It gives us more food options around the area. P.s. Don't miss out on the grand opening!!!

Full of mushroom makes me puke

I love Mediterranean food and i've ordered from this food chain many times.. For a change I wanted to try their Veggie Pita, I always order either Chicken, beef or steak pita or bowl.. 1. Staff were friendly 2. Was watching how they prepared orders and they were working as a real team, packaging was perfect 3. Taste, great except for the Veggie Pita which I ordered for the first time.. The Wrap was in great look, amazing presentation but taste wise? I never liked it.. Fries was good though.. The Pita had a lot of mushroom and unfortunately, made me puke. Mushrooms were fine but if you overload it, taste was unmanageable.. I ended up just tossing it.. Next time, I'd order what I always order, trying something new doesn't always work perfectly..

It was my first time trying this place out and the manager was very helping explaining all the choices and above par customer service. Will definitely be back for 2nds! I've been missing out. Similar to SweetGreen but better.

Been here two days in a row! Friendly guys, so helpful to answer questions and patient with me being so indecisive! Clean eating area; indoor or outdoor. Perfect for small or larger groups. Meals are also shareable! Love the fresh food. And tasty protein options. I look forward to trying everything on the menu! Shout out to Samir! Great service!!!

I love that we now have a Nick The Greek locally! I got the gyro bowl with beef/lamb. The bowls are pretty huge and enough to feed two to be honest. All of the ingredients are super fresh and flavorful and they definitely aren't skimpy with the sauce, I love that. Ordering online is easy and gives you so many options to customize your bowl (they literally let you check off every single ingredient, if you want it or not). Super convenient, I see my self ordering from here a lot in the future.

Gonna have to add this one to the Fairfield food rotation…read more So I finally tried Big H a couple of days ago. Many people have recommended this place and now I understand why. Me and the wifey ate here for lunch and I was surprised at how quiet the place was for half the tables being taken. I could definitely see people coming here to study or work like a typical cafe. On top of that, the people working here are super friendly and professional. Big H is a sandwich spot with a hint of Greek flair. You'll find your usual Turkey, Roast Beef, Salami, Pastrami etc sandwiches. But you'll also see stuff like Pita's, hummus and falafel as well. This particular day I ordered the Chicken Shawarma wrap while my wife ordered the Reuben. Both were super tasty. If there was a tiny gripe I would say I would of liked to see just a tiny more amount of tomatoes in my wrap to balance out the flavors a little better but the wrap itself was still amazing. I liked the earthy spices that came from each bite of chicken. Speaking of chicken, let's talk a little bit more about the portions. If there was a common them between both of are meals, it would probably be the fact that both were very meat heavy. So if you like your sandwiches to be more meat heavy, you are definitely in the right place. Lastly the sandwich and wrap were huge. I definitely gotta give Big H kudos for the fact that they pack their meals to the brim. Everyone always complains that everything in California is just too expensive. Big H however is the first place in awhile that feels affordable. So while I had my tiny gripe about the balance of ingredients on my wrap, the professionalism, cleanliness, noise volume, flavors and most of all price all make my nit- pick a non issue. I can't wait to come back and try more sammies!

I ended up going with the chicken shawarma and my husband had the meatball sandwich. The chicken shawarma wrap was absolutely delicious! The chicken was perfectly cooked and very flavorful. There has a hearty amount of chicken. There was also a tasty creamy sauce, lettuce, and tomatoes, which balanced the bold flavors of the chicken very well. The wrap was also very large. This wrap was a 10 for me! So much so, that I wanted to reroute my drive back just to go back to eat there again. My husband mentioned he enjoyed his meatball sandwich. The bread had a nice crunch on the outside, but soft on the inside. The sauce was tasty with a slight pepper kick. There was also a lot of cheese on it. Overall, this place is a hidden gem. I love finding small businesses that offer great food and this place definitely hit the spot. I would definitely return if I am in the area and highly recommend it.

The service was great, we ordered non-alcoholic drinks as we perused the menus. We ordered French fries as an appetizer to munch on while we waited for our lunch order. Athenian Grill is one of those places that you file away in your head and think that, if ever in…read morethe area again, you might stop in and have a meal. Its somewhat unique location is also something that makes it memorable. It's next to a cozy marina next to a small slough that works its way up like a finger from the delta once inside the Carquinez Strait and, while reasonably close to Fairfield, feels very detached and different from it. I'm reviewing Athenian Grill and keeping its rating the same ... at 4 stars. Some people who write reviews are not keen on updates whereby the rating remains the same. However, I feel that the passage of over a dozen years is a good enough reason to write an updated review! Athenian Grill's menu is predominantly Greek in its theme and the variety of Greek staples that you look for will be there. I chose the chicken souvlaki platter. It was very good, but what they do is put together a large chicken skewer that is accompanied by one with roasted vegetables. I sure could have eaten another chicken skewer, but the vegetable one was fairly good. My friend who was having this late lunch with me had a falafel platter and also said that it was good. We ordered soft drinks and they were refilled as needed. The service was very good. The pricing matches the context, meaning we're not in one of the Springfields, but in Suisun City ... but then not in San Francisco, either! The way the restaurant is finished is tasteful, owing to its understated nautical decor. We chose to eat inside, but it is also possible to eat outside and be closer to the edge of the small marina. Parking is available in a decent sized free lot in front of the restaurant and it appears to be shared with other merchants. I thus got to revisit Athenian Grill - over a dozen years later - and it was having to split the distance between the Bay Area and "Sactomato" that brought this about. I'd like to think that I have a good memory for directions and things spatial, but I did have to look at the map to find its nook-like location in tiny Suisun City. That said, help yourself to the map and go enjoy both the Greek grub at Athenian Grill and the pleasant little marina that it's next to.

With the student discount and a drink our total came out to about $30, which I think is a pretty good deal. I have to agree with a lot of the comments here in saying that the falafel is really good. The falafel was nice and moist, not dry at all and that perfect balance of like crumbly, but still able to maintain it shape. It appeared really well with the rice and the sauce. Speaking of which, sauces. They do not skip. My only complaint about the platter is that there aren't a ton of veggies/salad, but that's really not that big of a deal. The veggies are pretty good though, they've got a sauce and seasoned well. The gyro platter itself was pretty good, I actually really liked that the meat isn't shaved, rather it's cubed. It makes the meat feel and taste a lot more tender and juicy, as I find the shaved meat can run a little dry. Not much to say about service or ambience, as I wasn't really there for that or really paying attention. The person that was running the register was kind enough. I totally forgot until after we had ordered that they are known for their burgers. Will stop by at a later date to give that a try and update the review.

Both are good and would come back to both, just different vibes and styles of food. These two definitely cheaper and better to go to than Royal Kabob. Falafel Corner is more take-outey less homey vibes, less vegetables. Hummus has less rich taste, but as a non Middle Eastern person I think it's still authentic, just more take out vibe. Compared to Sam's, less bread but good especially when hot, no red sauce, more meat, less vegetables, less flavorful rice. I like Sam's better, but I understand the high reviews and would bring others here.
