I limped into this station after an accident on the frwy. Front of my car was pushed in and the radiator leaking. A few hours later, I had a new radiator, thermostat. They also pulled the support beam back into shape. They also beefed up some fasteners with bigger washers and bolts. They really did a lot of work other places don't do. When I got the bill, the labor cost was about half of what they could have charged. These very nice men know what they are doing and treated me very, very well. I have worked on my cars for decades.. I know cars. Let me put it this way.. I live 9 miles away, but when I need mechanical work done or a transmission flush, I'm passing up about 15 other places and going to Nicks. Please do not take your car here, it was such an awful inexperienced mechanic who "fixed my car" I took it because my car didn't start, they told me I had to replace so many things...I don't know about cars so I replaced what they told me to.... After picking up my car they broke the coolant cap and gave me my car like that, after driving 2 blocks I noticed the car overheating, I took it back and made it seem like if it was a "favor" that they were doing by replacing it and on top of that, they MESSED UP the Brake Sensor and Air Bag sensor so both lights are on now and they didn't fix it!!! Horrible mechanics here, if you are a GIRL please DO NOT take your car here, do your self a favor and if you have AAA, take their advice on where to take it better, I know they are more expensive but at least they will be honest and guarantee their work not like this place read more

Its a really cool place,I went their for a oil change and the mechanics are very professional,it took them less than half a hour. And the cashers are very polite and I will go their again... Everybody has their own opinion and its okay ,but in my opinion the place is nice,they speak Spanish,English&Korean which I love because they understand me. read more

This awful place does not even deserve a one star. Also, I must note that I never leave reviews even after terrible service. I went in today, July 2, 2018, for an oil change only. My first service was performed on January 25, 2018, for an oil change with my ac filter replaced due to recommendations by the Shell technician. I was charged fairly... meaning $60.00 total inclusive of $50 oil change and $10 ac filter replacement. Thus, I visited Shell today for repeat business. However, the Asian manager, firmly insisted that I MUST change the ac filter because of his "accurate" judgment that the ac filter was used for more than 1 year. He then asked for $30.00 for the replacement which I refused because I had my ac filter changed approximately 6 months ago. I then informed him that the filter was less than 1 year old and that the price was not as high as $30 and that I paid only $10. This spiteful manager begins yelling at me shouting. "My employees and I would never charge less than $30 for an ac filter replacement." Essentially, this manager tried to SCAM me and then explicitly told me that I " DO NOT KNOW BECAUSE I AM A WOMAN." To recount, this manager tried to 1) SCAM me and displayed 2) DISCRIMINATION due to my gender. How distateful. Furthermore, in both visits, I NEVER received a LEGAL DOCUMENT/INVOICE for the services performed, but rather a flimsy receipt written as "Labor." Note: Before writing my review, I came upon a review by another customer on the SAME DAY that I had gone for an oil change. This person encountered that same situation as me, but also he/she had its parts STOLEN. I advise everyone to avoid this place at all costs, or you will be SCAMMED or face discrimination if you are a FEMALE. If you still insist on going, peruse through the pages and pages of reviews where people experienced the same or similar situations as me. read more

DO NOT GO HERE for Service! Rip-off artists. Rude to customers. Very rude. Like you are bothering them by coming in. WORST Customer Service EVER. They will push synthetic oil. Points to oil cap at some numbers and says, "This means synthetic oil only." Total bs. Over-priced. They all take lunch at the same time, so don't expect getting anything done during YOUR lunch hour. I shall never set foot on the grounds of this pathetic excuse of a service station again. I had a blowout at 10:45 Wednesday night on the Southbound 710. My phone had died earlier in the evening so it was of no use. I had no choice but to exit the car under extremely dangerous conditions and walked about a half mile from my broken down car to the station. I approached the guy in the booth and asked him if I could use the phone so I could call AAA. He refused to let me use the phone. I then asked him to call AAA for me. Again he refused. I then asked him in an agitated tone "Really? You're going to leave me out here stranded? In the middle of the night? Really? You won't help me? Are you kidding????" I could not believe my ears. I was forced to ask for help of one the Union 76 customers, who were few and far between I might add. A kind man allowed me to use his phone so I could call AAA. He even offered to drive me to the car which was a very generous offer. He said "you shouldn't be out here, it's a bad area". I decline because I did not wish to delay him any further. I really didn't want to wait on the side of the freeway with Big Rigs passing by at alarming rate of speed. I thanked him and he was on his way. The tow truck driver came to the station about 20 minutes later to pick me up. He drove me to my car and changed the wheel. I just got home from this ordeal. The point is this night time employee made a dangerous situation even worse. I will not forget this. And I will never do business there again. My name is Greg and have been a Union 76 customer for years. I make it a point to keep track of their station locations so I can use my credit card. My advice is to pass this place by and find a station that gives a shit about their customers. Because this one certainly doesn't. Shame On You!!! The only reason I gave this place one star is because I would have been unable to leave my posting without one. But if I could have given it Zero stars, I would have. read more

Using my credit card at this location eliminates the need to deal with the rude cashiers here. I go here for two reasons only: price and convenient location. Customer service is horrible. Cashiers are rude and unfriendly. On the weekends you are greeted by annoying car polish companies who are allowed to peddle their products and bug you with free demonstrations while you pump your gas. They recently upgraded their faulty credit card swipers so it is less likely that I have to interact with the staff here- a bonus. It is unfortunate that I cannot feel good about giving them my business. read more

This shell gas station has the worst customer service I have seen in recent memory. I was there for oil change on June 16 and told someone who looks like a manager that I need a oil change. He wears baseball cap forward facing backward. He said backup and park to the side. I waited half an hour and went to him and asked him how long more it would take. He was working on a car and did not pay attention to me. Either he was ignoring me or I don't know what to think. I walked up to another person and asked him the same thing. He went and asked the first guy something in Korean and got back to me to tell me that I have to wait one hour longer. If I new I would have to wait 1 1/2 hr or even 1/2 hr I would have left and go somewhere else or comeback at a later time. I have been there in the past and noticed they don't appreciate your business but this time I had enough and would not go back there and you should not either. read more

I learned about this place from a friend who told me the management is trustworthy which I later on found out to be true. I have been coming to this for almost five years now and I am very happy with them. One thing that really impressed me was when I asked to do a certain maintenance service needed to be done and the answer was " not yet, we just did it not long time ago". THIEVES - NICK SHELL STATION located at 17325 Pioneer in Artesia, California. Their mechanic stole my wallet.... I have a picture showing that I placed my wallet on top of a "For Sale" car at their station, and while taking pictures and cunningly being distracted, their mechanic stole my wallet. I noticed my wallet was missing less than blocks after leaving the location, only to be told I do not have proof. Well, I do have proof. I have the picture with my wallet on top of car and mechanic walking to my car. They are thieves. They stole my wallet, I.D.,passport and cash that I had saved so that I could purchase a used car car. I had a large sum of money on me because I was planning on meeting a private seller that day, but the advertised For Sale car in the Shell lot prompted me to stop. I took my wallet out intending to buy a soda and thought it was "safe" on top of the For Sale car (with my keys). I was cunningly distracted and when I left I took only my keys because that was the only object on top of the car, not realizing that my wallet had been stolen. The following day, the Shell supervisor denied that the mechanic worked there and then I was told he was off for the day. Soooo, I still do not have car and having difficulty paying rent and unemployed after working 25 years as a legal secretary. What else can go wrong??
