They gave me a bid to place my electric service underground. I had a handyman dig the trench and he also helped the electrician pull the cable thru the line. I kept track of the hours the electrician was at my house. Their hourly rate is $89/hr. Their guy kept running to the shop for parts he didn't have and PGE made him re-do the main line to meet specs! They tried to bill me $2,261.26 for what amounted to 3 hours of work. I paid them the$89/hr for that and asked for a list of parts to justify the balance and they were offended. Basically, they were trying to collect about $900/hr. I was ready to report them to the Contractor's Board but they backed down and accepted my check. Be Very Careful, or, better yet find someone you can trust. read more

Nice Electric put in an outdoor motion detector flood light for me a few years ago. It was GREAT at first, so sensitive that when someone walked by on the sidewalk, it would come on. The side of my house is extremely dark, so this light is needed for that area too. Bulbs burned out the following year, Nice didn't have any replacements so had to rework the fixture for new light bulbs. I checked it this year and I had to be standing directly underneath it, wave my hands in front of it, and it finally came on. I called to discuss this issue, I was asked to take pictures and text to owner. 6 days later, he calls and says he had to replace fixture. I asked about how old the fixture was, he didn't know since they don't have any records on my project. I am moving on to a reliable electrical company. Good bye Nice. read more
