Long time customer...always punctual, fair pricing and great quality work/solutions...highly recommend!

Juan at Nice and Cool heating and Air did a fantastic job getting our air conditioner fixed and in a timely fashion. I told him what was wrong with it and he was able to tell me in 5 minutes what it was he changed out one part in my air conditioner and all the sudden it was blowing at 60°. Just wanted to let everybody know this is the place to go for air conditioning . I called and spoke with Connie who was very nice on the phone and she got me in the same day which was fantastic considering how hot it was today 100° . What's also really great is their prices are totally reasonable. read more

The repair was quick and friendly But I was only prepared to take quotes only, I had setup multiple appointments for quotes. No company gives quotes over Yelp. Since I've never repaired my unit and had no idea the cost range. I assumed they were going to diagnose and give me price. But they just repaired without giving price. Definitely didn't appreciate the lack of communication. They gave a 10% off for the confusion. I just wish I would have made the choice of myself. read more

I cannot express enough how satisfied we are with the exceptional service we received from Nice and Cool! Our gas wall heater suddenly stopped lighting up despite the pilot still being on. We reached out on Yelp at 8pm for quotes and they immediately responded with several back and forth messages to set up an appointment for the next morning. They text us a couple times in the morning to confirm their appointment and advise what time they would be arriving. We also had another company come out earlier in the morning who provided us with expensive repair quotes ($700), without even fully understanding the issue. Jordi took his time to thoroughly inspect our heating system. He paid attention to every detail. His expertise and extensive knowledge were impressive. He patiently explained the problem to us in a way that we could understand, which made us feel involved in the repair process and how to fix the issue if it occurs again in the future. We highly recommend Jordi and this company. read more

Excellent experience- in a heat wave Eli and Carlos saved us. Fair quote to replace old and non functional compressor on the roof, and provided top notch quality throughout the entire process. Eli himself came to check everything was working well. Don't even bother shopping anywhere else- these guys are honest and care. read more

Great service and efficient. Fixed our AC and diagnosed the problem quickly. Made sure that the faulty part was covered by warranty and arranged to replace it for us at no cost. Highly recommend. read more

Had a good experience with the Nice and Cool crew. Shout out to Juan Carlos for going above and beyond. He diagnosed the problem with our A/C and got it up and running quickly. He was patient with explaining what was wrong. He was thorough in his work and checked up on a few loose ends to make sure everything was in good shape. The price was pretty reasonable and the service both from the office and Juan Carlos was friendly. Would use again! read more

Our heater/furnace broke down on a Friday night and the house was freezing! Asaf responded to my call/text and Eli came out at 8 am Saturday morning. He diagnosed the problem as a burned out circuit board and his technician Rito arrived Monday morning to install a new circuit board. Eli, Asaf, Rito, and Ivan did an excellent job! We highly recommend Nice and Cool HVAC! read more

I used Nice and Cool for a new AC/heating system five years ago. I spent somewhere around $20,000. A couple of days ago the motor stopped working and while the part was under warranty, I had to pay $600 for labor, which I thought was very unfair. The unit is only five years old and should not have broken down. My other heating/AC system was over 20 years old when I finally replaced it. I just feel like $600 for labor was excessive and I'm disappointed. I've always had a good relationship with Eli, the owner and have liked them very much. I would rate my overall experience with them as a five star but this time I have to give them a three because they fixed it promptly, which I was very appreciative of, but I felt that the price for labor was excessive. And, by the way, a unit that is less than five years old should not have the motor go out. read more

Asaf and Eli were beyond helpful with me through yelp and booking an appointment Immediately. They sent Carlos over who could not be more friendly and knowledgeable in the field. Our ac had a leak in the flare connectors and i was stressing it would be a really expensive fix but Carlos suggested a different repair and it worked like a charm. Now our AC blows cold air and they fixed it within an hour. Definitely recommend them and would use again. read more

Another HVAC company came and looked at our AC unit and said we needed it replaced and would cost approximately $10k. I'm so glad I had Nice and Cool come out for a consultation the following day. Carlos was informative and tested our thermostat. Something the other company didn't bother to check. That's what needed to be replaced! At a fraction of the cost. No price gouging! Thank you Nice and Cool and Carlos for your integrity and good work. read more

Huge thanks to Eli and company for fixing my AC. They came out right away, provided estimates with multiple options, as requested, and followed up with the repair immediately. The team also showed me how to clean my filters and were able to answer all of my questions. Extremely professional, and a pleasure to work with, including the office staff on the phone. I will definitely use them again when it's time to replace the system. Excellent work, honest quotes, fair pricing. Highly recommend! read more

We just moved to a new office and the summer's heat stayed trapped in the space and made things very humid and sticky. We added blinds in hope they would reduce the temperature in the room which is a large space. The blinds made things somewhat cooler, but not enough. It was still very humid. We couldn't bear it any longer. We called around and got a few quotes. We decided to go with Nice and Cool because they seemed very professional and the quote was very fair. The crew came in early in the morning. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and finished the job much faster than we anticipated. The AC made a huge difference. We could finally avoid feeling so sticky. The team at Nice and Cool even helped connect the units to our WiFi system so we can access everything remotely. If you're in need of service, replacement, or first-time installation of air conditioning and/or heater, look no further than Nice and Cool. Call them now. read more

The other day my AC all of a sudden was only blowing sort of cool air. I thought, oh crap, I'm in trouble, its a heat wave & I'll never get anyone out. Called Nice & Cool, they came next day (this was 8/19/20) and I was on a very important conf call for work. The fellow arrived right in the window promised no issues. So I ran outside, pointed to the AC (it's on the roof), told him the issue & could you please check it and text me. He was awesome, I never saw him again! He added refrigerant, told me I should be good to go, I texted back, told him it was cold again! He said they'd email me the invoice and BAM! it was done. What more could you ask really? I've referred them to friends on Gibson st. so if Nice & Cool reads this, take care of my friends too :-) read more

Bottom line is we are extremely happy with the service and product. We had a complete HVAC replacement. We received four quotes and they were $9,000 cheaper than the highest quote from a Costco contracted installer. The only inconvenience was they said that it would take two days for the work but it took four. With that said, the workers worked a solid four days and did a lot more work that I expected. They took out the old system with all of the exterior ductwork. They were very clean, respectful of being quiet, and were out of the way. The baffling part was I negotiated/haggled a bit to upgrade the equipment and to have extra work done on the roof. He didn't charge me for any of it. We emailed him and brought it to his attention but he refused to accept more. His response was, "I can't sleep if I overcharge people." Too good to be true. read more

Nice and Cool technicians are amazing. Our property management company has been using them for the past few months (as found on Yelp with high ratings) and they always come through and are able to fix every problem we present to them. My air conditioning was no longer blowing cold air and it seemed like it needed its filter changed. I called Nice and Cool and they responded to me right away! The customer service here is immaculate! They came first thing the next day, inspected the unit, and told me I just needed to add Freon. I like that they came, did the job, and left right away. There was no hassle to have multiple visits and they sent me the invoice the day after. I would recommend this place to all my family and friends in the LA area! Shoutout to Asaf for being very courteous and responsive, and the technician Nery and Raymond were so respectful and polite, and knew exactly what to do. read more

Nice And Cool - Cold air! - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Los Angeles, California

This was the third time Eli repaired my AC. He came over within hours of my call and repaired it right away. I live in a townhouse, and my AC unit is on the roof where the homeowners are not allowed to go up, so anyone can tell you whatever they want, and you are at their mercy. So, his honesty is even more appreciated. We're having the historically hottest week in LA, and sure enough, my AC broke on Saturday. Since I have an old dog who doesn't take the heat well, I had to get it fixed asap. I looked for my past records to find his info, but couldn't, and a neighbor recommended Abel from All Temp Mechanical Systems (he's not on Yelp, so here's my attempt to warn consumers). I reached Abel on Saturday, and he came out on the next day, went to the roof and told me I needed a new unit for $5,000! He insisted my unit was 20 years old. I knew it was between 10 and 15 years old, but along with Eli's info, I misplaced the entire file on my AC. After the conman left, I continued my search, and I finally found the whole file in a wrong folder, in which I found Eli's contact info and also that my unit is 12 years old! I called Eli, he came over, went up on the savagely hot roof and fixed it! Eli could have lied like the other guy, but that's not who he is. I'm grateful for his honesty, the quality of his work, and that he even came out on a Sunday to save us from this scorching heat. read more

This company sent someone faster than anyone else and figured out a problem that our existing contractor was confused by. The business owners obviously care a great deal about having a quick response. However I didn't like that the company dispatched someone without any information about our complaints. Either way, the job was done. For the right cost and in not much time. read more

Worst experience ever. Technicians arrived at end of 2 hour window, blew circuit breaker for whole unit, denied doing that, then they said they couldn't service HVAC because there was no power. They also made up a fake model number for the HVAC unit and said they would not be able to find a new motor because HVAC was too old. Then they left, leaving me with no power! I had to call their boss who made them come back to reboot building circuit breaker. Now that I had power they said they had no time to look at HVAC! I found someone else who fixed problem and reassured me he can easily find parts if necessary. read more

Had this company replace a heat exchanger that was under warranty. They told me it would take 3 guys all day and more parts to replace. It took two guys two hours with no additional parts. They sent me an invoice for over $2K (cost of labor for 3 workers and parts). I've emailed and called them many times to let them know they were overcharging me, but no one will return my calls or emails. They just keep sending the same invoice. I even called the HVAC manufacturer, and they said they paid Nice and Cool for the exchanger. Very aggravating experience. Still no resolution. read more

These guys were honest with me and did a good job. I have 3 gravity heaters and of course when I call someone I don't know, the last thing I want to hear is that the huge gravity heater (over 50 years old) will have to be replaced - and I know it has a new gas valve and the pilot light was on. But they diagnosed that the thermostat was defective and the charge was $275. I'd call them again. read more

Nice and Cool immediately responded to my request and came out within 2 days to repair a leak in my mini-split system. I had called other companies who said they only worked on central AC/ Heat, so I was relieved Nice and Cool was up for the job. It took about an hour to troubleshoot and fix the leak. The serviceman wore a mask and had covers for his shoes. Quick, efficient and professional, it's priceless these days. I highly recommend. read more

Nice and Cool came to assess our problem to help us with these issues: 1 bedroom was too cold and the adjoining room next to it, too hot. 2. Our living room faces the sun and gets too hot in the afternoon and needed more cooled air. Their technicians were prompt, curious, and had shoe covering. They used COVID-19 masks for the duration of the work. They spent time adjusting the valves until we were satisfied the two bedrooms were comfortable. They performed the same task for the living room. They left no mess behind and worked efficiently to complete the job. A+++ as far as I'm concerned. Highly recommend. read more

Terrible service. I hired Nice &cool to trouble shoot a heating and cooling unit for my customers salon in Santa Monica, ca. The technician stated he could not diagnose or fix the unit until he performed a pressure test. I agreed so we could get the system up and running for the salon customers comfort ( it has been in the upper 90's). I paid over $700 for the system to be pressurized. A few days later the tech returned to check the pressure. He never explained what was wron or what needs to be done to fix. They abound and me completely. The invoice (that I recived after calling weeks later) states they are waiting for the manufacture to quote them a price for the part. I called a Hvac supplier (heating and cooling supply, which these guys use) they had the part in stock in van nuys. These guys obviously just don't care about the customer. They made $700 for a simple hour of work for 1 guy. They are killin it. The service was performed oct 28 2019. I finally received the invoice nov 21 2019. It is now December and I have yet to here from these guys. Eli is proving he didn't care about his customers. Now I am starting to question the technicians honesty and ability. It is possible he is doing this because he doesn't know what he is doing. I will now have to hire another company to retest and FIX the unit. Word of advise, be careful with these guys. read more

I had a "Complete system change out", which included all new ductwork for over thirteen thousand. I caught them on multiple occasions not replacing the ductwork and in some cases, putting duct tape on the old ones. (The last time, I found out by making a repair and opening one of the walls downstairs.) After coming back multiple times to replace ducts that they should have replaced from the beginning, I simply no longer trust them. I'm sure the owner will come here and defend himself by stating that I told him to only replace the ducts in areas that he could access and that I didn't want to pay to open the walls. I know this, because that is the lie that he told American Express when I disputed part of the charge. Why in the world would I thousands on all new plumbing, which requires opening all the walls, then somehow not want all of the ducts replaced? Where is the contract stating that I did not want all new duct work, yet am somehow willing to pay for a complete system change out? To top it off, when I asked him for the permits that he was supposed to have pulled, I found out that he didn't even do that. Thankfully, I was having other work done for the remodel and had permits and inspections that covered this. All of my other contractors were honest and decent, except this one. He should really be ashamed at lying the way that he has. read more
