Wanted to support local business and have heard horror stories about Home Depot/Lowes installers…read more The owner came to do estimate ,provide catalogs. Decided to go with them . Order took longer to come in then quoted ...found this out after calling a week after arrival date.Installers were given a weekday and weekend day as availability .Neither were convenient for THEM ! Had to call owner to get a more reasonable date .When the day came several installers arrived ( friendly) but work was not without issues. We were told our 10yr old screen door which was in good condition could not be installed without gaps. They did not have replacement parts in color to match (told... you can paint the one we put on! )Then they installed WRONG door! When the owner was contacted he blamed factory.NO apology until I called to complain. We were told they would do a rush order and all problems would be fixed when they came back.4 wks later I had to call to find out where our door was??!Again no apology ,they came installed door and did very poor job of fixing gaps etc. The reply I received when I told him how disappointed we were in his professionalism, workmanship and lack of any offer to compensate the issues was "Well it wasn't my fault the factory screwed up" ! i would highly recommend Home Improvement for roofing and siding. I had Josh come out for a quote…read more(one of 5 that i got) they were not the cheapest nor were they the most expensive. Josh was knowledgeable and pleasant. He was also the only one to point out to me the 2 layers of siding on my home (there was old wood shake under the existing vinyl). I liked everything about the way he did business, so I went with them. The roofing was done in 1 day and the team of 13 guys he had was efficient clean and very pleasant. A Lead showed up for the delivery of the roofing to make sure it was properly placed to protect my driveway. The team that came to do the siding was just as good. They all seemed very happy to be at their jobs and just did a fantastic job. I had all the windows and doors rewrapped and had all new gutters. My wife and I couldn't be happier.

If you're thinking of getting a new roof -- go with someone else!! This place has caused my home…read moreand family more trouble than our ancient garbage roof ever did. We were quoted for a new roof on our home in April 2025 and work began soon after. The workers had total disregard for our property. They stomped across our front garden, left their empty cans in our children's sandbox, and left nails just all over. They also smashed and snapped a huge limb off of our lilac bush (I watched them do this carelessly). They left extra pieces of roofing on the roof that blew off into the yard as well as a significant amount of nails on top of the roof of our porch. I understand the work can be messy, but this seemed outrageous. I was picking nails off our driveway for months afterward. The real issues started this winter. We live in Colden, NY and are used to harsh winters with an old roof. However, you'd think after almost $30k for a brand new roof you wouldn't have to worry about leaking/ insane ice issues on it. We have had leaking in the past that we were told would be remedied with the new roof. Instead, the leaking has been significantly worse this year causing more damage through our walls and ceilings. The first time they sent a repairman out to address the issue I was not asked if we were home or if they could come on the property. They called and told me (again, not asked) they'd be at our house in 20 minutes. While I appreciate the quick response, I am a SAHM with two littles and really did not feel comfortable receiving a call that someone would be coming into my home while I was home by myself. In addition to this, they gave the repairman the wrong address and he ended up stuck in my neighbor's driveway which was completely torn up when they pulled him out. The repairman did nothing but take photos of the house and shrug. He told me he couldn't do anything because the amount of ice on the roof would further damage it. The second time this happened, he took a ladder up to look at the issue and told us it was because of the siding. Our siding is old, however we are not convinced the siding is the issue. He found more pieces of roof that'd blown off in our yard and told us he was going to leave to reshape them and come back later that day to reattach them. He never came back, and we never heard from anyone again.
