Kind of hard to believe considering the monoliths of today, but I try to imagine how awe inspiring it must have been (especially considering how it is still pretty spectacular). You can visit the building to do business at one of the many office located in the space, to grab a bite at one of the eateries or just to admire the architecture. It is often host to private events like wedding receptions, political rallies or gala fundraisers because of how gorgeous the lobby area is. If you are downtown, stop in and admire the beauty!

I went on a weekday around lunch time and it was basically dead in the mall and definitely in the food court. I did see lots of empty storefronts as well, which seems to be a sign of the time for malls these days. The mall was very clean, very modern/up-to-date with the décor and a offered a comfortable, safe shopping experience. It is strange to write a review for a candy/chocolate vendor with no name, but I saw no name posted…read moreover the counter of this vendor at the Broadway Market. I purchased 4 pieces of sponge candy, 2 milk chocolate orange(for a present) and 2 dark chocolate. These four pieces of sponge candy weighed slightly over 1/2 pound!!! I have never seen sponge candy cut into such large pieces. I ate most of one dark chocolate piece. It had a very thick coating of chocolate over the sponge, and it was pretty good chocolate. It was the sponge that was not great. It was very dense, and it seemed not very fresh. It was difficult to bite off a piece. I could not eat the whole four plus inch piece of sponge all at one time. At $23.99/lb. the candy at this stand is reasonably priced compared to other candy stores. I just wish the sponge had been less dense and fresher.

Hence David saying "Victoria has finally come out of the closet." Total misunderstanding. OR. WAS. IT. I'm actually a big fan of Lackawanna even though it's old and poor and run-down - I actually think that gives it character and it's one of the few real places left in the region and in the country perhaps. They have a couple of businesses here like a lawyer office and some cool ethnic restaurants around the block and just watch out for the cops when you're coming in and out of here and around here because they'll get you for just a couple of miles over because honestly I think they're a little bit fascist and very trigger-happy.
