We placed an order for two pallets of salvage pet food with Dara on 01/02/2024. In their email…read moreadvertisement it says each pallet is approximately 1000lbs. We waited over a month to get our pallets. We paid $1562.00 total with shipping. There is also a $25.00 wire fee from the bank. We kept asking and they said there was no food available yet. On February 2nd, 2024, we were informed that the warehouse had combined the two pallets into one. Which we found odd that they were going to put 2000lbs of pet food onto one pallet. The truck came on Wednesday the 7th with a very tiny pallet weighing 900lbs, wood pallets themselves weigh 45lbs. We immediately let Dara know who shifted responsibility to Dave, who we have yet to hear from. He has been out of the office. The pallet was shipped from a company called Bgb Pet Supply 5150 Flushing Rd, Flushing, MI 48433. The pallet had a total of 63 items with a full retail value of $1,937.01 but everything is expired. Normally salvage pet food is sold at 15-20% of retail and the discount store owner sells at 50-60% of retail. So, we will sell this at 50% off the full retail price. Which give us a value of $968.50 which will give us a minimal loss of -$593.50 I thought this company was a supplier for discount store owners, but I guess not. We could have gone to the website https://magoospet.com/ and placed an order ourselves. If we wanted to pay full price. They could have had a long-term customer, but they don't seem to care about that. Have yet to hear from Dave

Every warehouse club carries different items along with their own name brand and national branded…read moreitems. First of all, I like coming to BJ's for certain things as they accept American Express payments. Costco does not (Boo!) and I like to use my Amex to rack up miles. So I do prefer shopping at BJ's in that aspect. Secondly, the fact that they have their own coupon book and accept manufacturer coupons are also pluses in my book. Finally, their ExpressPay feature in the BJ's app is a huge time saver especially when I need to get in and get out quickly. It allows you to scan you cart items as you shop and pay in the app before leaving so you can skip the checkout line. Super convenient! I shop at this location as well the one in Fort Lauderdale on Power line Road as that is closer to me, and both locations are 95% of the time never super busy. They have late closing hours which allows you to visit outside of traffic hours and get your shopping done with ease. I usually come for their things like paper towels, detergent, and other household items. Their produce is limited but what they do have is fresh cheaper than Costco. I feel like I definitely save more money here on a lot of grocery and household items over their competitors. My only complaint is that their meat department is lacking. They only sell choice meat, no PRIME meats which have more marbling and more flavor and less fresh seafood items, like branzino or fresh shrimp. During the holidays they do have the seafood cart brought in which is nice and I try to catch them at that time. The aisles are big and signs above the aisles are clearly marked. It's easy to get in, find what you need, and get out, especially with the ExpressPay feature. Did I mention that already {:-)? I wish they would carry more premium and organic items that Costco has though. I would never have a reason to go to Costco if they did. Also the amount of premium items in each department is limited. I also like that you can bring your propane tank for refill. You have to go inside their liquor store to get someone to go to the propane refill station. The outside parking situation can be a mess at times getting into the parking lot and getting out of the parking lot. So much traffic around the area which I why I prefer to go to the Fort Lauderdale location.
