My path led me to Sacred Moon Healing Center about a year ago, though at the time, I didn't fully…read moreunderstand why. I just knew something inside me was asking for healing... and I chose to listen. What I found there was so much more than I ever expected. I found a space held with compassion. A place where judgment doesn't live. A place where women come exactly as they are--no masks, no pretending. A place where you can spread your wings freely... or fall apart completely... and still be met with love. Here, you can cry, laugh, scream, and release--all within the same hour--and instead of being misunderstood, you are seen. Truly seen. What lives within this community is something sacred. It's a remembering... of who we are beneath the pain, beneath the stories, beneath everything we've carried. And also a gentle awakening into who we are becoming. There are no words that feel big enough to express the depth of my gratitude. Only a quiet knowing in my heart that this space, these women, and this experience were meant to find me exactly when they did. And for that... I am endlessly thankful.

Today I experienced a 90 minute deep tissue massage with Jeff M. of Muscular Wellness in Bow, NH…read more I found him to be both inefficient and ineffective. Even with a 90 minute massage, Jeff M. did not complete a full massage. My previous masseur from Rhode Island completed a full head to toe massage including emphasis on my back area in only 75 minutes which also included a foot scrubbing all well as hot towel treatment on my back and feet. Jeff M. tried to work on my back for over an hour. He did not complete what I needed in terms of muscular massage relief. He then worked on the backs of both legs, my neck and upper chest. I felt cheated paying $135. He never even asked if I felt that the massage was satisfactory. He seemed to not care. He only asked if I wanted to book another appointment. I said no. Would I recommend Jeff M.? No. Would I return for a massage with him? No.

I had seen Dr. Mary at Chiropractic Associates on and off for over a year. My experience had been…read morepositive, as this had helped some lower back pain. That was all I had gone in for, and I requested no adjustments to my neck as I both had spinal surgery (fusion, C5-7) 3 years prior, had no pain or problems there since, and wanted to keep it that way. She respected my wishes, and we never had a problem. When Dr. Mary moved out of state, I moved over to Dr. Chris, who had a good reputation. Someone in my family had gone to him for years and had nothing but positives to say. My first two or three times were fine. I had also explained to him my spinal surgery and my request for no neck adjustments. I then noticed a distinct lack of professionalism the next time or two, as he primarily complained about his workload and how long his days were. Odd, but fine. Unfortunately the last straw for me was my last appointment 6 weeks ago. He performed a neck adjustment without asking. I immediately felt pain in the same spot I had my surgery and was very concerned. I hoped it would reside later, but it did not. I called back the office and came back in for x-rays. He said that he had forgotten about my medical record and request. Thankfully, the hardware was not damaged. I discussed options and what might be wrong with Dr. Chris, who apologized. I then requested he send me the notes on what we had discussed, to which he responded that there would be no way he would remember what we discussed later in the day and he was very busy with patients. I said I understood his position, but requested he understand mine that if he would not recall, how would I as a layperson recall his descriptions and medical terminology? He then jotted some notes and said he would follow-up. I waited a couple of days and called the office as he had not followed up as he said. When I still did not receive an email a couple of days later, I called again, after which Dr. Chris did email me with a summary of notes as we had discussed. The pain has persisted which has prompted a return to my surgeon's office to confirm no further damage was done. While I understand people make mistakes, forgetting your patient had significant spinal surgery and specific request to avoid this area is unacceptable. I am also concerned about the level of unprofessionalism surrounding these experiences. Further, as I had not had a day of pain since my surgery until this mistake, I am certain I will not return.

Kevin's a cool dude, very well learnt, and had a good touch with the Japanese needles he used. My husband barely felt the needle at all and he was definitely flushed when he finished his treatment, which meant his blood circulation is activated and his energy is coursing through his veins. Kevin is very connected to the other oriental medicine practitioners in the area and can recommend you to specific practitioners for herbs or other treatments as needed too. He practices Kiiko Matsumoto's style of acupuncture, so he does not do some traditional stuff like looking at your tongue or taking your pulse, preferring to rely on the sense of touch and palpitations to find the energy points.
