This might be weird to say, but I was also impressed by how clean and tastefully decorated the bathrooms are. But of course, the most important room is the yoga room, in which the positive and relaxing energy is almost palpable. High ceilings, dark wooden exposed beams, mustard yellow walls, and tall windows that look out onto the Merrimack River. This room beats any dingy gym I have ever taken a yoga class in. There are a ton of classes to choose from throughout the week, and the business operations of this studio run as smooth as butter. Just reserve a spot for a class online and then show up. There are a bunch of different payment and class bundle options available too. The owner, Caroline Giles is so incredibly friendly and encouraging. I also love how there are different classes for all levels of fitness and experience. I just wish classes weren't so pricey, although I think the $10/class cost is pretty average for places around here. I got a LivingSocial deal for 30 classes for $30 and it was the best 3-month break from the gym I have ever taken.

She had sent me out a consultation sheet before we met and then spend an hour and half going over my health and fitness goals, issues, etc. I already knew a little bit about Ayurveda health programs, but she went into details about how it could help me to achieve greater health and energy. Yoga is part of their program and they have two locations in New Hampshire. She plans to send me an extensive report and web sites to help me cook and learn yoga. Once I get it all back I will update this review, but so far I am impressed with the knowledge and facility. They offer so many health programs and their facility was amazing. Dry saunas, massage rooms, Ayurveda treatments. Really impressive. The drive was a bit more than hour from Boston. Worth it!

I did need some breaks but all in all the instructors tell you to listen to your body but they motivate you to keep going. It was a great class definitely will come back I signed up for 2 more classes of MEGA: Essentials. Which is their beginner class or for those who want to perfect their form. I do wish they had a 30 minute intro class that really went over the machines because it was hard to hear over the headset the instructors wear and I did find myself looking up and watching what others were doing. But still it was easy to keep up and understand after doing it once.

The staff are all super friendly and always willing to help you before, during, and after classes. I tried my first spin class last night with Mackenzie and have never enjoyed working out as much as I did during her class. She incorporated toning and arm exercises into the routine which was different (loved it). Both the barre and spin classes are in dimly lit studios with neon lights and the BEST music. I've only ever been in classes with women so far which I also like, and even though I'm a newbie I've always felt welcome. This is just what downtown Haverhill was missing. I'm hooked!!

Don't get scammed by the manager…read more I recently relocated to NH from the west coast and have been an avid bouldering enthusiast for 15 years. This is the only climbing gym in the area so naturally I went to check it out and bought the 2 week punch card promotion with free top rope class. On first impression evo is a beautifully constructed climbing gym that is primarily catered to top rope. I was disappointed that the bouldering area seemed to be an afterthought. The second thing I noticed was that this gym is absolutely FILTHY. Chalk everywhere, every surface is coated with a layer of chalk the climbing holds are caked with chalk and grime. There seems be no daily cleaning being done despite the numerous amount of staff members on the floor. You can't sit on bouldering mats without being covered in chalk. This place is a COPD hazard. I was still going to sign up for a monthly membership despite these issues. However, on the last day of my 2 week pass I was called down to the front desk on the intercom. I wasn't sure why, but the employee notified me that his boss told him that my pass had already expired and I need to pay $20 for a day pass. This wasn't correct, I asked to speak with him and he insisted that my trial began the moment I paid online several days before actually starting my 2 weeks. After 20 minutes of explaining the terms of my contract to the manager and showing him what 14 consecutive days means, he eventually said that my contract was indeed still valid. The ordeal took so long I was late for work and I never got to ask if this mistake was due to the manager being incompetent, or if he was trying to commit contract fraud. I went back to speak with him in person and he denied any accountability and started becoming belligerent and banned me for life while screaming and cursing me out the door for questioning him. If you are a member, know the terms of your contract and if this happened/happens to you please report it to the NH attorney general. If you are a staff member, if the manager asks you to do something illegal, say no and tell him to go clean the walls. If you are the owner of this establishment, you need a new manager.

That's something I really enjoy at a rock climbing gym, and I can tell they value the importance of customer service. The facility is absolutely beautiful with high walls- many of which are leadable, new holds, and frequent new routes. The route setting is different, technical, and well thought out. I really appreciate the effort they put into their routes, and that is the main reason I choose to drive an hour to use the gym! They also have a great workout area and yoga room. This place is definitely worth the visit, and if you're a student, have your ID ready because they offer a big student discount :)
