DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Dr. Lay is by far the most…read moreunprofessional doctor I've ever encountered. I was scheduled for double eyelid surgery on October 18th and traveled from Sacramento to San Jose for the procedure. Right before my appointment, Dr. Lay called to say he was "sick" and needed to reschedule. I was frustrated, but I tried to be understanding. He then booked me for November 15th at noon. I arrived early at 11:00 AM, only for him to cancel on me at 11:30 AM--thirty minutes before my surgery. He admitted he was still in bed, claiming he was "sick" again. There was no genuine apology, no urgency, no professionalism whatsoever. At that point, it was clear this doctor cannot be trusted with anyone's time, money, or medical care. I demanded a full refund and will never deal with him again. If you value your time and sanity, go elsewhere. The text message from Dr. Lay was sloppy. At this point it looked less like he was "sick" and more like he was hungover and couldn't even send a proper text.

Nearly three years ago, I had a mommy makeover (tummy tuck and breast lift with implant…read morereplacement), and choosing Dr. Maser at Reveal Plastic Surgery was one of the best decisions I've made. Before moving forward, I consulted with about half a dozen plastic surgeons across the Bay Area. Dr. Maser stood out immediately as the most knowledgeable, thoughtful, and honest. He wasn't trying to "sell" me anything. No add-ons, no unnecessary procedures--just a clear, thoughtful approach focused on what would actually deliver the best outcome for me. That alone was refreshing. From start to finish, the level of care from Dr. Maser, his nurse, and the entire office was exceptional. Every detail was handled, every question answered, and the follow-up was just as strong as the prep. The whole experience felt seamless and incredibly well run. And the results? Truly incredible. The kind where you quietly think, why didn't I do this sooner? I also want to call out the transparency and integrity of the practice. Other offices quoted extremely high prices and then followed up with repeated calls offering slight discounts to try to win my business. Reveal was the complete opposite--one fair, straightforward price from the start. No games, no gimmicks. I've continued to go back to Reveal for Botox and facial laser treatments with Hollie, and the experience has been consistently excellent. They never push treatments or try to oversell--everything is thoughtful, appropriate, and tailored. It's honestly refreshing. After my last treatment (just last Friday), they sent me home with a cooling face mask, a handheld fan and a cute hat--which honestly felt like the spa version of a mic drop. Such a fun, thoughtful touch. You leave every visit feeling confident, cared for, and like your best self, and I genuinely look forward to going back.

After 12+ months of research and numerous internal conversations about whether or not to get…read moresurgery to correct my upper right eyelid I decided it was time to do so and I chose Dr. Rosenthal to perform the blepharoplasty. Why Dr. Rosenthal? For me it was a decision based three primary criteria. Connection, credentials, and reviews. I then met with or had conversations with the surgeons I believed might be a good fit for me. After these initial meetings I got the underwhelming sense that I was either not welcome or insignificant somehow. Although subtle, it felt potent. Connection: However, in Dr. Rosenthal's office, I felt validated as a person and after meeting her I felt assured that she would perform the procedure with precision like accuracy. After just ten minutes of talking with her I had no doubt in my mind that I would be in good hands. Credentials: Dr. Rosenthal completed her residency and chief residency in plastic surgery at Stanford University. She received her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. She holds a bachelor-of-arts degree with high honors from Brown University. In addition, she has completed fellowships in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Rosenthal is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and has received many awards and accolades. Impressive! Reviews: Well, you can see them on Yelp for yourselves. There are a couple concerning reviews about communication with the front office. Despite these reviews my experience with the staff has only been warm and welcoming. The staff is extremely prompt and professional, in addition to kind and courtesy. I would not let these reviews be a deterrent from meeting with Dr. Rosenthal in person and having a discussion about what you want to achieve and how she can help support you. With the three criteria were met I decided to schedule the operation with Dr. Rosenthal. In terms of the logistics of the operation both leading up to and after the surgery, the staff and Dr. Rosenthal were very supportive and thorough about how I should prepare myself to be in the best possible condition for the operation and to heal after. All in all the surgery itself took about an hour and was painless (I was awake for the operation). Swelling was normal and stitches came out in a few days. Results? In all sincerity Dr. Rosenthal exceeded my expectations! Quick contextualizing story: I was in a car accident over a decade ago and my right upper eyelid was torn apart by glass from the shattered front windshield. It was sown back together quickly and didn't heal properly. It has been droopy ever since. It resembled a lazy eye, but with visible scar tissue. I would have been happy just to get the scar tissue and the bothersome extra skin removed from my upper right eyelid even if it didn't match my left eyelid. Dr. Rosenthal didn't just remove the scar tissue and extra skin causing the lazy eye, but she also made the eyelid symmetric to the other eyelid and it appears as it would naturally. The scar is hardly visible and virtually invisible when my eyes are open. The scar will eventually fade with time. I am beyond thankful Dr. Rosenthal did my surgery. I feel as if a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. All the internal stress I caused myself being self-conscious about my eyelid has completely evaporated. I can look people in the eyes and listen to them fully without the internal chatter of insecurities running through my head about my eyelid, which may not seem like a big deal, but really is for me. I never thought having the surgery would make me a happier person with a new perspective on the importance of self-care. So... I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Rosenthal!

I have been interested in a breast augmentation along with other breast changes for years as no matter what I did with my yo-yo weight loss journey my breasts remained to be a big concern. Last year, I was at a point of frustration with my breasts and pulled info for 2 surgeons. Two appointments were made with both surgeons and fortunately, the first appointment was scheduled with Dr. Lisa Hwang. I was nervous and anxious but I was ready for a change. After my initial consultation, Dr. Lisa Hwang who listened to my concerns/ wishes and answered all my many questions.
