Always welcoming, with attentive service and a varied menu with both chinese and thai dishes to choose from. I don't think the prices are any more expensive than any other Chinese restaurant - but even if they are, the quality of the food at the Jade would certainly justify it. The peking and thai feast is particularly popular and great value if there's a group of you - three courses including an excellent selection of hors d'oeuvres, crispy duck, and a selection of main courses for under 20 quid a head - and believe me, there's plenty of food for your money! Special occasions such as christmas and new year are brilliant fun at the Jade as Frankie, the owner, will put on the karaoke system (although as everywhere the price goes up a little on those nights). I don't have a bad word to say really - it's the best chinese restaurant i've ever been to, anywhere. And they own the takeaway next door, Kings, which serves the same outstanding grub for you to enjoy at home. It was a leap of faith as there weren't any Yelp reviews to help guide us. I am so happy to report that the service was excellent from the moment I called and placed the order. A friendly voice efficiently took my order, confirmed it and said it would be ready in 15 minutes. Exactly 15 minutes later I arrived to a warm smile and friendly welcome. The food was packaged up in an excellent Asian-inspired cardboard carrier. The aroma from the box was intoxicating for the short journey back home.
