During my search for the perfect Landcruiser, I saw many advertised for sale from their dealership. I went to look at a 2020 Landcruiser with 5324 miles on it! I was told the LandCruiser had been garage kept and was in perfect condition. One of the owners responded to my inquiry; " the cleanest vehicle he had ever seen". I am not a car mechanic, but I looked at the vehicle and everything looked ok. I am retired and wanted this Land Cruiser to be my last vehicle, so I paid a very high amount for what I thought was basically a "new" vehicle. I traded in my excellent condition Lexus and paid for the Land Cruiser in cash.Three weeks later I began to notice things. I took the vehicle into the Toyota dealer and paid for a thorough examination of the vehicle. They revealed that the car had been in a collision that was not noted on the carfax, and had been repaired. I called RMR and we set up an appointment to discuss this situation. From where I live it is a two hour drive each way. One of the owners could not make the meeting.I presented my findings, presented data, information from the Toyota Dealer I had gone to see with his business card and we discussed some options for reconciliation. The owner seemed all apologetic, blah, blah, blah. We decided to come back after lunch and resolve the situation. The owner never returned, I was left with a financial manager, the one who lied to me, about the previous vehicle owner storing it in the garage for 4 years when I first came to look at it. Well, it was in the garage alright, being repaired under the the table! They offered to buy back the vehicle, except taxes. That meant I had to get a rental vehicle until I sorted this out coupled with fining another Landcruiser. This option seemed like additional monetary and time loss. Another option they presented was I could take was $3,000. The collision man at Toyota assured me that the repairs that were done were in the 5 -10,000 dollar range, not to mention that now I have to disclose the collision. I never got the impression during this "meeting" that they were sorry or disturbed about the situation at all. I did get the feeling of being taken advantage of all over again. Every staff member I spoke with was super helpful and professional. Hayes is the main person I…read morespoke with. I was able to schedule my appointment at the most convenient if their locations. They do require a $50 deposit to schedule, but will apply it to the total of the job once it's complete. The day I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised with how nice the lobby was and all of the helpful information posted throughout. Hayes had my Grace (my vehicle, of course) in the back within a few minutes of arriving. I made myself a nice K cup of coffee and relaxed as he started the work. Shortly after, Hayes asked me to come back to show me an issue he ran into while applying the tint to my back windshield. When my back windshield was replaced, somehow the metal tray under the back dash was raised and there wasn't enough room to get the tint on the glass in one corner. Hayes showed me the issue and gave me the options I had, which included tinting but having a gap not tinted where the issue was, or to wait and see what I could do (if anything) about the metal piece. He was even patient and kind with me as I FaceTimed my son to ask his advice, and Hayes also spoke directly to my son to come up with the best solution. I really appreciated him not just going through with the tint job and being unhappy with the gap that would exist. I haven't had the job done yet, but I will absolutely go to Tint Pro when I'm ready!
