A quote originally given to us (move from the Central Valley to San Diego) after giving them a full tour of the house via video with all the rooms shown, furniture details etc , THEIR INITIAL QUOTE WENT UP FROM 3.5k to 7k on the day of move!!! With already 500$ down as an initial deposit and ready to move on that day (for work) We were placed in a very tight spot. This is for a small family of 2 adults and a toddler. They changed their price on us once they loaded the trucks and once they realized we had a special needs kiddo and were in a time crunch- moving for job, they took advantage of our situation. The owner/ person who gave us the initial quote was not available over the phone despite several calls since "he was on vacation and had no access". The loaders/ workers said they couldn't budge on the price and the only person to speak to was their boss who couldn't be reached. We were left scrambling, trying to get cash from the bank / atm with cash limits and the banks were closed for the weekend. Ended up borrowing from friends and family to come up with the difference. On top, they told us they will absolutely not wait for us and charge us $100 per 30 minutes if we were late and they got to San Diego before us. A very inconsiderate and immoral company. When owner finally did get back to us 2 days later after the move to address the huge quote difference. His response was I will give you a discount on your next move. Like we would ever even consider them again. I would stay away from these scammers as far away as possible.

The person I booked with was an interesting fellow. I got a call back and less than a minute on the phone with him, he tells me he needs to hang up and call me back on a different phone number. It was odd but I ignored it. In hindsight, I probably should have seen this as a red flag and booked elsewhere. Regretfully I paid the deposit. Leading up to my appointment, I received no follow up confirmation two days before my move like the confirmation email stated. So I decided to follow up. It was only then did I start getting the confirmation that I was all set for my move on 12/14. I was told the crew would arrive between 8am-10am. The morning of my move no one arrived. No one called to follow up with me or provide an update. I called in at 10am asking for an update. It was only then did they tell me there was an issue with the truck. Why did I have to chase down this information? They told me the crew would now arrive at 11am. No one showed up. I called back in around 11:50am asking for an update because at this point I was so behind schedule. The person I spoke to had no clue what was going on. Luckily the crew ended up arriving at 10mins later. Due to this delay I missed the reservation I had booked for the loading dock at my new apartment and I missed my internet installation. I then had to wait a whole week to get it installed. This may not seem like a big deal but for someone who works from home, it was. The lack of communication and professionalism is why I will never use this service again. Moving is already so stressful and I hired movers to help the process go smoother. This ended up being nothing but a headache. TRUST MEEEE, spend a little more and book elsewhere.

I had booked the move two weeks in advance and confirmed everything with Jake K., including start time, wardrobe boxes, and specific details like leaving clothes in my dresser. The morning of the move, the crew was over FIVE HOURS LATE -- I had to follow up twice just to get updates. At first, I was told they'd be there at 11 a.m., then 12:30-1 p.m., and they finally arrived at 2:45 p.m. I was later told this was because there were no trucks available, which makes me question how a moving company accepts a confirmed job without basic resources. The two movers who arrived were very young, clearly inexperienced, and completely unprofessional. There was a major language barrier, they didn't understand or follow basic requests, and I had to repeatedly remind them about things that were already in my original request -- like unmounting TVs and bringing in wardrobe boxes. When they did bring the boxes, they came without the hanging bars, and I was told the warehouse "ran out of materials." So I had to individually rehang all my clothes *while paying by the hour.* The movers also: * Took an hour-long break to go eat (after saying it would be 15-20 minutes) * Used my personal chargers -- one even dug into a packed box to find one * Taped boxes sloppily and stacked fragile items poorly * Asked inappropriate questions about personal belongings * Left scuff marks on my walls and floors * Tried to charge extra for my dresser, even though I had cleared that with Jake ahead of time * Seemed surprised/frustrated that my new place had stairs -- even though it was in my original move request To top it off, they didn't provide a breakdown of charges or have me sign anything before or after the move, which they had done on my previous moves. They initially tried to charge me $881 for 6+ hours of inefficient, unprofessional service, even though I had scheduled a 9 a.m. move to avoid traffic and parking issues -- which we ended up dealing with anyway, at 7 p.m. on a Friday. I had to argue for a discount and was told I was getting $131 off, but even that felt like a slap in the face. Someone from operations that I eventually got on the phone told me I had picked a "busy time of the month and week" -- as if they hadn't accepted my booking and confirmed it weeks prior. This experience was frustrating, exhausting, and totally unprofessional. I've used Orda before with better results, but this time was unacceptable. Poor communication, poor planning, and completely underqualified movers. I won't be using them again -- and I'd caution anyone else considering them to think twice.

I was told a majority of my items needed to be crated and this was an additional charge per item. I decided to leave behind furniture that was too expensive and crated only 3 items. A stone coffee table and two side tables. Upon its arrival, the coffee table top was broken in 3 pieces. I spent $300 on it's crating, and had basic insurance on the item. I was advised by the store I purchased the item that a crate is how they transport stone slabs. But only if the crate was created properly. My item was thrown into a makeshift crate without any padding or shock absorbers. It wasn't a crate, just a box with one piece of thin foam on one side. The delivery drivers commented one the opened the "crate" that the crate was not made well and there's a high chance once we unwrap the top that it will be broken. It was broken and I paid them $300 to break my furniture. Close to $8000 for a move which was not organized well. Their storage fee for one month was $800 which is inflated. They also attempted to charge me another storage fee during my moving window. They did not take any accountability for their negligence and work. And their resolution was paying me $100 for a $1000 coffee table and to refund me for the "crate". I would not recommend or use them again if you have anything of any sort of value to ship.

They also advertise as having local branches and that's just not true. Furthermore, they advertise as door to door and that is not accurate at all.
