Not a pill pusher, but highly respects my ability to make choices for my body even if it isn't the choice he would make. Financially I was able to pair his fee with a slightly higher deductible plan at work. The combination of the two was actually less than what I was paying working for a school system and I get significantly better care.

He is a very caring PCP, but I think where he lacks is experience. In all honesty, if you get a cold, or a cut, he is amazing. But if you get a bout of meningitis or another illness which is chronic in nature - i would stay away until his practice matures. I have total faith, it will. He's definitely not a 1 star doc and he is trying his best to be a 5 star. To me, Dr. Joffee is a 2 star only because I have seen better, thats all. In my opinion, to most he is probably a 3-4 stars.

My elderly mother is a patient/CLIENT with this "organization". I have taken her to all three…read morelocations. The worst location is the Tyson's location. The second worst is the Vienna location and the best pick is the Fairfax location. I have too many criticisms and horrid experiences to write about concerning this place. My mother was seeing a PA Tran for many years. This person claimed my mother had "white coat" high blood pressure. Not true. My mother had unmanaged high blood pressure for YEARS! Years! This was going for years! She should have asked my mother to take her blood pressure at home and get some sort of a record of what was actually going on. Also...once my mother had dangerously high sodium levels. What was the PA's response...she called my mother and told her to eat something really salty and get another test right away. My mother ate a bag of potato chips and when retested...sodium was normal. Nothing more was said or done about it. My mother SHOULD have been invited to retest in about 3 months and a sharp eye should have been on that. Fast forward in time...my mother BLACKED OUT DUE TO LOW SODIUM LEVELS AND A UTI and suffered a concussion. Yes! I blame her. I do! I also brought my mother in to get 3-5 stitches taken out above her eye. The PA said she did not feel comfortable doing it. This was after yammering about her childhood and her mother and father and daughters for the entire appointment. I got her away from that fraud but...I am not certain of the present experiences either. Staff...I have encountered 2 staff members worth anything there. Communication....poor. The portal works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't . Their computers are always crashing. I had the worst time getting anyone to take her blood pressure seriously at all. You can never get a straight answer out of some of these so called medical professionals. I could go on and on and on but I am just too disgusted with the entire outfit. My mother hates change though. I suppose she likes rewarding bad behavior. I on the other hand...DO NOT. If you want that vibe that makes you feel as if you are getting a physical right outside of Port Authority...go here. If not...stay away. I hate leaving this review here. I do. It is the truth though,and I feel and think that I must speak up. This is the Jiffy Lube of medicine and YOU ARE NOT A CAR.

In the portal I listed 3 things I would like to discuss. When I arrived the doctor stated that I would have to make 2 additional appointments to address my concerns because she had other patients and needed to see them too. She didn't even look at my chart to see that I had just given birth. I complained about a mass growing and she examined me and stated that she couldn't feel anything so she couldn't refer me to anyone. I also asked her for some medications but she refused to prescribe me anything and stated again that I would need to make another appointment. I left the office with a $400 doctor bill despite the fact that she was rude, dismissive, and unprepared. I then received a call several weeks later from a clinic about an ultrasound for a mass, come to find out she referred me to the wrong doctor who specialized in abnormal growths related to the throat and my mass was located in a different part of my body. In addition, because you see a physician, not an NP, a lot of stuff that would normally be referred out to specialists can be handled in-house. And both doctors are excellent sources of information for medically complex patients, like my spouse. Office staff is wonderful, and I just cannot say enough good things about this practice.

They have a children's practice as well, which I am highly considering switching to as I can see it being easy to schedule sick and well visits, get doctors notes, etc. My company used to pay One Medical Group as a benefit but it is so good that I continue to pay out of pocket. I am so glad that Amazon has purchased the company to make this type of quality health care more accessible for all.

Even better, my wait time was only about 10 minutes to get that lab work. And I checked the app ahead of time to figure out lower volume times to visit--yay, technology! My lab tech kept me smiling through the short appointment and let me know when I could look for results through the app or from my primary care provider. All together, this is an excellent practice and well worth the annual fee.
