Stay away from this clinic if you do not want to experience talking to unprofessional and rudest receptionist. I was looking for PCP for my children in Bethesda area and found this clinic on Yelp with "good" reviews comment and I straight called their number to see whether the doctor is still receiving new patients and the answer was Yes. However, when I tried to make an well visit appointment on NEXT DAY, the receptionist said that they are not receiving any patients! AND SHE TURNED OFF my call right away making me feel like I was wasting her time answering my call! Dr. Hall might be an excellent pediatrician but never wanna receive this awful experience anymore here. read more

We LOVE Dr. Hall and her staff. We recently moved a half hour away, but decided to keep our kids at this practice because we love it so much. Dr. Hall is responsive, reasonable, and realistic. If you need to have something checked out, she tells you. If not, she tells you that too. She's a mom too, and understands what's realistic and what's not. Her nurse, Rosa, is amazing with kids. Dr. Hall has been one of the best/easiest things to happen to us since having our baby. Appointments are easy to schedule, and readily available. She is very calming and not an alarmist at all, which as an anxious new parent, I appreciate. I literally texted her pictures of my baby on the Fourth of July, panicking that something was wrong, and she texted me right back. We recently went skiing on vacation and after a series of weather related flight cancellations, had to fly a different airline home than we flew out, and needed shot records to get our baby on the plane. We didn't have any, since the airline we flew out didn't require them. I texted Dr. Hall (again... what's wrong with me?!) on a Sunday, and she texted and emailed me shot records to help get us home and made a trip that was already super stressful, a little less disastrous. There have been a few times where Dr. Hall was out of the office and we saw Kathy McCue, a Nurse RN. We don't mind at all, because Kathy is super nice and seems completely competent. Maybe if our baby was sick, or something was wrong, it would bother us, but for our circumstances, it was acceptable. My husband and my parents and I are always talking about how amazing Dr. Hall's practice is, and I've referred one family to them, but I always wish I could brag about her more. Then I remembered I have Yelp and that's exactly what it's for, haha. So many things about having a baby are emotionally/financially/physically awful and stressful. We are so grateful that dealing with our baby's health isn't one of them. read more

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Leila Hall and her incredible team. From her mom who helps you schedule appointments-to nurse Rosa...everyone is incredibly warm and welcoming during a stressful time. Dr. Hall responds to all of my texted questions - even after hours and on holidays. She is consistently there to calm my fears and concerns whether it be over text, on the phone, or in person. She always takes the time to answer all questions at appointments. I never feel rushed or like I am "just another patient." I highly recommend Next Generation Pediatrics. Must read if you are considering Dr. Hall. This is the first review I've ever written about anything. This matters. My family has been with Dr. Hall since 2011. I have four children. One has been her patient since he was two. The other three have been with her since birth. I loved her. She comes across as sweetness and light and I would have agreed with the great reviews on here. There were always some issues, but I let them go because nothing is perfect. But I feel that you must all know how she treats children who have been her patients since birth. She fired them last week with this text. "Thank you for reaching out, and I understand that out protocols and availability no longer meet your pediatric needs. We will not plan to see you for well care or vaccines next week. Please let us know how to assist with records transfer by written request." After nine years. No conversation. No warning. No nothing. I haven't even told my children yet. My daughter pretends to be Dr. Hall in her play. It is very sad. I would never have believed someone could do this to kids they cared about. Immediately prior to receiving this text, I made appointments with her mother (who runs the appointment line and also comes across as sweetness and light). She told me of their new policy of only having appointments for two children at a time. I have a homeschooled eleven-year-old. She refused to let him come and sit in the waiting room while the little two had their appointment. He does a lot of waiting in the waiting rooms with his books and isn't a problem. The conversation started with a lot of judgement on her end about the fact that I hadn't been in the office in a year, which I will explain later if you read farther, and so by this point I was feeling judged, bullied, and frustrated. I said, "This is sad. You guys used to be so family friendly." To which she replied that they still were. I said that I knew other parents had left the practice because they felt that way (which is very true!). She said they were just trying to provide the best care for every child. I said I understood, and we continued the scheduling attempts in an amicable (on my part) fashion as I tried to think my way around school drop off and pickups for my other son and how and when I could get child care. Then, I realized I was late to pick up my child and had to get the littles in the car. I explained this and that I'd have to call back to do the rest of the appointments. And then I received the above text. Her behavior confirmed the complaints the other parents had about lack of warmth and caring. But I still sent her a text thanking her or everything she's done for our family and that I never would have believed she would do something like this. You don't even want to know my husband's response to her behavior. We wonder what happened? Why did no one maturely check for miscommunication, or have a conversation or anything at all. Did her mother (who is older) understand what was happening? Is it about money? Was she waiting for years to push me out for whatever reason? Did her ego just take over and have an angry reaction to the feedback? Why were they so judgemental about missing the appointments? If you choose to go with her practice make sure you do not speak up about anything or you will get fired. Make sure you go to all of your appointments on time. In this final call, I received judgement and scolding for missing my fourth baby's 18 month, 2 year, and 2.5 year appointments. He had his 15 month. I didn't know he had to have an 18 month. He is just 2.5 now this month! I explained that my husband lost his job and we didn't have health insurance for his 2 year appointment. I was trying to make appointments for all the kids for well care and flu shots as soon as we had it. I received no compassion or grace. You can make your own choice about whether or not this is a caring and family friendly practice. But if you choose her. Here are some tips from my nine years with her: Keep your own records. They almost double vaccinated my baby, telling me she didn't get one she had previously received. Dr. Hall's response: no apology-- "It's not like it really matters." You may have to move on your own in emergencies. While she can sometimes be right on the ball, she has other moments as well. My 3 week old had an emergency. I called her and then texted "baby not breathing, gasping for air, turning purple." We called 911 and went to the hospital in an ambulance. He was admitted. She texted back hours later: "Saline Spray?" There are more, but I think that is enough for you to succeed with her. Thank you for reading this sad story. I would agree with the reviews already posted. Dr. Hall has been our kids' pediatrician since we had a terrible experience with a prior one. She is amazing - super smart, up to date, accessible by phone. Sometimes I will simply send her pictures and a text asking if some allergic rxn or symptom is something I should come in for, and she resolves it over the phone without a fee. She is wonderful and I love her mom when she is at the front desk. Note that if you go in for tests, you may get the nurse practitioner, but they always tell you so you can refuse if you want Dr. Hall. The nurse has been great so far, gave me some good practical advice about my son's allergies, so we saved ourselves a bunch of unnecessary allergy testing. read more

We moved from DC a few months ago, and I can honestly say one of the things I miss most is Dr. Hall's office. Dr. Hall's office consists of a fantastic nurse (Rosa, who is one of the kindest and most empathetic folks I have ever met), two amazing nurses (we would often see the nurses because Dr. Hall's schedule tends to book up quickly for well baby visits, and the two nurses are just FANTASTIC - so smart, so experienced, so filled with good advice for all things baby related), and Dr. Hall. Dr. Hall is on call all day. Let me say that again. You can call Dr. Hall at 2AM on a Saturday night in a panic because something isn't right with your baby and you will get Dr. Hall who will walk you through what to do. For lesser issues, you can text Dr. Hall and say "Hey, baby's diaper rash persists. What do you recommend?" For new parents, this is HUGE. If you are soon-to-be new parents looking for a great pediatrician in NW DC/Montgomery County, Next Gen is the place. read more

Dr. Hall is amazing! We have been going to her office for more than four years and she has been taking care of both of our kids, the younger one from birth. Dr. Hall is super responsive. She responds to texted questions even during weekends and holidays. In multiple instances, she has relieved my fears and concerns with a quick and very useful response, and has consequently saved our family times and vacations. Other doctors may say "I know what's it's like being a mom ..." - Dr. Hall has never SAID that. However, that exact sentiment is reflected in the way she conducts her practice, in her responsiveness, realistic approaches, reasonable suggestions and consistent understanding of a working mom's challenges. Her office is a pleasure to deal with. The nurse Rosa is fantastic - my kids like her even after getting shots from her! Appointments are often scheduled through Dr. Hall's mom, who is also super responsive on the texts and by phone, and makes scheduling an easy process. Dr. Hall is really the ideal combination of an old fashioned approach that makes each patient (and their parents!) feel a personal connection, and a best use of today's technology that eases the logistics of communication, appointments and payments. read more

Since I work in downtown Bethesda, I decided to walk in the office to make the appointment on behalf of my sister! The person at the front - I think she's related to Dr. Hall - made the appointment without any problem. The problem started when I called the day before the scheduled appointment to confirm. The person who answered the phone was EXTREMELY rude; she kept interrupting me to tell me there's no appointment scheduled! When I tried to remind her that I stopped by the office to schedule the appointment; she said: "We only see patients who have health insurance!" I replied "My sister will pay cash and in advance" I also added that the reason she doesn't have insurance because they live in Doha and they're just visiting the U.S., she replied: "well, this is a private business and we decide whom to see!!" then she hang up! I called back to find out why she hang up before we finish our phone conversation but unfortunately she was not willing to speak to me. My point is if they only see patients who have health insurance why they didn't tell me that when I made the appointment!! My experience with Next Generation Pediatrics was one of the worst experience I have had. They really made me feel that they see certain patients and not ALL people are welcome! read more

We have loved this practice since we started going a couple of years ago. Everyone has always been so accommodating and kind. Dr. Hall personally calls back very quickly when we have a concern about our child and gives very good advice. Her mom is typically the person who makes appointments and she is always very friendly and efficient. Rosa is their wonderful nurse who quickly gives immunizations, and then both nurse practitioners are fabulous as well. Kathy has a great sense of humor, is extremely knowledgeable and is also an amazing lactation consultant. We've always felt that our child comes first here and that he's receiving the best care available. This isn't a big practice where you get shuffled around...it's like a small awesome family. We tried two other practices early on and felt like we got lost in the shuffle...Next Gen Pediatrics is by far the best pediatric group in Mo.Co. Our family highly recommends them. read more

Worst experience ever. If you are looking for a doctor with whom you cannot share your concerns because of her "my way or highway" approach, look no more. I called them to schedule an appointment for my newborn and everything was going smoothly until the receptionist (who also happens to be the very proud mother of Dr. Hall) asked me whether my baby had received Hep B shot at the hospital. When I said no because I was told at the hospital to wait with the shot until the baby has her first doctor's appointment, the receptionist immediately changed her tone, told me they couldn't accept my baby as a patient because I refused to have her immunized and her daughter is a "big shot" at the doctors community and can't take that risk! This was utter nonsense because the reason why I wanted to take my baby to a pediatrician in the first place was for her to get that shot. Alas, the receptionist knew better and wouldn't listen - she simply... hung up on me! So very rude. Spare yourself this treatment and take your little one to a doctor with whom you will actually be able to have a normal conversation. This practice is run by an ignorant stuck up receptionist sadly who doesn't care about the little patients and knows better than you. read more
