Dr Coleman's office has been the best doctors office we have ever used when we relocated to Rockville around 10 years ago everyone recommended Coleman pediatrics and I can honestly say that it was one of the best decisions I ever made. His team is super professional and friendly. I highly recommend Coleman pediatrics as your child's pediatrician

Do you know how great Dr. Hirsch is?…read more He's so great, that before I relocated back to Maryland, I was planning on flying in from Michigan every 3-6 months for my son's regular wellness checkups. Dr. Hirsch was recommended to me by my ob-gyn when I was pregnant, and he was my son's first pediatrician. After my family moved to Michigan, I found another practice, figuring doctors were all pretty much the same. NOT! Dr. Hirsch is always patient and happy to answer any questions I have, and he always gives out handouts with USEFUL information, like how to deal with childhood illnesses (you don't need to rush to the doctor's every time!), sleeping habits, potty training, and ibuprofen/acetaminophen dosing. He also makes all this information available on his website, and in multiple languages, which is useful at 3AM. I also appreciate that he makes himself easily available through email, and that he is very proactive about developmental screening. With Dr. Hirsch, I feel very confident about the care I receive from him. He obviously takes great care in keeping up with the latest developments in the medical field and is up-to-date with his information, which was not something I found with my previous practice in Michigan. I also appreciate his staff -- his nurse is sweet and great with shots (so speedy!) and his front desk has always been a pleasure to deal with. There is rarely much of a wait at his office, and his exam rooms are interesting and adorable. He clearly takes a lot of pride in his practice, and it shows in the way his business is run. Honestly, if he hadn't agreed to take my son back into his practice after we moved back, I probably would have had another baby just to make sure Dr. Hirsch would take us as patients. (He's very popular for a reason!)

My family has been visiting Potomac pediatrics since early 2025, and we've been thrilled with the…read moreexperience. The appointments are always helpful, and the ability to use POP Now for pediatric urgent care is SO helpful. I've used the nurse advice line a few times and the team calls back right away. Their non covered services fee is a detractor to some families, but it makes sense to us and we are happy to pay it to get the access to non-billable services that help our family get the care we need, whenever we need it. We are happy to be patients here!

I took my kids here a while back, and this review is long overdue. When we first started, I had…read morethree young children, and the "non-covered service" fee was $35 per child. I stayed because I liked one of the doctors, but after she left, I remained longer than I should have. Over the years, this fee increased steadily. At first, one of the justifications for the fee was "hazardous removal service," but that explanation later disappeared from their list of reasons. Even when my children were too young for school forms, they still wanted to charge me. If I were to attend today, that same fee would cost me $295. Beyond the excessive fees, I never felt that any doctor truly cared about my children. It often seemed like they were treated as just another number. To be fair, I left this practice over seven years ago, so perhaps things have changed. But based on my experience, I'm glad I decided to move on.

Recently, I also started bringing my infant here, and I feel comfortable overall. However, I wanted to share a couple of concerns I have. One is about hand hygiene; I've noticed that hands aren't sanitized in the room before examinations. When I mentioned this, the assistant explained they wash their hands outside and then touch the doorknob, which makes me worry about cleanliness. There's hand sanitizer available in the room--using it would be a simple way to improve. My other concern is related to privacy during training sessions. When new tech or assistants are being trained, they sometimes bring in another person without asking for permission or introducing them, which could be a privacy issue under HIPAA. I hope these small adjustments can help make the experience even better for everyone.

We've seen Dr. Uliassi who is super nice and very thorough. I was prepared for a meltdown during our first visit but Dr Uliassi made my daughter feel totally comfortable. We got through the visit with no tears even though she had to take two shots. However, unlike the small practice we were used to, we don't always get to see Dr Uliassi when we go to this office. On a sick visit we saw a nurse practitioner on staff and she was very knowledgeable and really took the time to exam my child and answered all my questions. So far I'm really impressed by the medical staff. The administrative staff however is another story. They're not rude but they're not exactly friendly either. I can put up with the attitude as long as the excellent level of medical care continues. Our previous pediatrician also never charged to fill out health forms but I think here they charge $15(?) I understand for bigger offices they usually charge for forms but still. It also took almost two weeks to get the forms back so if you need it for school/camp enrollment make sure you ask for it in advance. Also the office is in a big office complex. Parking is ample but you do have to pay. I think it's $1 for an hour and $3 for 2-4 hour on weekdays. I believe it's free during the weekend.

However the organization, responsiveness and atmosphere is truly sub-standard. As many others said here, staff, especially the nurses and admin are rude, and do not return calls. Getting a school form or a referral is a major production requiring several weeks and several calls, patient portal submissions, leaving messages that never get answered. I always get an unpleasant feeling dealing with this office and try to limit my interaction to a basic minimum. I do not like changing doctors' offices but here there seems to be a strong case for that.
