When I mentioned this, the assistant explained they wash their hands outside and then touch the doorknob, which makes me worry about cleanliness. There's hand sanitizer available in the room--using it would be a simple way to improve. My other concern is related to privacy during training sessions. When new tech or assistants are being trained, they sometimes bring in another person without asking for permission or introducing them, which could be a privacy issue under HIPAA. I had multiple interactions with the office (calls, in-person, and email), and at no point did their medical assistant, Casey, or anyone else mention a cost or price increase. Patients should not be expected to pay fees that were never disclosed or agreed to. This experience wasn't about the money--it's about transparency, communication, and quality of care.
