They have done multiple repairs for us, which culminated in us eventually needing a new unit (only when it was impossible to fix - they did a lot of repair work on our older unit before recommending a new one). All handled professionally, quickly, and with care. Recently, we had an issue where the line gave out (50 years of sediment under your house will do that). The fix was not within their capacity, so they referred me to some excellent colleagues who were able to repair the issue for me. I so appreciate their honesty and integrity and will continue to go to them with any of my AC needs. Highly recommend!

First I want to say I have never seen a business, of any kind, with five star reviews across all…read morethe major platforms (Yelp, Google, Facebook). Our air conditioned decided it wanted to stop working this past June, in the hottest June in record. Originally we had a family member who is an AC guy give us some fixes but they just didn't work and finally after 2 miserable weeks I looked for a professional company. I came across B&L and was bowled over by the stunning reviews. I called just before they opened and the owner Fabian called back right away. He came over that very same morning and checked out our situation and advised on options. He was no nonsense and I appreciate that because I despise the bs tactics that some people use. He was upfront and said they weren't the cheapest but weren't the most expensive. We went with a whole new system because ours was already 13 years old and was a 2 ton and we should have a 2.5. I liked the warranty and they had excellent finance options. Fabian gave us a realistic schedule date and they even loaned us a portable unit while we waited for the install. Dara was excellent and so so nice when she came to the house to drop off the unit and have me sign the contract. Every time I texted she was quick and friendly with responses. Steve and Kyle came out on time on the scheduled install date and were done the same date. They did excellent work and cleaned up after themselves. When we kept hearing a weird humming that started driving us crazy they came back out and inspected and we're able to solve the issue which was very much appreciated. Don't get me wrong, new systems are expensive and I know not everyone can afford them but I am betting that the repair work for this company is just as good as new installs. These are the type of businesses my husband and I prefer to work with. Family owned who really care about their customers and their work quality. I highly recommend and will not look anywhere else if we have any future issues. I'm including some pics of our old set up and the excellent new set up.

We had Reid Heating & Air out for a second opinion after a less-than-great experience elsewhere,…read moreand I'm genuinely glad we did. They were professional, calm, and focused on diagnostics instead of fear or sales pressure. They took the time to actually explain what they were seeing, confirmed that our systems are operating properly, and helped us understand what maintenance made sense versus what absolutely did not need replacing. That reassurance alone will save us thousands, and it was backed up with clear reasoning -- not vague "end-of-life" talk. It was refreshing to deal with a company that treats homeowners with respect and assumes you want facts, not a pitch. We felt listened to, not rushed, and not talked down to. Highly recommend Reid Heating & Air if you want an honest second opinion and professionals who still believe in doing the job the right way.

The tech looked at every thing and said I had a leak in my condenser unit coil. He could "hear it". So I asked if it was fixable. So I knew it was BS and they just wanted to sell me a new unit. So to get another view I called American air and heat. Someone I know purchased their AC system from Ameritech. On the side of the AC Handler, they placed…read morea sticker with a graphic that says "AMERITECH. REPAIR IT. REPLACE IT. MAINTAIN IT." Do not be fooled. When their AC went out on a Saturday night, they sent a technician the next afternoon to fix it. Over the course of a four hour service call, the technician identified that the circuit board, and OEM product from Japan, would be needed in order to get the system back online. By the way, it was July in Florida. The company maintained that the circuitboard would not be available in the near future, and that the customer should call back in two weeks to check status. Again, July in Florida - with no air conditioning. Miraculously the part arrived six days after the original failure, and a technician was dispatched 48 hours later (no right away - 2 full days later) to install and complete repair. A different technician arrived this time, Alex. Alex opened up the AC Handler and within 10 MINUTES found that a fuse was bad and needed replaced. THAT'S IT! No circuit board was needed after all. Ameritech did not take responsibility for the error and charged over $400 for labor for the ordeal. ''Nevermind that the customer's system was misdiagnosed entirely, made to wait in the Florida heat inside their home, which exceeded temperatures of 85º inside with humidity. Alex is a great AC tech, no doubt about it. But Ameritech should have some degree of ethical standards, which they clearly have not shown in this case.

The first time was during the cold spell in December so we had no heat. They came out and a few technicians looked at it and said it was an electrical issue (despite them checking the electrical panel when they installed the units). We had a new electrical panel installed. It worked for a while. Then in July 2023, the system shut off again. Their technician arrived out and said we needed to flush the system as water was backed up and charged us $325 for this. Now this week (Aug 2023) it has gone once more. We have a call into them to once AGAIN have them look at it but having your AC go ONCE AGAIN during Florida summers is unacceptable. At this stage we think that they installed a dud unit as three failures within the first 9 months is ridiculous. It seems that they'll promise the world when selling you a product but can't seem to install a reliable system. If I knew then what I know now, I'd go with another company. Bob is a smooth salesman but for us, their reliability speaks volumes. Update-08-20-2023 Ameritech installed the base platform for the units, this base is now sagging in the center and the units are not draining correctly. They're telling us that this is not covered by their warranty which is mind-blowing as they did all the work! They sent a technician out with four 6 inch plastic shims as if that can raise the attached units! Quite laughable if it wasn't so frustrating!

I've been using Autumn since 2022. Back in the day, I had a drain line blockage. They came here,…read morecleaned it out, and it's good to go. They charged me 99.95 dollars for everything. In 2023, charged me 99.95, also talked me into installing a "high quality" capacitor for 152 dollars and I accepted it. In 2024, cost 99.95, also talked me into installing a "drain pan treatment strip" for 35 dollars, which should help with the drain blockage issue. I accepted it. All those years were pretty much the same thing, drain line clean for a fee of around 100 dollars. Guys back then were nice, professional, courteous and tidy. I hired them again this year, terrible decision. I called them on Friday, asking to have the same service. During the call, I mentioned that my drain line is blocked again, and I need it cleaned. I did not ask for anything else, and specifically asked to just clean the drain line and I mentioned I was a repeat customer. The guy sounded nice and said he could come out the next day between 9 and 11 AM, and said "there will be a FEE of 80 dollars, is that OK?" I was decently surprised since it's next-day service and it's slightly cheaper than what I paid before. Since it's around the same ballpark I thought maybe there's some sort of old customer discount or promotions etc. So I didn't question much and booked the appointment. Next day I was gone, my wife was at home. The technician was rife with cigarettes smell. My wife couldn't be near him. He showed no respect for our house, walking in and out with his dirty boots. This is unacceptable. I am not asking him to take off his shoes, but have some shoe covers ready. My wife had to spend the next few hours cleaning up all the stains air out the cigarette smell with our HEPA filter. I cannot believe the disrespect. If I were at home, and you showed up to my house like that, you are out and done. The technician did the job to clean the drain line. And the up-charge started. Said capacitor was slightly out of spec. Again, this is supposed to be a "high-end" capacitor that YOUR company installed 3 years ago, and promised us this will last at least 5 years. Then said we need to install this "hard start kit". Nope not gonna do it. We do not fix things that are not broken. Don't tell customers something is a requirement when it's not. The bill? 79.95 for the service call, 185 for drain pan clear out+treatment strip, 3% electronic transaction fee, 40 for weekend (this was subsequently waived) for a total of 272.90 for a drain line cleaning. Are you out of your mind? So I called the owner. He said the FEE of 80 is just a come-out fee, and anything else will be on top of that. I've used them for 4 years and they never mentioned an additional fee of 185 to just clean the drain line. He said it's just industry standard. The fact that he's already not charging me the 40-dollar weekend fee is already going above and beyond. EXCUSE ME??? What industry standard? Whose standard? If you told me it's 80 dollars just to come out, I would definitely not choose them. I have another guy who has flat-rate drain line cleaning that I could go with, just not next-day. This isn't a call for diagnosis, this is just drain line cleaning, just like the past 4 years. Look at the top of my post for their previous price/charge. We've never paid more than 100 something dollars for a simple drain line clean. 185 to clear the drain line ON TOP of 80 dollars COME OUT FEE is out of this planet level of stupid. On their website, one service is FULL SERVICE MAINTENANCE for 99.95. Why don't you hook me up with this instead? You've done that before. Why bait-and-switch? Are you trying to rob your customers? I said this is unfortunate to the owner and he said no this is not unfortunate this is how it works or they cannot stay in business. No accountability, no integrity/honesty, no clear communication. Years of trust and understanding mean nothing to them. I wished him a good day, and this will be my absolutely last time ever to deal with them again. Go ahead and type in all CAPS because apparently that's the professional way to talk back on the Internet. People, please select the lowest reviews option to see the different voices. Check out Yelp reviews as well. You have disrespected my house, trust, and my emotions and money, and I will happily give my money and business to a competitor. Good luck with your "industry standard". If you are not willing to do your job right, someone else will. Those who do not respect their trade will not get the proper respect back.

No explanation of any additional fees, nor what the $80 entailed. Just that it was $80 for them to come out and provide this service. Husband goes to work, and I'm left to observe and pay for the service. The technician that came out REEKED of cigarettes. Considering it wasn't even noon yet I was rather surprised but let him in. He proceeded to not wear shoe coverings nor offer to take off his shoes in my house. He wasn't exactly wearing clean clothes and definitely not clean outdoor shoes. He then explained to me that the TOTAL cost of the service would be $185. It sounded a little high to me, but I agreed and he began the service. I watched in disgust as he walked in and out of my house onto the wet grass and then on my white carpet. During which he tried to upsell me no less than 4 times. Twice on a new part for the AC, (which was 0.5%) out of spec, once on a "heart start" kit for my AC that for some reason was suddenly on its last legs even though it was fixed within less then an hour. (Again, he only flushed the system.) And lastly saying that we should be doing 2x as much maintenance. (We've had our house for years, we know how long it takes before it needs to be flushed.) So after all that... the bill. $275. For what? $185 to flush the system, $80 just to come over, and the rest for some BS excuses. I was seriously confused and I should have fought with him there. He took advantage of the fact my husband wasn't home to run my wallet dry. When I chatted with my husband after the fact, I learned he was only quoted $80. So of course my husband calls the owner. Owner then berates us for "not knowing the industry standard pricing, and that we should be grateful we didn't get charged weekend pricing." Are you kidding me? Who outside of people working HVAC would know that? Why are you guys being vague about your prices then blaming customers when you up charge them x3 the original price? You are straight up scamming people and preying on them trusting what you say, not to mention conveniently hiding the true price. Don't ask, don't tell, right? I'll tell you what, I'll NEVER let myself be scammed by such horrible business practices again. You give a bad name to the HVAC industry. You should be ashamed!
