We found this spot because we were looking for a casual place to have dinner by the lake. To start, the views of the lake inside the bar area of this place are awesome. The staff members were also super friendly and very attentive to us - we were seated right away, ordered less than 20 mins later, and food was brought out asap. Excellent cocktails, great bartenders, lovely view, and tasty bar food. We came here for lunch on a Saturday and sat at the crowded bar. I loved my margarita, and the bartender was always making sure we were taken care of. The food portions are excellent in true Wisconsin style. We got the wings with the 3 alarm sauce (like a standard buffalo sauce), which were a nice big portion and tasty. The spinach and artichoke dip with pita was a smaller dip portion but plenty of crispy Parmesan pita. I also got the ceasar salad with salmon, and this was a big portion with delicious fresh veggies. My parents and I stopped in for some quick drinks after our boat day was rained out. First of all... the view of Lake Como is SO nice. My parents ordered cocktails but I was more in the mood for a sweet treat, so I tried one of their milkshakes--what an unexpected menu item! They also have boozy milkshakes on the menu which I may have to try next time. Finally, the service was good considering how busy it was with everyone else who was there to get out of the rain. Just a warning to do not order pizza well done. The crust was half black. I just wanted a browning on the cheese, not a burnt pizza.

Ideal location - within walking distance of our rental. Nice atmosphere, friendly service, good food. The pizza was way bretter than we expected. Fish fry was also really good. Nice drink selection, great views. We really enjoyed this place and will return. read more

Just as good of food as the other next door pub. Kinda sad they got rid of the " drunken tots" but they still have several good appetizers to choose from. The best pizza around. The staff is friendly and to the point. They do tend to kinda rush you outta there, but it's always busy so I get it. We've been here a few times and the food has been good and the service was fine. Today, we came for lunch and were the first ones seated in the dining room. We placed our order. A few other groups came in. Just about everyone was getting great service and receiving food but we were being completely ignored. We waited 40 minutes and my husband walked up to the server/host and politely told him that he hadn't even gotten his dinner salad yet. No apology. He went into the back and then a different server brought him his salad. We waited another 15 minutes with no acknowledgment and my husband flagged down the server and asked for the check for our drinks and dinner salad. He went in the back, then came out and said that if we didn't want anything else we could just go. No "sorry about this, folks" and no concern at all. We suspect that he never put our order in. Restaurants can make mistakes and people can make mistakes. It's all on how you handle it. I'm glad that we weren't charged but his attitude is the difference between forgiveness and losing customers forever. This was one of the poorest experiences we've ever had at a restaurant that screwed up. read more

Group of 5 adults and and a 4yr old and a 2 yr old. Told 30 min max wait. I overheard Hostess wanting to push 2 tables together after 40 minutes and at least 25 people seated ahead of us. Charlie- Mgr would not allow that so we waited 70 minutes only to watch 2 other tables pushed together for us. Staff all working very hard and the food was very good. Thanks for ruining our night Charlie. Were we not dressed nice enough? Did we not complain enough? Perhaps we were too tall and you were intimidated by us. Would It help if we wore gold chains and looked mobbed up? Please help me understand how an owner let's a manager ruin an otherwise great experience. 5 star review is only 1 bad decision away. We gave this place three chances and they struck out on all of them. The atmosphere is great. Wonderful lake views and newer, clean building. The staff is friendly and not the problem. We traveled in on a Friday after checking the menu out on their website. When we arrived we were informed that several items on the menu were unavailable because of the fish fry. THIS IS NOT MENTIONED ON THEIR WEBSITE! Some of the people in our group do not eat fish and drove in specifically for their Italian options which were unavailable. Our salads were wilted and the cocktails were very small and light on the booze. I had two old fashioned and didn't feel even the slightest buzz. The fish fry was simply bad. All the breading came off the fish which tasted as though it came from a freezer at Piggly Wiggly. This new branch of Next Door Pub is not on the same level of quality as the original in downtown. As a local, I want this place to be good but it just isn't . If you are thinking of visiting to avoid downtown LG or Delavan you may want to reconsider. read more

Have been here 5 times now. The service has been very good even when they are busy. I am always surprised about the food. Everything I have had has always been great and the surprisingly fresh for pub food. They used to have the best ravioli too, but they are no longer on the menu. :( Be great of they brought those back! :) read more

Liked this place although the bar tender wasn't nice. The salad I had was fresh and delicious. I'm not sure if an addition is going on or if the construction is for the kitchen. I do hope they improve the stairway entrance since it's not handicapped accessible. read more
