Billing is also diligent which I appreciate. I recommend LBF without hesitation. The less stellar reviews are from some time ago - feel free to speak to LBF about them. I was apprehensive at first but once they explained how things can work on yelp and that they learn as they strive to improve their services, I went ahead with them and have no regrets.

An estimator came out to assess the floors and I explained my expectations regarding the color of the stain I would like for my floors. I was recommended to pay the additional $200 to receive water based sealant. The day the floors were sanded I called LB and stated that I had concerns with the color of the floors after the first coat was applied. The estimator came back to my house and assured me that once the sealant was put on the floors would look better. On a positive note, the sanding job removed a good bit of scratches, however, after the last sealant coat was applied there was some bubbling. I was expecting a rich brown color and unfortunately, the color of the floors look inconsistent and not at all like I was expecting. I was also very surprised that minwax stain color was used. After doing online research, minwax is primarily used for diy projects. Duraseal is what professional flooring companies use and after looking at the LB fb page I saw that they also use Duraseal on some of their projects. Duraseal is considered the standard by professional flooring companies and according to the research, it absorbs more deeply and eveny into the wood resulting in a richer color. The estimator Zach never in his estimate said that minwax would be used. LB contract stated that a high quality stain would be applied. Duraseal was never offered to me as an option. I called LB to let them know of my concerns. I received a voicemail from Zach saying that they have used minwax for many years with no problems. I left a voicemail with Zach to follow up with me and never received a call back.

My husband and I made the decision to go ahead and redo everything and I'm so glad we did! The floors look beautiful! The crew was great too, just kind gentle men. We were given a price and the contract was signed that same day! The agent came the next week to measure her floor for the exact measurements and once Chris had the info he called back & the price did change by about $1k but still an excellent price! She put a deposit down when we first went there then paid the rest of invoice when they scheduled the installation. We don't know time frames for ordering products but it took over a month before she got another call to schedule the install. The installers came yesterday & were very professional & did a good job. They even matched up the molding coming into the kitchen & around cabinets and walls and it was perfect. It did take all day but overall great work and again the floor looks amazing.

The project took about 2-3 months due to black custom cabinetry which took 2 months to receive (attributed to COVID) or the project would've taken a month. The guys came in to provide a no pressure estimate and they weren't priced too high or low which is generally a good sign. I always avoid contractors who provide too cheap a price or shoot for the moon (#GME). All in all, I've asked them for an estimate on my bathrooms after being so impressed with their 1) responsiveness 2) craftsmanship 3) attention to details and lastly 4) honesty As one example, one part of the counter top install there was a slight ridge which the guys noticed. The sub contractors attempt to install countertops wasn't perfect and I could barely tell but Kelvin/Jose held the subcontractor responsible to replace the piece. They removed a wall which wasn't load bearing, but we decided to install a 23' beam to be safe. Installed cabinets, enclosed the refrigerator, moved the sink into the corner and added waterfall countertops to the entire "island" area. Pictures speak for their craftsmanship. Highly recommend Jose and Kelvin for you remodel needs!!

What I got was 4.75" on one end and only 3 1/2" on the other end. Even worse, they ran out of concrete for the walkway and ran out to Home Depot for bags of concrete to hand mix. I requested an extended warranty because the driveway was so thin on one end. 2 months after the warranty expired the front walkway started to crumble.
