This is absolutely the worst company we have ever dealt with! Their customer service is terrible…read more Their online account system is terrible. If you have a problem and call them, they say they have too many calls and not enough customer service reps, which is obvious after holding for over 30 minutes. After we moved, and prior to setting up the automatic drafts again, they sent our first bill on 9/27 and told us it was past due as of 9/21. Not to mention, it took them several days to get our service turned on at our new residence. When we moved, we had to set up a new account because I couldn't log on the online account to transfer service, and their password resets didn't work. They still have my security deposit from my old account after more than a year and a half and we've had to get the utilities commission involved. All payments were drafted from our account on the due date, and the final bill has been paid. They aren't denying they owe the deposit, they just won't send it. As if this isn't enough reasons to be frustrated with them, they once accidentally debited our account for $480, when the bill was $48. It took several days to get that straightened out. Needless to say, if I had a choice, I wouldn't use Atmos. If you're looking to rent or buy in the area, I strongly suggest you look for something that will prevent you from having to deal with this horrible company.

Have had service 3 months. Was signed up for phone in addition to internet which I did NOT want…read more Duplicate charges on bills, but have been able to get them removed (just a pain!!) Speeds are considerably slower than they should be, and price is outrageous but being in a new area it is on par with the local competition. Customer service is my main complaint. Called about no internet in October and woman was very short and almost rude. obviously not having a good day. Received an email that my email address had changed, and when i called back found she had modified it though it was not something we discussed or that she verified. They would not give me her name or let me speak to a manager to lodge a complaint. It has happened THREE TIMES now that a cs rep has butchered my personal info when making a call for tech support. Last time was Thursday, called and scheduled a tech to come out for recurring internet problems. Sat here Friday from 8am to 4:30pm,with no call with an eta. Called and found my phone number was changed, to an out of state area code? Had it corrected and have tried multiple times to speak to a manager or file a complaint. Received an email for a customer service survey, but the link was expired the same day I received the email. Have sent several emails back and forth through the website, with canned responses that do not have anything to do with my complaint. Finally received a call from Heather today and was told there is no way to see who I spoke to on a particular day and time, the system does not log who modifies a customers information, and was told that often cs reps do not even log against a customers account when you call in. She verified my account information and AGAIN found my email address had extra characters in it. (FOURTH TIME) So obviously when they modify the email address I stop getting notifications that something has changed in my account. Giving one star because I have to give at least one star. This is by far the most unprofessional company I have ever done business with. Zero accountability and no way to reach anyone but customer service. The only reason I have not switched providers yet is that I do not want to be tied to a contract. But as today I am looking...

This beautiful building was designed by James Gamble Rogers (who also designed several buildings on…read morethe Yale and Columbia University campuses) and was completed in 1909. It is in the neoclassical style and features a long portico topped by a cornice supported by massive Ionic columns. The courthouse is surrounded by multiple allegorical sculptures including "Justice" and "peace" and "Authority" and "Wisdom." The grounds are open and quite accessible to view from all angles. Metered street parking was available, but it's a Saturday morning. I would expect all of these spots to be busy during the week. There is a historical marker with more information, "Designed by Architect James Gamble Rogers and dedicated on January 1, 1910, the Shelby County Courthouse is the largest and most ornate in Tennessee. Quarterly Court Chairman James Hill Barret led the movement for the imposing structure with modern amenities. Upon approval of the project and issuance of $1,000,000 in bonds (later supplemented by an additional $500,000), he appointed N.C. Perkins to head the construction committee. Until 1966 this neo~classical building of blue Bedford limestone housed the executive and legislative chambers of Memphis and Shelby County governments, as well as state and local courts. Beginning in 1984 and utilizing taxes paid only by litigants, County Commissioner Charles Perkins directed an extensive, 8-year renovation that resulted in refurbished courtrooms and offices for Circuit, Probate, and Chancery Courts and the Civil Division of General Sessions Court. Many fine details were preserved and augmented, including mahogany doors and paneling, brass doorknobs embossed with the County seal, and walls, pilasters, and flooring comprised of seven varieties of marble." Bummer the building was closed today. [Review 19841 overall - 393 in Tennessee - 814 of 2023.]
