My husband agreed these and paid for a dry clean and for the hem to be put up. On getting the dress back there was a clear iron mark on the back of it. On returning it was denied that an iron had been anywhere near the dress. Latterly one of the ladies in the shop admitted that a trainee had worked on the dress but had been closely supervised. The impression my husband got was that they couldn't do anything to help and frankly they couldn't have cared less. Asked that we wait for the woman who took the dress in to be back at work. Given the intransigence experienced, there was no point to that. People in these jobs should care about people having a great service, they don't. Avoid this firm if you can. We certainly won't be back. Disgraceful service.

Since my first review (when I had only been a couple of times) I've had the need to go back to Stitch Express loads. Trousers adjusted, buttons replaced, dry cleaning, button holes made, shirts fixed; you name it, I've had it done. Every time I've been the service, quality and price has been impeccable with all alterations made well within the time promised. Often for smaller fixes and patch jobs they'll do them whilst you wait - who can complain about paying £1 to have a button replaced?! Good job this place exists or I'd look like a regular modern day ragamuffin. If you're on the Haymarket side of town and need some clothes adjust then make a bee line for Stitch Express. Or I'll punch you.

Luckily nobody will see it because of where it is but still, it wasn't there before. Also the first time I went to pick it up it was as if they didn't do anything to it. They said that there was a problem with the lining and fixed that (I hadn't noticed a problem with it) but I needed it taken in and it was still really big on me. I've ended up taking it in myself. Honestly don't go there. There's far better tailors in Edinburgh more expensive but worth it, especially of it's your wedding dress.

They could see I was in distress and were so lovely and comforting, and had the dress fixed within the day! I couldn't ask for any better. They also custom make curtains too, which is really useful for Edinburgh. The windows in some of Edinburgh's Newtown are ridiculously big, so they make all the curtains there for you! Today, half of the washing machines are out of action and 7 out of 10 of the dryers are out of action. It's a very frustrating situation for the staff and for non-commercial customers, and one which has been getting worse for some time. After the clothes were picked up, we received a call with the total price - a nice touch. We paid for washing and folding only. What we got was washing only as, I believe, no one could really describe our clean clothes as being folded. At best, they were flipped so the shirts and blouses took up less space, but wrinkled beyond belief. My shirts were so wrinkled that it appeared they were "folded" while still wet. They have never been this wrinkled before. Underwear was not folded at all. Socks were neither folded nor rolled. I expected to get a receipt detailing the cost, but there was none. All I know is that the delivery was £5 and the laundry was £28 total, with no breakdown as to how many kilos I was charged for. Would I use them again? Probably so, but only if I could not find another competitor near where I was staying
