Maybe this is the way things are going to be. I am currently looking for a new vet.

Still almost 2 months after the recovery period, our dog Buck is still quite lame and showing no improvement, despite a significant amount of exercise. We called and left a message for Dr Norton to call, because we wanted to update him on Bucks status. Over a week went by with no return call. We called again and the receptionist remembered our first call and left a 2nd note for Dr Norton to call us. After another week we called again and asked why he failed to return our previous calls. The receptionist went to see Dr Norton and he told her that Buck needed to have his miniscus surgically removed. ( this was without seeing Buck or speaking to us about the symptoms). She could not provide us with any further info. We asked her to please have Dr Norton call. Again no call from Dr. (quack) Norton This is pathetic and we would rate Dr Norton a O star if we could. How lazy, uncaring and pathestic can a Vet be?

I had to have my senior cat put down, and they were so cold and uncaring over the phone. The lady only wanted to talk about payment options before I could even schedule an appointment. You'd figure that's something you would handle after the fact. He was my best friend and he deserved so much better. Eight months later, my dog had a medical emergency in the middle of the night, so I called on the drive over to let them know I was coming as they're the only emergency vet in town. They confirmed someone was available to help. Yet when I got there, I stood outside ringing their doorbell for almost 20 minutes as my dog died in my arms. It broke my heart and I'll never forget that moment. Of course, they still charged me the $300 emergency fee on top of everything else. The prices are outrageous and the workers I've dealt with are uncaring. I understand that it's a business, but it's very apparent that making money off of you is their only priority. Please trust these reviews and explore literally every other option before you consider coming here.

So he was there with them all day and when I called and to check on him , the vet came to the phone herself, not just the tech. All day there, fluids, blood panels, antibiotics, the whole deal and the pricing was really fair I am happy to report! Plus the front desk women is super nice and helpful as was the tech, so if I didn't live 12hrs away I would have kept them as a regular!

Despite expressing these genuine concerns, the explanations provided felt very dismissive, and I was left with the impression that my observations about my pet's condition was not taken seriously. Adding to my disappointment was the unexpected bill for urgent care I received. I had asked for the soonest appointment availability, and after being told a same day slot had opened up after somebody had canceled their appointment, I proceeded with bringing my pet in. To my surprise, I was later charged with an urgent care fee, which was never discussed or agreed upon prior to the visit. This unexpected charge felt unfair, especially given the circumstances of how the appointment came to be. While I understand that veterinary practices can be busy, the lack of empathy and communication has led me to reconsider my choice of veterinary care. Unfortunately, I cannot confidently recommend their services to others.

Ive had so many rough experiences with veterinarian offices in the past, so i've staggered cautiously and carefully. Two Rivers eases all my trust issues - They take the time to explain everything to you, and I mean the TIME. In the past with other clinics- i've left visits super confused almost like I didn't absorb any of the information. Here, they go over options, talk over multiple scenarios and sources. Doctors here are super knowledgeable and resourceful and really nice and respectful! Nurses are gentle and patient, i'm just so pleased. Costs are super efficient as well as procedures. We have about 4 barn cats, 2 dogs and we were coming here almost every other week in October / November because either one had ear mites or the next cut their dew claw (doc saved me a 400$ dollar bill just sticking it up that afternoon w / o anesthesia cause my pup was willing) ... No matter what it was, they took care of it ASAP & w TLC. We love that!!!! Thank you Two Rivers for everything! We love you

I had a terrible experience with Dr Petersen at Two Rivers. Do not go there. It is a long story,…read morebut in short, I inherited my mom's 12 year old dog and took him in for a check up. Dr Petersen told me he had a heart murmur with only 1-3 months to live and to bring him back in January and he would put him down. I was devastated. Her dog became ill in early January so I thought "this is it" and took him in. Dr Petersen said "If you get the flu do you get out a gun and put it to your head?" "Death is permanent". He then wanted to run a bunch of diagnostics as to why the dog was ill. I declined the diagnostics and left in tears. HE told me to bring him in. I did not want to put him down! I called later to schedule my other dog and they told me I am no longer able to do any pet care there. I was shocked! Embarrassed! They totally judged me - and are out of line. Dr Petersen was heartless and rude. My mom's dog passed away last night from congestive heart failure with the kind support from Big Sky Animal Medical Center. GO THERE!

When I brought my 9 year old Cocker Spaniel "Coco" to K-Heart vet, I explained that recently a fox…read morehad been in our yard killing chickens. That fox was covered in mange. So, when Coco began scratching, losing hair, and developing dark crusty spots by her ear, I suspected she had caught mange from the fox. Dr. Manzer evaluated my dog and didn't think it was mange. She did a skin scrape from one spot on Coco's ear, but explained that there were other possibilities for Coco's symptoms and because Coco is geriatric, Dr. Manzer wanted to do blood work to rule out other issues. When the results were in from Coco's blood work, Dr. Manzer called me in the evening after studying, what she said was a very difficult case. There was indication that something was wrong with Coco's kidneys, but Dr. Manzer couldn't identify anything specific. She recommended changing her diet, suggesting that Coco might be allergic to what we had been feeding her. My heart broke, thinking that Coco had some strange health problem. What I assumed was mange, Dr. Manzer suggested was far worse. She told me to call back if I wanted to give Coco medication which would ease the itching. We let Coco back in the house, now that we weren't afraid to touch her. We changed her diet and started treating her like the old dog she suddenly appeared to be. But, as her symptoms worsened, she began losing hair in remarkable quantities. She had no appetite and was losing weight. I started reading about kidney problems and diseases associated with dogs, but nothing made sense. A couple weeks later, we decided to get a second opinion and brought Coco to Best Friends Animal Hospital, where they did multiple skin scrapes only to discover Sarcoptic Mange. However, because of the excessive scratching, Coco now had a secondary skin infection too. What was worse, they explained Sarcoptic Mange is transmittable to humans and because I am 8 months pregnant and have other small children, they recommended discussing it with our doctors. Plus, our entire house needed to be sterilized. Best Friends Animal Hospital explained that the Sarcoptic Mange Mite is often difficult to find. Which is why Dr. Manzer didn't discover it with only one scraping. However, Best Friends said that when a dog has all the symptoms of mange, even if they don't find the mite, which has a very low percentage rate of being discovered, since it is deep in the skin, they treat the dog for mange based on the symptoms. It was shortly after visiting Best Friends, that my family began developing bumps and itching everywhere. We are all suffering because of the ineptitude of Dr. Manzer. She spent plenty of time reading about the oddities in Coco's blood work, looking for a needle in a hay stack, while ignoring the obvious. I trusted her. Certainly, I don't think she was malevolent. She obviously really didn't know what was wrong with my dog. She probably won't know what is wrong with yours either. Even if you tell her.

We booked a different groomer this time, and right away she refused to groom my 50 lb shepherd mix--first because of shedding (which is exactly why we made the appointment), then claiming my 11-year-old dog was "too old." When I asked for a better explanation, the manager backed her up instead of addressing the issue. Meanwhile, my dachshund had already been taken back. When I picked her up--after paying a high price--it didn't look like she'd been properly bathed. She still had visible dander, smelled like she'd just been sprayed, and her feet weren't cleaned. It's hard to believe she received the full service. Before leaving, I saw my shepherd mix in the grooming area, calmly being combed on the table. Later, the manager told me she was "too difficult" and wouldn't allow grooming--even though she hadn't even been bathed. That didn't match what I witnessed. Between the poor service, lack of honesty, and overall treatment, I won't be returning. I'll be taking this complaint to upper management. I wouldn't trust this store or that groomer with my dogs.
