LOVING PET OWNERS BEWARE!!
I set my kitten up an appointment here to get front paws declawed, first shots, check up, & checked for ear mites. The secretary told me what to do, & when to bring him in. I told her exactly what I wanted done & that I'd be having my husband drop him off in the morning on his way to work, as he's in that area. The night before we were to drop him off, I wrote out a list of what I wanted done for our kitten, so my husband could just hand it to them. This list said: front claws done, check up, check for ear mites, & first shots. That was all. I also put his name, sex, age, & my info on his kennel. I do this with my dogs groomer & any of my animals that have to be dropped off so it's all right there & there's no question about what I want. My husband dropped my kitten off in the morning, & called me about 10 min after he was there, said he was filling out paperwork & she wanted to know if I wanted blood work drawn. I said no, & I asked if he handed her the list. He said yes he did, & while I was on the phone told her I just wanted what was on my list done. He then said they weighed him & they said he was 4mo old not 8wks. I said no he's only 8wks old he was just weaned from his mother. My husband told her this, & we hung up. Later that day about 4 hours after we dropped him off I received a call from the secretary. She said he was all done & I could pick him up tomorrow. I asked her how he was doing & how his paws were. She said he was doing great & that they went ahead & neutered him as well because he's 4mo old. I got very upset & said no he isn't 4mo old he's only 8wks old & regardless of his age I never asked for him to be neutered. I asked her if anything else was done and she said they gave him a rabies shot. (Again I didn't ask for that, as that isn't supposed to be done until he's older & isn't included in first round of shots.) I told her again that I didn't ask for either of those & don't understand why that was done. I asked if she received my list, she said she had, but continued to say that he was 4mo old. I told her I don't care how old he is, I didn't ask for either of those. At this point she paused & then said my husband said to get him neutered. I instantly knew this was a lie, as these are my animals & my husband lets me do all the decision making for my animals. & he had called me while he was there to ask about the blood being drawn & I said no only what's on the list is what needs to be done. And he told her that while I was on the phone. So I told her we would be there tomorrow to pick him up & that i would talk to my husband. So of course I talked to him & he was upset, he never said that & she never even brought up neutering while he was there. My husband & I agreed it would be best if he went in & talked to the secretary as she was saying it was him that agreed to getting him neutered. We had also discussed that maybe we would try & work with them & set up a payment plan on the neutering as we had planned on getting it done in the future anyways. Even though we were both upset about it, it shouldn't have been done, & the lying just made it worse, we wanted to try & be civil. So my husband went in to get my cat he told her he had never agreed to the rabies shot or being neutured. She had him talk to the vet, he told him what happened, but told him we were willing to make a payment plan on the neuturing because we planned on having it done in the future, but didn't have the money for it all right now. The vet agreed, my husband came out to the parking lot where I was, & told me what happened & what was said. He brought a paper with him of the payment plan for the neutering & it also included the rest of the payment that was due that day including the rabies shot. I told him not to sign it yet because I was told a specific price & it was much higher than that & I didn't want to pay for the rabies shot as I'm already paying $135 for a neutering I didn't ask for. So I told him to go ask the vet to check the price & to please take off the rabies shot & will sign it & make payments on the neutering. My husband went inside, 5 min later he called me & was very angry & said he tried to talk to him about taking off the $12 rabies shot & that the declawing price wasn't right. The vet got very mad & said & I quote "You know what, (he takes the bill crosses off neutering & rabies) there, now don't ever bring that Mother F***er back here!" He then walked out of the room to get my cat. My husband stood there shocked for a min walked out to the front to pay for our bill, grabbed our cat & left. When we got home we took our kitten outta his cage & immediately noticed almost all his whiskers were gone, weirdly shaped like they had been cut off randomly. I don't know what that was about or what happened but luckily he didn't get sick, he healed, & he's ok. I had him go to another vet where they confirmed he was only 8wks old! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! DO NOT TAKE UR ANIMALS HERE! read more
