The Vicksburg location is dirty and always out of things or messing up the order. Today I ordered the shrimp and avocado salad which was delivered without avocado. When I asked I was told he would try to find some and brought out some brown rotten scraps. My husband's salmon was inedible. Employees are rude. Don't waste your money. read more

every time I come there the workers are always on they phone. I hear cursing all throughout the store and how we the customers get on all they're nerve. they always mess up my food and get an attitude when I ask them to fix it. everytime I come here I see people eating food around all the customers i see cellphone everywhere. the sweet tastes like it doesn't get changed. the store always stinks. the service sucks they all handle everything with a fake smile and a be attitude. just go home if you don't want the job. no matter what shift I go on it's the same thing bad service and a bad attitude with talking about every customer that get on they're nerves. Even the GM talks about how customers get on his nerves the whole store does and it sad that all we hear is how they'll fight the customers if the got out of hand with the workers. I sat at the store a few times and saw an employee and manager walk to the smoke store and one of them smelled like weed and them manager looked high a few times I came to the store. No one greets you when you walk in. I have to wait a long time to get service and when I do there's an employee coming out of the restroom with a cellphone in their hands I see vape pen smoke on the floor I came In the restroom to an employee smoking a vape and couldn't be no older the 17 smoking a weed vape in the restroom. it's a shame that almost every employee is a little kid and there are few adults. they have one manager that looks like she's 18 she loud she curse all over store and talk about customers. I overheard her say one night these customers need to go home they do this every time I'm trying to go home I wanna smoke my man got my blunt rolled for me in the car y'all need to hurry up eat and go home I'm tire. the tables are nasty i have to ask for my table to be cleaned every time I come to the store. What a find! I wanted a salad after a week of rich food and my usual passing-through-Vicksburg restaurant is closed on Mondays. I gave Newk's a try because they're local. The Newk's Favorite is a great salad for ten bucks! Number one, it's huge, and number two, it has lots of great stuff in it. The chicken is thin-sliced, so it's not dry. Gorgonzola, artichoke hearts, walnuts, red grapes, and dried cranberries provide the perfect bitter-sweet combination, and the sherry vinaigrette brings it all together. I didn't quite know what to expect when I came here. The food was out-friggin-standing. I had a shrimp po-boy, and my wife had the Farmer's Market, which was all vegetarian. The grilled mushrooms on her sammich were some of the best mushrooms I've ever had in my life. Not up to Other Newk's locations standards. This location first of all needs all waiting staff, servers and clerks to take a class on how to smile and look customers in the eye. Borderline Rude and I heard profanity coming out of the kitchen as I walked in. Walked in at 11:00am, right off the bat Sticky floors in front of drink machine, no tongs for lemons, Iced tea scolding hot and they messed up my order but did fix it. I travel for work over 6 states and have eaten at over a dozen different Newks and eat at a Newk's weekly. Note that next time I will just drive further to Clinton, MS where service and atmosphere is superior. If your stuck eating in Vicksburg then this place is the best you can do unless you want a grease spoon or fried something. A Jason's Deli would be nice to have. This was a welcome lunch stop on a long, cold road trip. We walked in and the place was well lit and cheerful. You order from the counter, then find a seat and your food is brought out to you. Hubby and I both had salads, with fresh, crisp vegetables generously served. The dining room was clean, as were the restrooms. I've been to Newk's about 3 times. Every time I've ordered the pizza, but after seeing the size of the salad bowls that are quickly brought to the table by Newk's attentive staff, I may just have to try one. The pizza - fantastic. Add some jalapenos and some sauce at their toppings station and you'll fall in love. The soft drinks are a little pricey, but you get to keep the cup and enjoy free refills. The price point is a little steep for an every day lunch ($8-$12 depending on what you get), but Newk's is definitely worth frequenting. Get there early, the line tends to lead out the door around noon. They give a 10% discount to federal employees - a great perk.
