We were driving through town and we were on a time limit. When we got there, they already had our order ready. They also gave us extra sauce, butter, and sour cream. One of the kids got a white chocolate cheesecake on a stick and he said it was wonderful. They also had some amazing sweet tea, which helped me stay awake for the drive. They had some humorous signs on the wall which we had to take photos of. The staff were great. This was a really nice place. Plenty of seating. I will definitely stop by every Big Potato Company that I pass by.

Small adoreable little resturant with that southern flare you would expect in the south....simple yet inviting. We received a big "welcome in" from the staff. As we walked to the register we noticed huge potatoes on custimers plates overflowing with goodness. My wife ordered the Loaded Seafood Potato and I ordered the New Mac n Cheese with Bacon Potato. Both of the dishes were lip smacking delicious. If you are in the Greenville, Alabama area and are looking for something different to sink your teeth into, you will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

I've run many trips to Montgomery Alabama, and I'm always looking another exciting way back to Mobile, mostly because Interstate 65 is some of the most boring road you'll ever drive, unless you're a big fan of trees. So I took a right turn I didn't intend and hit US 331 and found myself in a cute town called Highland Home, with "It Don't Matter Family Restaurant". I mean, with a name like that, how could I not stop?! So I parked on that very rainy afternoon, and went inside for something to eat. Now, this is exactly what you think of when you think of southern cooking. The menu was extensive and had everything you could want. Tables were spread out across the giant floor area, covered in table cloths. There is a buffet, for those with a large appetite. Very country, quaint and quiet. So I checked in on Yelp (Pro-tip: make sure you do this upon being seated). I perused the menu, and decided on the chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and fried okra. My waitress was friendly, and quickly took the order to the kitchen, and it arrived shortly after. This was a great choice! The chicken was juicy, and the breading was seasoned perfectly, the potatoes are the real deal, and the fried okra was some of the best I've ever had. The menu and the buffet were both full of choices, so I'm looking forward to going back and seeing what other southern culinary trouble I can get into.

Came in for lunch today and it was a nice first experience at this fairly recent restaurant/bar…read moreopening on highway 43 in Northport. The bartender who served me was lovely and incredibly helpful. The service was definitely the best part of the stop. I ordered the smoked chicken sandwich. Let me say first that the fries here are absolutely superb: natural cut, well fried, extremely generous in their portions. 10/10 The smoked chicken, on the other hand, was not quite as generous and was not quite as good. The meat was super dry and it was pulled so much as to be quite small and stringy. I find smoked chicken to be better when slightly larger chunks are part of the pulling process. Similarly, there was at least three instances of gristle so intense I had to spit it into my napkin. No offense to the pit master, but I think whoever was smoking this needed to take it off earlier and whoever was pulling it needed to check for inedible parts a bit more. None of this was enough to stop me from coming back for a second try at some point in the future. I will look to something else on the menu and update my review then.

From the second we walked in, the staff greeted us like we were long-lost cousins (the kind you actually like). It was the first visit for the couple with us, and our waitress went full-on professor mode--breaking down the menu like a college lecture, but way more fun. She even explained the colors and textures of the dishes like we were about to paint with our food instead of eat it. I can already see this place turning into Bama game day headquarters--with TVs everywhere, a pool table waiting for bragging rights, and not one but two bars to keep things lively. Prices stack up about the same as other spots in town, but the food? Way better. The Smokin' Joe's sandwich and fries didn't just hit the spot--they rented the spot and threw a party on it.
