So, your bill becomes doubled. 2 days camping = $60.00 Truck to pull camper and wife's car = $60.00 ($20 just to leave in the morning) Total = $120.00 In addition, the roads in the park are in terrible repair. Pot Holes 3 feet wide shake everything in the trailer.... requiring you to crawl all the way to your spot and back out. We will not be going back to this park to camp again.

I recommend having a boat or coming with someone who has a boat because that's what most people do during the day. They head out onto the river to tube, cruise and hang out. A very nice view in itself. Then the boardwalk travels on, then goes under a bridge and next to a sand dune, then Bam! The lake and path funnel into Lake Michigan and the path onto an amazing beach. I had no idea this beautiful public beach was here. The views are outstanding and the sand is pristine. We took the dog, yes on a leash, for a walk of the beach and had a great time. Overall an easy 5 star review. Would I return? Absolutely! A must stop.

The restrooms were as clean as one can expect being a park setting. There was real soap rather than just sanitizer and air dryers. The park grounds appeared well maintained. This park also has an art/craft barn, and a decent little shop with necessities, snacks, beverages (even coffee and hot chocolate!), And of course live bait. The day pass is $10.00 per vehicle. The only real downfall was how far you have to walk to the bathrooms

The attendant asked for my phone number so that the manager could call me back. No call back. Hours later I left a voicemail asking for the manager to call me back. Nothing. At the end of the business day I called again and the person that answered the phone said that the manager had to call me back but would see if they were available. The person did not put me on hold so I could hear the conversation in the background and the "manager" didn't even pick up the phone. She just yelled at the attendant to tell me "no refunds ". She wouldn't even come to the phone and talk to me. This manager is super rude and unprofessional. I will never book this park again.

Amenities include rest rooms, three shelters, playground, BBQ grills, volley ball courts, soccer field, horseshoe pits, a small board walk and fishing area. The drive up is absolutely gorgeous and lined with dense trees and forests including paved trails for running or biking. There are mostly private homes here with gated access so this is your best bet if you want to get some beach time or hiking in...Or maybe you plan on camping here for a few days... There is a park daily entrance fee of $5.00 for residents, $8.00 non for vehicles. Camper's are also allowed for an additional fee. Dogs are welcome and can be unleashed through a separate beach entrance. The park itself is densely populated with trees and just incredible. Watch out for ticks here.. This is a little paradise. Take the 57 steps up the Outlook for amazing views. Walk up the hilly sand dunes and explore...this is a fresh water sand dune park and worth the destination. Amazing landscapes here.. Park itself is very well kept and clean. Showers and restrooms are located at entrance with vending machine. A few small grills and picnic tables are on site... I can't say enough good things about our experience here... Amazing park. Stay for the sunset!
