Unfortunately it was unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. From professors consistently showing up late, to just damn everything. It looks like a great school as its new but its in a terrible area, so walking home late from class i was getting harassed constantly by people. It was just miserable, definitely do not recommend, they don't care what goes on, which is typical of universities in general. NJIT lacks leadership, diversity and a community. Terrible school don't be fooled by the upward trend in there university table scores, they are data driven to hit these metrics by hook or by crook. I'd happily talk and to anyone before going to this school and id I would advise them about strictly not going, you will be hugely disappointed. I completely concur with these other reviews "This school only cares about collecting revenue, if you have a problem with a course/professor do not expect any support from the school. If you withdraw from the course because the professor is running an experimental program..." - Yuri A "The university staff there are very unprofessional and disrespectful. They make a lot of stupid mistakes and act like nothing has happened if you point them out. In fact, many of them don't care about doing their jobs well. " - JW "I attended here for an year and gracefully transferred to one of the top ranking schools in the states. This school really gave me an other chance! And I am thankful for that. But the quality of the school has to be improved somehow. The school really needs to spend much more to maintain the territory SAFER, SAFER, SAFER (24/7 security guards are..." - MHK All these reviews gave 1 star and are absolutely true. Never will i ever in my life recommend this university, it is amongst the absolute worse. My university email was jn376@njit.edu and i can guarantee not a single person from the university faculty will read these reviews and care never mind reach other. Toxic

I may be biased but I have a bad history with this place including being a victim of the well known…read more"RU screw". I could go on with my grievances all day but I'll contain myself. The Newark campus is somewhat sparse with construction constantly going on just like in New Brunswick to beautify the school. Unfortunately it doesn't look like any of that is happening and after being here for a few years it barely looks like anything has changed. It's a headache coming down here in the morning and afternoon so unless you live near campus, which also not very inviting, it's just a hassle coming here, parking is a trap if you chance it parking on the street or you pay for a parking pass which still require $5 a pop after the $30+ subscription. Bursar, admissions, administration and everything else you have to deal with all bring on migraines and while I know this could be said for any University this one is especially so. I know Rutgers is held in high regard but personally my experience has been most unpleasant and coming to Newark for class is convenient but only a lesser of 2-3 evils.

The Newark campus is nice. With the exception of the Business School, the campus is clustered…read morewithin two/three blocks. The administrative building (Blumenthal) is found on University (between Warren and Raymond). You go here for all your registration and bursar needs. The health center is also found there. Most of the buildings where you take classes are contained in the block created by University, Warren, MLK, and Bleeker. Within that square, it's convenient to go to classes. Plus, in this square block are the Dana Library and the Paul Robeson Student Center. The dorms are between Bleeker and Central. Then there are the buildings between University and Washington - Center got Law and Justice (law school and some criminal justice classes there), the parking Deck, Golden Dome Athletic Center, and other classroom buildings. There is also another Parking Deck on Washington between Raymond and Warren. If you don't have a car, there are many public transportation options. The campus is located close to the Washington Street stop on the light rail, and there are also a number of buses that will bring you close to campus. There is a lot more passive green areas and places to sit outside, than when I went to school here many moons ago. It used to be just concrete and red outdoor tables that were bolted to the ground (not as picturesque as today). I am a fan of the Rutgers-Newark Campus. Plus it's close to the Newark Museum and the Main Newark Public Library, as well as the Haynes & Co. building and other nice spots in Halsey Village.

This review pertains to the Rutgers Law Library…read more The Rutgers Law library is one best public law libraries in New Jersey. The on site collections and electronic databases allow students and scholars of both history and law to access complete case studies of the federal government and all the states, but also a wealth of scholarship on the history of law in the Unites States as well. Rutgers Newark Law library is also home to the special collections of the Don M. Gottfredson Library of Criminal Justice, which holds some of the finest documents on crime and criminal justice in the world. As a student of American Indian History, I found the library's extensive collections pertaining to Early U.S. Treaties and Laws to be beneficial to my own research, as well as any historian or scholar interested in American Indian History during the Early American Republic. The collections pertaining to Federal Indian Policy in the nineteenth century are even more extensive and equally beneficial. Circulation and Access services is the face to every library, and as a visiting scholar at Rutgers Law I found the staff to be incredibly helpful and welcoming. Stan Sniecikowski and Judith Simms not only made me feel welcome, but were highly knowledgeable of the collections and were eager to assist in my research by all means possible. I've been to a lot of university libraries and it is rare you find such kind individuals, passionate about research and happy to share their knowledge with you. Judith and Stan allowed me to print 61 pages for free because the scanners would not recognize my USB drive. Print copies are typically 10 to 15 cents a page... and that adds up! I am grateful. The building itself is beautiful. The center of the library contains a long and winding spiral staircase that takes you to every floor (although you can of course use the elevator!), and the library is filled with beautiful glass windows that light up the rooms. The Law Library is located inside the Rutgers School of Law, nestled in between the School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Business. It's easy to find, not far from the huge parking deck on University Ave. Also worthy of noting, the library is open to the public. You must sign in at the circulation desk, show a photo ID, and wear a badge. Whether you are a visiting scholar, an alumni, or member of the public, I would give access services a call before you arrive to make sure of all the library's policies. Regardless, the Rutgers Newark Law Library is a very pleasurable and stress free environment to visit and do research.

To say that they taught me would be trite, because what they actually did was make me over. They gave me direction and showed me the "how" of analytical thinking, critical evaluation, expository writing and verbal advocacy, while never letting me forget that a lawyer lives to serve others. All at a price I could afford. The level of caring and the scholastic and moral direction they provided me made me who I am today. They have stayed in contact with me through 43 years of practice, and I can look back, compare my career to other practitioners', and say absolutely that the education with which they equipped me was second to none. This school is not a degree factory, for all that it's part of a large public university. It's more of an academy in the classical sense. Take the U.S. News rankings with a grain of salt. A legal education is what you make of it, and this is an excellent place to be from. You will have no problem getting a job or making a career.

However upper management including directors and finance directors are crooks and the place itself extremely overpriced for a run down and dated facility . Upper management (women in the office) are rude, uneducated and extremely unreasonable, They are all about the money and not there for the benefit of the children/parents, Not to mention the facility needs some updating, dingy dirty walls, hallways and bathrooms. This place should be a state of the art facility based on how they rob the parents. I am very unhappy with this place and extremely applaud by Sophie's (Finance director) treatment towards me, a single mother of 2 when I expressed a cancellation of a summer camp application. Yes I understand policy, yes I understand protocol, however that does not give you the right to yell at a LOYAL, PAYING PARENT. It was unacceptable and I urge all parent to look else where. Do not deal with these money hungry, extremely unreasonable, uneducated, rude ladies. Stay far away!

I was amazed at how many people attended this free event and how many went into the Meadowlands, in order to view the eagles. There were many with professional camera equipment, huge binoculars, and very knowledgeable with ALL of the wildlife throughout the area. During the morning viewing, there were two huge eagles flying. We were told, that they feed on the eels and small animals. As far away as the eagles were perched on the tall transmission towers, they were visible with the naked eye.... that's how large they are. I recommend that everyone attend this Eagle Fest for many reasons. You'll receive a lot of eagle facts, history of the area, and will interact with many avid bird watchers, that left me in awe.
