They have excellent washugyu beef from Montana and a real wagyu beef from Japan. They also carry very good quality soy sauce you can use for dipping your steak in as youneat. This review is for the entire Co Op food center in Hunts Point. This is the Mother of all wholesale clubs. There are facilities for all kinds of foods. A meat facility, vegetable facility, seafood facility, etc. and when I say "Facility " I'm talking acres of buildings for each section. Although they cater to restaurants and supermarkets, they will sell to individuals if you can get in. Cash is King here. Each section has a gated entrance with ax security guard who will take your license when you drive in, but I believe security is s good thing. This place is s foodies dream, so why only 4 Stars Mikey, well it's Hunts Point, Bronx. Not the best or safest area. The key is never come to a full stop when driving through or out of Hunts Point. The end of summer is here and with it comes a family grilling session to celebrate another revolution around the sun. Being the steak lover that I am, I am always on the look out for new and tempting purveyors of fine beef products. This time I placed my bets on New York Prime Beef. I am so glad I did! I have to tell you, these steaks were by far the best steaks I have ever had the pleasure of preparing, serving, and eating - period. I ordered the Wagyu 4 Steak Box set on a Thursday morning and I received them Friday morning at 8:30 AM. The packaging was perfect; a small styrofoam cooler with thick insulation with two special icepacks that were still frozen when I opened the container. Each Wagyu steak was individually vacuumed sealed along with an additional layer of butcher paper on the outside. When they arrived I was shocked at how well these steaks kept their cool. This is a top-notch operation and it shows in every detail. Now onto the steaks themselves. I have never had a steak of this quality. Just looking at them and you know you have something special. I chose to cook these in two ways. 1. Sous Vide For the Sous Vide I left the steaks in their vacuum sealed bag, and placed them in at 130 degrees for 45 minutes. I then prepared a cast iron skillet with brown butter and seared the steaks and dousing them with the brown butter. 2. Reverse Sear For the Reverse Sear - I put them in the oven until the internal temperature reach 130 and then a did the same ritual as with the Sous Vide steaks - searing with cast iron skillet. I wanted to try these two methods of cooking as there has been lots of talk back and forth on which is better. For my taste I think I prefer the Sous Vide method. The marbling creates a smooth velvety texture that will linger on the palate and bring a smile to your face. From the first bite to the last it will be a journey for your tastebuds. It's like sipping a fine cognac, you need to take it slow and enjoy the ride. If you're considering ordering from New York Prime Beef, I can highly recommend it. Don't worry about shipping, it will get to you cold and fresh. Now I just need to figure out how I am going to top this one! :) read more

I had a coupon code for $125 off that came as part of a RobbVices box. (From NYPrime, not No expiration date. I carried this around in my wallet-admittedly forever. Life sometimes gets in the way of intention and caring for my mom with Alzheimer's consumed my time. I went to use this and the code didn't work. Sent an email- no response. Called and they said it expired. I said but there's no expiration date. He said yeah- they neglected to put that on. Well- wouldn't you honor it then? What were you going to buy anyway? Uhhh- Bacon? That's not enough. They'd owe you money. I'd buy several lbs and pay the difference. You should call them and get a different code. It expired. But how would I know if you didn't put a date on it?
