The whole event was very organized (including before hand). As we moved around their building all the stations were set up, so there was little hanging around. My class was split into a few sections, after a little team bonding and shouts of "meat" we got going. Firstly a run through of the anatomy of animals and things to look out for or attributes that change taste, we even touched on a few ethical issues which were interesting. Secondly Jessica ran through food labeling which was very interesting, I consider myself pretty well educated on meat purchasing but learnt a few things (I didn't know to look out for 1000% grass fed vs grass fed). Finally we got into the butchery section, initially with a demo then an attempt ourselves. I definitely learnt a lot of techniques I could use and they helped you throughout. Overall the class was great fun, the instructors were very helpful and at the end I had a lot of delicious meat to take home. Highly recommended. Matt

My friend in Chicago even ordered based on my recommendation and she loved the meat and said all was still chilled when arrived. She's ordered again. Doesn't matter if COVID restrictions or not, Mosner is my go-to now on for meat.

Next stop on my tour was Joe's Italian Deli. The timing was perfect, as it had just started to rain…read moreand we needed shelter- and Joe's is very roomy inside, with seating for those who wish to eat in. The interior of Joe's is awesome, with the walls stocked with a great supply of Italian cooking fare. As you journey towards the deli counter you're immediately greeted with an offer to sample the fresh, house made mozzarella. Captain obvious pro tip: SAMPLE THE MOZZ To put it plainly, this was the best mozzarella I have ever had in my life, and I am someone who enjoys his mozz. It had a delicious milky flavor, was extremely smooth, and had a wonderful salt profile that took it to another level. It was truly amazing. I could go on about it forever, but in the essence of time... Our intent was to order 2 chicken parm heroes, but the man at the counter who gave us the mozz sample recommended the 'Brontese' and after reading the ingredients (Prosciutto diParma, fresh mozz, wild arugula, Sicilian pistachio cream, evoo, cracked pepper) I went for it. Needless to say it may have been the best deli sandwich I've ever had. The way the pistachio combined with the prosciutto and mozzarella-but didn't overtake it, was amazing. So to go along with my Brontese, we ordered a Chicken Parm, and a Bronx Bee (crispy chicken cutlet, hot honey drizzle, fresh mozz, sweet soppressata, hot cherry peppers, baby arugula) and loved them all. Outrageous value as sandwich prices are extremely reasonable. Awesome experience at Joe's. The staff was incredible...helpful, kind, and went out of their way to talk food with us. The location and atmosphere were perfect. And the food....you have to try it to believe it.

My daughter and I were heading to the Bronx Zoo and I was craving a solid Italian sandwich. A quick…read moreYelp search for the best sandwiches in the Bronx led us right to Joe's Italian Deli. All in all, it's a great spot, and I can definitely see us coming back the next time we're in the area. The interior is classic Italian deli market, lined with shelves fully stocked with great Italian cooking staples. It's a classic, perfect neighborhood deli setup that gives you that local little Italy vibe. The Italian sandwich was really good--packed with ham, cotto salami, and mortadella, with incredible, well-balanced flavors. All on a tasty sesame seed soft roll. Even my daughter, who isn't usually a sandwich person, took a few bites! Prices are fair for what you get. The sandwich was so large, we saved 1/2 to eat in the Zoo later in the day. The staff was solid--helpful and kind. I was a little sad we didn't get the fresh mozzarella samples that a lot of Yelp reviews mentioned. The other minor downside was the wait: it took nearly 15 minutes to get our sandwich, which is probably the longest I've ever waited for an Italian sub. Still, a great overall experience. More importantly, the price to value "mathed!"

I had a very disappointing experience with Chicken vs Lamb and won't be ordering again…read more My order was handled poorly from the start--food was left sitting instead of being given to the delivery driver who was already there, and parts of my order were missing. The food also didn't match what was advertised. I ordered a salad expecting what was shown on the menu, but received slimy arugula, strong-smelling feta, and dry grape tomatoes. When I brought it up, I was told the system has been like this for "2 months," yet the online and in-person menus are still not updated and don't match Uber Eats or what is actually served. The chicken over rice was overly sauced and served cold, and the photos online are outdated and misleading. When I tried to address the issue, I was told to "just take the tomatoes off," which didn't solve the problem since that wasn't what I ordered. The staff was also dismissive and rushed the conversation, making it feel like the issue was being blamed on me. Overall, there's a lack of consistency, poor communication, and misleading menu information. I won't be ordering again. I'd recommend Space Grill instead--the food is much better, though they close around 11pm.
