I have been doing dip for more than five years now. I moved last Fall from NYC to DC and in DC, I've been struggling to find a good manicurist. I tried my fourth salon last night and the lady there botched my French dip manicure. It looked like trash and she even had to do it twice because the first time she did, it was even worse. I had already spent three hours at that salon and it was late and I had a very early flight to Miami the next day so I just left and decided to get them done here in Miami. I went to this spot, I got them done with the salon owner who is absolutely excellent and my nails look fantastic. And she worked quickly and expertly. I didn't get French again though because by this time I was just tired of the process and I opted for white to match my toes. My poor nails that had to go through three start-finish dip manicures within 24 hours finally looked beautiful. My third time here. I live out of state and this place is close to my hotel. It is okay in a pinch but subpar for sure. Today I went in they had me sit in a pedicure chair and there were cut nails all over the floor around the seat. That's disgusting! I let it go and then I went from the pedicure to the nail chair for just a regular manicure. I waited 15 minutes for my nails to dry just clear polish and they were not drying. The owner said I needed to move because she wanted to mop. I told her my nails weren't dry. She came over 3 times and asked me if I was staying or leaving. There were other people still there! BE CAREFUL! I got cut so badly that I was bleeding into the water and all over for over an hour. The lady tried to play it off by continuing to paint the toe and spray it with alcohol (ow). Never said sorry to me. She was literally laughing to her coworkers. I felt overwhelmed and in so much pain but she still had to finish all my fingers and toes. However, then trails of blood started to drip all over and I told her multiple times. Eventually told the owner and she got me a bandaid. I still was forced to pay full price, and just wanted to get out of there. I will never come back after how I was treated and will tell all my friends to NEVER return. Also, the tools were covered in grime and those were the ones being used on my feet. Just made it worse that those cut me pretty deeply. Terrible experience. Last week I made my pedicure. The manicurist didn't remove completely my ingoing nails. My gel manicure I select a mood changing color, supposedly was brown in cold and yellow in hot. The color is "Dessert Sunrise", but the color became orange and brown. At the end I finish with my pedicure yellow and my manicure orange and brown. The nail technician didn't offer to me to change my pedicure or manicure. The only thing is that accept credit Card and u can use the regular nail polish, in case that u don't want to use the gel. This is definitely my new go to nail salon. I made an appointment on a Wednesday for that same Friday at 5pm and they booked me with Mila. Let me tell you, being as picky as I am with my nails I was not disappointed with her service. Mila paid close attention to every detail and made sure I was comfortable. When I couldn't decide on a shade of grey, she brought one to me as if she knew the color I had in my mind. It was perfect! I am used to my gel color peeling after a week or lifting but I am on week 2 and it looks as fresh as it did on day one. They speak both English and Spanish and accept credit cards. I went there super last min because I had a doctor's appointment the next day and had to be at work in 2 hrs. When I called, the lady on the phone was very sweet! I asked her if she had anyone available and she told me yes and gave me some instructions on how to get to salon (I was grateful for this!). When I arrived, they quickly greeted and assigned me a seat. I told the lady (I don't remember her name) I just wanted a refill with a very light color. While she was doing my nails she kept talking to the other nail techs and kept stopping what she was doing (this was very disturbing). All the nail technicians were talking, laughing and joking among each other while a few customer were in there. After an hour, I look at my nails and they came out crooked & the gel was poorly spread (very thick and uneven)... I really wanted it to work since they're not far from home and the salon looks nice. I actually like this place. The location is a little run down and in the Flagler area but my manicures and pedicures here were actually done well and the tools were sterilized in front of me as was the pedicure spa. The massage chairs are actually pretty good if you like deep tissue, I've fallen asleep over the loud cubanasas screaming their "NO ES FACIL!" debates. The 2 technicians I've seen here work differently than the Vietnamese shops and really go out of their way to make sure you like the service, they actually take their time with gel manicures. The owner, Sai is Cambodian and she's pretty friendly, you can hear her talking to her employees in perfect Spanish and runs a tight ship. First time I went in she immediately sat me with a girl named Rosana. There's variety in their gel polish selection and they even have these imported brands with speckled textures and glitter if you're into that. Rosana did a great job rehabilitating all my broken nails and bruised toes. For being hard of hearing she's extremely receptive and gets IN THERE. I'm one of those people that need to get my hands and feet done every 10 days because my growth is absurd no matter how much I hydrate and buff and she will grate off every bit of dead skin and take her time. Sai is great as well, she actually made my feet look more elongated and prettier despite being puffy and stumpy from all my heel torture. I don't know about the other techs, they're usually screaming at each other. Go for Rosana or Sai. The prices are fair. read more

I now live in Broward and havnt found a nail salon that compares. My cuticles are always bad within a week and my gel is not the same. The girls here take their time and listen to what you want. If there is a color you are looking for hey help you and they take walk ins. I never make an appt because I don't know when I will be able to go so when I make it there I'm attended right away. Staff is friendly and salon is relatively clean. I had a pedicure and gel manicure on Sunday evening and by Tuesday morning my nails were chipped. I would expect gel to last at least two weeks. Pedicure was awesome my feet are as smooth as a baby's bottom and toes are polished nicely. There are lots of polish options but I wouldn't suggest wasting any extra money on gel it doesn't last. read more

Where can I start? I've been coming to this place for a couple of years now. At first I wouldn't go as often, but now I am a regular client every two weeks. The owners name is Say and she is beyond amazing. The nail salon recently expanded so it's really spacious now. The nail techs all of them are amazing. I usually do my nails with Allan, the owner's son. He is just amazing. Takes his time doing my nails and leaves my feet like a baby's foot. So smooth. I have problems with ingrown nails on my big toe and he just goes really in there and takes everything out, I just love it... The best is that they are all friendly, Say accommodates me at my best convenience even if I text her a day before for an appointment, Allan is my boy. I've also done my nails with, Melody(her daughter) she's barely there but she is really awesome too. I love Sailyn's job as well, she really knows her stuff. I've done my nails with the owner and she's great. I will keep coming to this place, they are just so good and the prices are incredible. You'll see me there every two weeks and Allan is always there waiting for me. I've never had to wait for more than 20 minutes. If you want great prices and a nice nail job, go here. They speak perfect Spanish even though they are from Cambodia and some of the girls are Hispanic and they also speak English.. Family owned business, home of Shellac & Gel nails. You really get your money's worth. Make sure to make appointment to have a spot. And when it comes to pedicure they leave your feet brand new. Their chairs give you the perfect massage for after work. This people are actually does what manicure should be like.
